So we've maxed out our first thread, the positivity is building up nicely and we're joyfully moving on to a brand new thread...

This thread is for anyone TTC and is bursting with positivity, love and support as we cruise towards our BFP's.

New rules instead of saying AF due we say BFP due ...
Also you do not have to add your age or what cycle number you're on if you don't want to ...

The ultimate aim is to get everyone to destination BFP ASAP...
however the bus ride may take a little longer for some of us ...
it doesn't matter if you take the scenic route ...
as long you get there.

So plug in your stats and off we go xxx

Bella I think I can def see something in your pic but I'm not sure what it is, is it a rocket? Oh actually i see now #merylstreepface

Moo working from home does have its advantages. I'm a tummy sleeper I can do side but I think I eventually roll over at some point but do like a pillow under me like a proper pregnant lady.

Btw my opk was def negative this evening. Will have to keep monitoring as it was a bit short for a surge.

sarahboro1 · 27/02/2017 22:46

Ooo Rose that's one of my favourite songs!! ☺️

Mrsb keep going and stay positive!! One day you will be rewarded for your patience. 💐

Roseandbee · 27/02/2017 23:26

Hopefully that's a sign Sarah, And I hope you will still be able to listen to it without hearing Doreen ;)

MrsBarnett everything still crossed for you

As long as we don't break out in song next time we're dtd Rose!!! 😳

Morning hippy, are you in tww now? Xx

Moo31 · 28/02/2017 07:53

Morning hippy I love seeing the positivity pictures - thank you :)

Rose you're all set for sleeping when pg. Must get myself a tummy pillow Grin

BellaMoon · 28/02/2017 08:23

thanks for the #PMA quotes this morn @hippy 😘

CD5 ladies and AF just packing her bags as i evicted her last night - she can do 1! will be glad to see the back of her as iv been terribly hormonal this month. i'm my own worst enemy when PMT'd. it's like a form of self harm which, by all accounts, is a terrible comparison but it actually is. i wanted DH to hug me on sunday, but instead of simply hugging him or asking for a hug i started an argument - totally nonsensical but i just couldn't stop myself. anyway, AF's been given the boot! right up the jacksy (is jacksy a scottish word or do you guys say it too?)

to all ladies in the 2WW omg i sympathise with you all. i found this but the hardest last cycle. i POAS from 4DPO and drove myself slightly insane, albeit i actually enjoyed it and didn't cause any harm lol.

@helly love that you've said BFP twice, that is definitely 200% #PMA coming your way 😁

i echo all the comments about SURELY WE'RE DUE A BFP SOON - we can't all be in this thread and not get at the very least, 1 BFP per month 🙏🏼 come on swimmers, time to go for gold 🥇

Hippychic79 · 28/02/2017 08:33

Have to fess up to this ....

CakesALot · 28/02/2017 08:54

So sorry something what a cow bag. Hope you've got some treats to cheer you up.

bella glad af has done one. Jacksey is well used in England too!! I'm cd7 so we're pretty close in our cycle. Here's to an active sex life and Doreen hunting!

hippy amazing! I'll be singing that all day!

BellaMoon · 28/02/2017 08:57

@hippy proper LOLs

BellaMoon · 28/02/2017 08:59

@something aww sorry about AF xx

BellaMoon · 28/02/2017 09:01

yesss @cakes we're cycle buddies 😁

i do get a lot of strange looks for some of the words i use when chatting to my english and welsh colleagues - glad jacksey didn't confuse 🍑 hehehe

NannyGR · 28/02/2017 10:02

So was planning to do the smep plan this month but have already failed as was struck down with the dreaded sickness bug! Does it matter if we start a day late on cd9??

Sorry about AF showing something

Hope everyone else is coping well in their 2ww, I can't wait for my fw to arrive!!

Hippychic79 · 28/02/2017 10:12

Dolly FX for your BFP and you won’t be needing anymore preseed. I’m sure I read on somewhere on MN maybe on this thread that thrush was a symptom for one lady when she got pg.

