Ah I don't know seven one minute he's all sweetness and light eating everything and more, then he's Whiney and clingy telling me his bum hurts 🙈 Remind me why I want another 🤔

jupiter nothing much to report on the symptom spotting front today. Noticed some clear EW like discharge but that's it. I'm normally having lotiony discharge at this stage so that's different I guess... otherwise nothing to report

HeyJupiter · 15/03/2017 18:53

mummy I had some random EW like discharge on Monday (11DPO)! I've never had that before. It went back to normal lotioney stuff that afternoon and has remained that way since. Maybe a good sign!

HeyJupiter · 15/03/2017 18:54

seven I love the sound of parnsips in your head (am sure she is just as great in real life!) That's brilliant Grin It's funny how you create mental imagines isn't it... for example I always imagine MrsC as a bit Marilyn Monroe like - short blonde bob, red lipstick, glamorous...

tessapop · 15/03/2017 19:07

Aww @Mummyme87 maybe your LO has intuition! He might know something you don't - fx! I've had a few very mild AF like cramps this afternoon but other than that nothing! Can't recall if I ever get cramps so early before af?

HbH04 · 15/03/2017 19:20

Haha love the appearance speculations! Totally do that (although i had parsnips down as tall & blonde!!)

Excited for our next testers (mummy&tessa i think??)

I'm symptom spotting like a manic... jeez... got days to go yet😒

TheGrumpySquirrel · 15/03/2017 19:49

Haha the appearance speculation is funny! Would love to hear more although I've not thought about it at all!

Feeling rough today as went out last night - prosecco and wine! Still on the diet though I need carbs right now 😑

Buzz & orange you aren't out till AF shows!

I've got loads of travel coming up in April/may/June: France (family thing at Easter), LA (work), Spain (work), Italy (work) should be nice weather etc but I'm a bit apprehensive because I hate flying and will have to request Valium from the GP - they know we are TTC so hope they aren't funny about it - I'm being careful not to get pregnant until June now as I wouldn't want to travel with morning sickness either.

So bummed that my house refurb is on hold and I still haven't got round to sharing the wedding pictures.. may tackle them this weekend

buzzmoon · 15/03/2017 20:12

grumpy I must ask what you do for a job? I'm sure you've said before but I've forgotten!

Seven0fNine · 15/03/2017 20:13

Haha Jupiter I always read MrsC's posts with a lovely Irish accent!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 15/03/2017 20:29

Buzz I'm an investment manager. Don't think I've mentioned it actually.. I've said loads of outing stuff but doubt anyone I work with reads mumsnet! I hope..

buzzmoon · 15/03/2017 21:15

Sounds stressful grumpy but worth it :) hope you've eaten all the carbs after you night out? I swear prosecco is magic for me, I never get hangovers

buzzmoon · 15/03/2017 21:16

I always worry that people might be reading this I know! 🙊

buzzmoon · 15/03/2017 21:18

In my mind confused has mid length straight brown hair and is quite skinny and like always perfectly groomed 🙈

HbH04 · 15/03/2017 21:23

No buzz !

We've already seen confused's hair... was long platinum but then did it grey-ish (in a good way!!)

Penguin27 · 15/03/2017 21:27

Haha I love hearing about everyone's mental pictures of what everyone else looks like! I must have a very bad imagination, or just never thought about it really... Confused

Investment managing sounds really interesting but also stressful grumpy. I'm sure the chances of someone who knows you being on this thread is very unlikely! Having said that, I'm always worried about it!

tessapop · 15/03/2017 21:43

Mmmm Prosecco

buzzmoon · 15/03/2017 21:47

Oh hb I'm rubbish!! But I'll stick to my mental picture anyway 😂

MrsC2017 · 15/03/2017 23:35

Hi girls only getting on now! What a day! I love that I'm pictured as Marilyn Monroe, that has made my day 😂 😂 😂 I am blonde and actually DS has a height chart that tells you what you are as tall as and I'm as tall as Marilyn Monroe! Unfortunately that's where the similarities end 😂! But please do carry on imagining me as Marilyn with an Irish accent!!! I'm the most unvisual person ever, I can never picture people or things and I don't recognise faces well either!
Good luck to the testers mummy and tessa!
buzz sorry mother nature has thrown u such a curveball lovely, she's a real meanie!
grumpy your travel plans sound so fun, very jel, your job also sounds very important and challenging, my job is utterly boring!
Watched 'loving' the movie tonight, it's excellent! Would highly recommend!

MrsC2017 · 15/03/2017 23:38

grumpy my DH hates flying too, he tends to drink (a lot) on the plane to numb the fear.....Probably worrying that that's how he handles stress but there you go.... Hopefully they'll give u the valium and you're so right morning sickness and planes would not be one bit fun!

Cocktails30 · 16/03/2017 00:48

Hi all. Sorry I don't post much (I never have much to say and work is so hectic). Just had a read through. Congrats Jupiter!

We had our geneticist appt today. It went as hoped. They are happy with the two year research we have had so far and happy to make an assumption of the gene. So our choices are we try naturally and have a 50/50 chance of passing it on so then we could consider cvs or this new method that is just emerging where they test the mother's blood. We would then have to continue whether to continue with the pregnancy or not if the baby had the gene.

Second option they refer us for Pgd (ivf with gene scanning) which she said would take at least a year.

So now what to do!!!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 16/03/2017 05:08

Morning ladies, parsnips checking in!

Morning!
That's a big decision cocktail what is your gut instinct at the moment?

I dreamt I was pregnant... I used a FRER and got a strong line. Then I woke up! Cruel dreams!!

HeyJupiter · 16/03/2017 06:45

cocktails, big decision but so glad they made you feel heard this time. Are you and your partner going to be tested or will the data so far give an accurate assumption? How are you feeling?

parnsips haha! I knew sevens mental image reminded me of something. MrsC bet you do look like Marilyn :)

Mummy you never know.. could be a good sign! Will have everything crossed for you tomorrow x

Cocktails30 · 16/03/2017 07:06

We don't need to be tested as we know my husband has the gene (he has a son with the diseases) so we know there's a 50/50 chance.

Really not sure yet! He went away for work straight from hospital so no time to discuss. I sort of want to have a go naturally, but then if we have aetbthe ball rolling with Pgd it wouldn't be seen as very good but then also if the baby had the condition and we terminated we then have to start again with the Pgd and everything is delayed then 😕 Plus we can't try until at least June at the earliest (due to having to be in my job a year) and we are going to Florida in may so worried about zika so technically should wait until November.

Who knows what to do!

tessapop · 16/03/2017 07:19

Ok so that was weird, I was just brushing my teeth and giving my tongue a quick brush at the end, when I spontaneously threw up a bit over my hand! What's going on??!

Penguin27 · 16/03/2017 07:40

Morning all! Haha parsnips, love it!

Mummy maybe it wasn't a dream but a prophecy?! Shock

Wow that's such a hard decision cocktails. What disease does the gene cause and how would that manifest if a child were to be born with it? I'm sure you've explained before, but I can't remember..
