So we've maxed out our first thread, the positivity is building up nicely and we're joyfully moving on to a brand new thread...

This thread is for anyone TTC and is bursting with positivity, love and support as we cruise towards our BFP's.

New rules instead of saying AF due we say BFP due ...
Also you do not have to add your age or what cycle number you're on if you don't want to ...

The ultimate aim is to get everyone to destination BFP ASAP...
however the bus ride may take a little longer for some of us ...
it doesn't matter if you take the scenic route ...
as long you get there.

So plug in your stats and off we go xxx

Tested on Monday and was a bfn but thought I'd proper had the arrival of af this morning, the spotting suggest it's in the post. Trying to convince my self it could be a late implantation bleed but know the actual thing, roll on end of March!

Anna2006 · 01/03/2017 20:38

Leanne this may be a stupid question but that is deff a LH stick right?

It deff looks very nearly positive to me. Which would be strange for CD5. That's very early! Do you know when you usually ovulate?

Xxx

Alibaba2 · 01/03/2017 20:55

Totally gatecrashing here but Leanne, are you sure you had a proper period as opks can also pick up HCG?

CakesALot · 01/03/2017 21:15

Cd5 is very early. Hmm,maybe it is detecting hcg. Have you done a ph recently leannie? I'm thinking there's probably a reason the instructions on opks tell you to start testing later into your cycle, they know women like us will drive ourselves mad!

Dtd done. Ewcm seemed to dry up a bit. I think I'm ok. Will continue testing daily

helly it's so frustrating when your body isn't playing ball. If you get no more than spotting then maybe test again tomorrow? I spotted through the first 9 weeks of my pregnancy, from week 5 onwards. Also had 3 actual bleeds, just to confuse and baffle you all further!

LeannieRVN · 01/03/2017 21:42

I really appreciate your replies, thank you! It's definitely an LH stick, but I think I need to do some more research on hcg. I have no idea when I ov as this is the very first tine TTC for me. Similar thing happened last month though. I had a faint line on cd7. I didn't think much about it as the tine, just accepted it as negative as it was my very first stick. But then I had negative sticks all the rest of the month......not sure what's happening

Anna2006 · 01/03/2017 21:48

Hmm yeh odds Leanne. How long are you cycles? If you were ovulating that early in your cycle I would expect you to have a cycle not much longer than 24/25 days. Think longest a luteal phase is normally 16 days

Xx

Ohb0llocks · 01/03/2017 21:55

Didn't get the quickie in tonight. I'm bloody shattered. Told him to run me a bath (which I'm in!) and then straight to bed. I'll definitely dtd tomorrow.

I'm in the middle of FW now, and don't I know it, my boobs are so damn sore!

Roseandbee · 01/03/2017 22:01

Sorry AF got you helly sending lots of positivity and baby dust your way.

Leannie it's a strong line but still technically negative, you may find when you do Ov your test line will go darker than the control. I got an almost positive on cd 10 which quickly turned back to a negative and have only just got what I think is positive today Cd 13. Pretty sure my lines were equal but I like to see my test line go darker to be sure only I'm on my last opk :-/ I like to continue to monitor to make sure I don't have a second surge

Thanks hippy, although the good news is a hycosy is supposed to make you more fertile for a couple of months after so at least there would be a silver lining. But best to just get my bfp out the way this month I think!

Fingers crossed for you Sarah and dolly! Is anyone else testing soon? I reckon I have to wait till at least the 12th

LeannieRVN · 01/03/2017 22:24

Good luck to the soon to be testing! I'd love to see some bfps!!

Anna my cycles are generally 25-26 days, but have been 24, so you've defintely got me thinking....

Cakes, what's a ph? Feeling very dim here! I'm a vet nurse, so pretty clued up on physiology bur I have to admit I'm floundering a little, trying to get to grips with the human female cycle! 😂

Rose thank you..that info is really helpful, and hopeful!

midgetjen · 01/03/2017 22:33

So shattered today and still really crampy so it's definitely either AF or BFP on the bear horizon. Not due to test till Monday but I may do it over the weekend as I'll have more time!

I love your pma dolly thank you!!! I have my fx that af does not turn up!!! 🤞🏼

Leannie if I were you I would do an opk every day of this cycle then you can start to draw some patterns from it!!

Thanks for those quotes hippy, I esp like the last one. Xx

Charley2016 · 02/03/2017 07:47

Morning ladies!

Midget FX those are BFP signs rather than AF! I'm sure you'd be fine to test at the weekend with a FRER. How many DPO are you?

Leannie really strange about the OPK! If you're sure it was a definite period and you're not already pregers then I would agree with Sarah to keep doing them every day to know your normal pattern.

Rose how are you feeling? I have heard lots about hycosy and increased fertility for a few months too so FX and well done on the PMA! As you said, be good to get a BFP before though.

OhB sometimes the rest and relaxation does more good I think. Hopefully you're feeling more energised today. Nearly the TWW!

Helly how are you feeling today?

