Getting Ready For Baby Challenge Thread 5

The fastest moving TTC thread where we are all trying to get ourselves ready for our bundles of joys. Come and join the madness.

Yeah buzz it's 15 weeks before you go off but I don't get new pay deal confirmed until the end of January so ideally wouldn't want to announce a pregnancy before then. However i want to be back at work by September (busy for us) so that would mean only 3-4 months mat leave! My original plan was to aim for an end Feb due date to get 6 months off - march to August.
Hmm having typed this out I'm wondering how realistic it will be to hide bump until 20-25 weeks! Maybe I'll stick with plan A, but I'd like to get this next pay rise locked in as mat leave could stall my progress for a while, and with plans for DH to be SAHD, I need every penny I can get!

Hugs for you mummy it feels so unfair when we are trying and others just get lucky! I'm sure you'll get your BFP soon.

Well the first day of new weight loss plan has not started well because I overslept and missed yoga! Oh well, think I needed the sleep. Will be sticking to the diet! We have got MIL and SIL coming for brunch and I'm determined to say no to toast!

My DH is killing me mentally atm... he attitude stinks i mention something about tidying and he goes all teenage boy being rude and then i get angry and do it all!... im at the end of my emotional tether! And then he skulks out the man room an hour later acting like nothing has happened! God men!!

Confused I feel your pain.. I tried to tell DH he needs to tidy the kitchen every night as it descends into chaos otherwise.. his response was to say I should do more.. he doesn't realise it's him who makes most of the mess and doesn't tidy 😡

Confused I definitely feel your pain! Men are useless! When I've had the "I need more help around the house" chat, DH always agrees and says he'll do more, but nothing changes!

I had my first experience of drinks avoidance last night! As I'm in the 2WW I decided I would go easy but not give up the odd drink altogether. I managed a super-slow pace and then said I felt a bit sick and went for water. I had prepped my DH to get tonic if I asked him for a G&T! First impressions? Drunk people are quite tedious

Ahhh buzz this is so exciting - will be checking thread all afternoon. If you’re 2 days late then wouldn’t worry about waiting for FMU (also we can’t wait that long) but try and hold wee for a few hours beforehand. Good luck!

orange ditto on maybe having sore boobs. But then again I did last month and it didn’t come to anything for me. I want some sodding spotting or something. Hang on in there, not long for us to go now. I’m already planning next months fertile week - I’ve psychologically written this month off already which is silly of me. Drunk people are indeed very tedious haha - I have my own to look forward to next weekend… but then again if AB has arrived might just join them.

Mummy sorry to hear you are feeling down, it is hard to hear about other pregnancies when you are trying but it really is only a matter of time for you :)

I'm 5 + 3 today according to first day of LMP. I'm really really, nervous as on Monday, after a chat with DP, I'm going to tell my managers before we finalise any new contract that I'm pregnant, I can't bear the thought of them thinking I've kept it a secret on purpose and don't want them to see it as me taking the extra money and skipping off on maternity leave for a year a few months later

Afternoon ladies, another manic few days for me. AB was only 3 days long and the last day might aswell not of even existed it was that light 👌🏼 cd 4 again now so let's see if we're gonna have another 24 day cycle. Oh is currently putting new skirting on in my little room and that'll be ready to go soon. Hopefully getting our new carpets fitted tomorrow as this is my master bedroom..no matttess or anything 😂

Thanks for the good feeling glitters, I only seem to have the same symptoms that I have had at this point the last two months (slightly sore boobs on outer side and quite tired.. think thats just normal and caused by progesterone though. Haven't felt anything that could be implantation or anything!) Good luck for the chat with your managers, I totally understand why you just want to get it all out there so you don't have to feel any guilt (not that I think you should but I know what you mean).
