It's stressful isn't it? I just keep thinking 'if I don't ovulate what the hell is wrong now and that's another bloody month of not getting pregnant'. Having to push these thoughts out of my head.

Sorry to hear your egg is late too ... mine was late this cycle ... I reckon it's down the imminent change in seasons .... you're right though it is a total stress you could do without .... I peed on 7 opks in one day this cycle cuz I was that stressed about it !!!! Xxx

magpie and bella what cd did you start using opks?!

I started mine a week early this month and thank god I did otherwise I would have bloody missed it! 😭

I started mine cd3 when af mysteriously stopped (usually a 8 day bleed)

I think the instructions on them to start at day 10 are a bit bad because I think today might be a positive today for me and that's only cd6. Like I said last night though I think something is up with this cycle anyway so not got too much hope.

I started using my Clear Blue dual hormone one on CD11 I think. Got a low fertility on first day I did, then forgot to do it next day and now have had 4 flashing smileys since, EMHW.

Magpie I would start earlier as rainbow said it's more likely you may have ovulated early... in a 30/32 day cycle and I ovulated cd11/12..... a week before I'm technically meant to!

@MissMagpie flashing smiley is a good sign tho, hopefully static smiley tonight/tomorrow. those CB digital dual OPKs can detect up to 4 days i believe.

i started mine on cd12 which is probably late and iv missed in. just based it all on first cycle so won't do that again, will start at cd8 xx

Ah ladies poas opks is frustrating! I tried to use them in Dec but got so frustrated with them being pearly white I gave up! I think I started a week before I was due to ov on January and seeing the 2 lines was like winning the lottery! Hopefully you both get +ve opks soon or get back on it next cycle!

If I had already ovulated, would I now be getting flashing smileys? Could that happen? My cycle average is 33 days but have had 28 day ones the past two months. I think it's more likely that I am having a slightly longer cycle like is my usual. I hope so anyway else I have missed the egg!

Didn't really have a method this month. I binned the OPKs off, and just DTD the day before, and the first 3 days of FW. I must ovulate more towards the beginning of FW.

Ahhhhh congratulations ohb - how exciting!!! I bet you're a bit in shock?!
Have you been having any symptoms?

I'd been using the cheapie OPKs for a couple months and like that, felt sure I missed my positive first month but tested from CD7 (!!) LOL onwards and got my positive ovulation on CD15. I peed on a stick three times that day though before I got my positive so I think they can be a hit or a miss sometimes! Not sure about the CB ones.

So, I finally called my GP who asked me to come in to confirm the pregnancy and get a bit of advice and folic acid prescribed (Even though I've been taking it already!) She couldn't have been nicer, confirmed I was around 4+6 judging by my LMP and called the midwife and am getting sent out an appt on Monday for 8 weeks.
Ohhhh it's getting frightening real now, isn't it moo? One week since our BFPs!!