I'm still crampy and it's gone right down in to my hips today! Bloody hurts 🤔

CakesALot · 02/03/2017 08:04

There's some bfps lurking here for sure! I have everything crossed for some awesome news this weekend!

leannie sorry, that should've said pg as in pregnant!! Doh! Sorry to confuse you!

Dollydaydream2829 · 02/03/2017 08:14

Morning everyone!
Thanks for the quotes hippy
I agree with the other girls leannie - keep using the OPKs and see how your cycle pans out. Hopefully you get a darker line later in your cycle.
I'd be tempted to test early with those symptoms midget - maybe Sat morning?
No problem sarah - I really want BFPs this weekend!
What DPO are you charley?
This morning, I woke up with a slight, ever so slight bit of darker discharge, so have convinced myself that it's the start of my usual spotting. I'm pretty gutted at the thought and don't know if testing tomorrow is a good idea or not now? If, and only IF I was lucky enough to have implantation spotting, there would be no point in me testing tomorrow as surely there wouldn't be enough of a level to be detected???

Anna2006 · 02/03/2017 08:35

Yeh with that length of cycle Leanne I would honk you ovulate a bit earlier than he standard CD14 so keep goin with the OPKs. Maybe your like an CD10 ovulator.

Oh no dolly maybe see what the rest of the day brings!

V excited for you ladies to get testing at the weekend. There's a BFP lurking in there somewhere!

Hippychic79 · 02/03/2017 09:56

Charley 7DPO today then, so fx successful implantation is going on. The weekends usually fly by fast, so not too long to wait.

Lean My OPK knowledge isn’t that great and I’ve never tested that early so I’m not able to comment here, but the other ladies on here definitely know what they’re talking about so I would definitely take their advise and continue to test.

Dolly I think I would test, but its totally your call. I’ve had a twin pack of FRER’s stashed for two cycles now – first cycle I was poorly and didn’t even dtd in fw so didn’t bother wasting one and last cycle I used a bog standard clearblue as I left it quite late to test. This cycle I think I’m gonna go for the FRER not sure when though, I’m thinking 10 or 11 DPO.

Sarah Good that you used OPK’s, I went for a very relaxed 2nd and 3rd cycle where I didn’t even use OPK’s and I definitely regretted it. I think being relaxed is definitely the way forward but it’s good to use OPKs so at least you know when you ovulated. Can’t believe he hasn’t noticed, bloody men… my DP would be exactly the same though.

Helly fx it’s just late implantation bleed and doesn’t progress to full on AF. I can totally see why you don’t want to get your hopes up though, I’m exactly the same.

Alibaba Feel free to join us 

Cakes Good work on DTD – whoop whoop. And thank you for the information about spotting and bleeds on your last pg, maybe I’m a few months pg after all lol. I think you’re right, there are definitely some BFP’s on the horizon!

0hb Sorry to hear you didn’t manage to dtd last night but on the plus side, it gives the doreens time to refresh themselves, it only takes one little swimmer

Rose I’ve got a friend on MN who had a hycosy a month or so ago and she said it wasn’t that painful and it does make you more fertile. Hopefully you won’t need it though. Still haven’t drawn my twins!

Midget FX for your BFP. I prefer to test at the weekend too.

Roseandbee · 02/03/2017 10:09

Fx for you aswell midgetjen

Leannie here is my opk from the morning cd 14 and my line is def darker. This might not happen to everyone as equal lines is still positive but it's confirmed for me that my very almost positive a few days ago wasn't my surge

Roseandbee · 02/03/2017 10:20

Charley & hippy that's good to hear about the hycosy. I mean it would be slighty exciting to get it done as I think you have a proper view of everything, but unfortunately I have dtd in my fertile window now so I'll prob miss out now due to the baby I'll be expecting soon, ahwell! Maybe next time.
Btw I have a feeling I Oved at 8.24am precisely lol I felt like an increasing pain in my left side then a pop which eased the pain. I tend to always get OV pain but the pop sensation is new

Hippychic79 · 02/03/2017 10:49

rose that's some precision on the ovulation right there .... I've got to the stage where I don't know what I feel anymore .... like is that a cramp? Is it not a cramp? Xxx

BellaMoon · 02/03/2017 10:59

@rose OMG i totally felt a pop a couple of weeks ago, was a few days after OV for me but it was a definite pop. i dismissed it as wind but now you've said it i don't feel so daft! it was like a small balloon being popped! xx

Hippychic79 · 02/03/2017 12:15

Welcome to England bella ....
Nice to see you treating yourself to a Starbucks ... hope it's not decaf 😉

Never felt a pop before, definitely pains but love the thought of an egg going pop! Like it's setting off from the starting blocks to meet its one true love called Doreen.... in getting carried away.

I have no idea what hycosy is?? Sounds interesting. Anything that makes you more fertile is interesting!

CakesALot · 02/03/2017 12:18

dolly hope that is the witch calling. Let us know how the rest of the day goes. Fx!

bella welcome to England indeed!! I do apologise!!