Moo Heroic symptom spotting effort, I do exactly the same – spot a symptom and then find a logical non pg related reason! It drives you nuts doesn’t it! Why can’t pg symptoms be unique! And thank you hun, I too am overjoyed that my poas efforts were not in vain! I don’t sleep on my tummy but if I did I would worry about it too… but you really don’t have to worry about this I am sure. Glad you like the positivity pics – I’m trying desperately hard to find new ones and don’t think I’ve duplicated too much.

Bella #loveyourhashtags #keepthemcoming #whatwillthiscrazyladybelikewhenshesupduffed

MrsT So sorry to hear that the witch has turned up! To be fair a day early, does mean you can get cracking sooner with a new cycle. #onemonthclosertobfp In the meantime, enjoy the wine, the cry and whatever the hell else you fancy. A suggestion to why it’s so hard – the best things in life come to those who wait… I’m so pleased that you got your PMA back so quickly…. FX for April #springBFP

Rose I think I’ve still got line eyes from all the opks I did at the weekend, that said the last one is looking positive. I also noticed on Saturday, particularly between 5am and 7:30am how much darker the line got in such a short space of time. Happy days dtd at lunchtime… lucky you…I love a bit of midday nookie …. I’m praying you get your BFP so you don’t have to go for the hycosy test.

Anna Let me know how you go with peeing on socks  I’m thinking the same as you – we must be due an influx of bfps soon… I’m so excited I can’t wait till they start flooding in. Good to hear you’re feeling optimistic, fx for you #cyclebuddy Thank you for the info regarding testing, I don’t think I will be as refrained as I was last month, that said I don’t want to test too early… 11 dpo sounds realistic…. Only 10 days away 

Thanks Charley I think the best thing about the 2ww is not poas. I’m symptom spotting already and I’m only 1dpo, am I crazy!?

Cakes eeeeek CD6, I’d get cracking on dtd, get those doreen’s moving. Love, love, love your instinct example with DD, that’s really amazing, you are obviously in tune with your body. It’s also lovely to hear that you had a heart to heart with DH about TTC, I think every other day is what a lot of books and nhs recommend… DP and I have lots of heart to hearts, and I am a bit sad that he’s not fully on board yet with this ttc lark… part of me would love to share this part of the journey (and the stress and the expense, lol)

Sarahb I get withdrawal when MN breaks too! Sorry I must have misread your post, I thought you dtd 3 times in fw. Sadly DP and I only tend to DTD once or twice a week, but if you take AF week into account I think it averages out at once a week and we usually do it quite late at night, by which time our enthusiasm is dwindling somewhat. I addressed the fact that we leave it too late last night and DP has agreed to get to bed earlier which is good news… once we get some enthusiasm back into things I will be addressing the frequency issue and also the fact that we seem to have fallen into doing it mainly on Thursday night… this wouldn’t be so bad if I got my positive opk on Thursday… but as the law of the sod would have it, this has not yet been the case! Yep – officially in the 2ww… 1dpo…. What day are you now hun?

Helly Sorry to hear it was a bfn… hopefully a faulty test or too early #PMA Love the meryl streep pic

Ohb Good spot on bella’s worktop – I have the same one too  Hope you enjoyed stripping that suit off DH last night …. #suitenvy #dtdenvy

MrsB CD76 - #hero #themostpatientwomaniknow

Bella you make me laugh hun …. I’m the same when I’m hormonal… I’m a complete bitch to DP and try and pick an argument when all I really want is big cuddle. Nice one giving AF the boot – hopefully she’ll take a long vacation from all of us very freaking soon!

Something Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the bloody witch… I am sooooooo sorry to hear that she’s turned up. Scream, cry and treat yourself to anything you fancy today and remember – one month closer to BFP #PMA

NannyG Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly sick but pleased to hear you’re feeling better in time for FW. I think you will be more than covered if you start dtd from CD9 … #happyshagging

Salem Any crazy symptoms to report?

xxx

Dollydaydream2829 · 28/02/2017 10:27

Aw something - sorry to hear that!
Nanny we started on CD9 and did alternative days from there, so 11, 13, blah... not the typical SMEP plan but fingers crossed it worked for me this cycle!
Thanks for the luck hippy it'd be great if that was the case. I'm not too sure it is thrush? I fully intended to go out and get some stuff for it but last night and this morning I've not been itchy, there's no smell, it's just quite a LOT of CM. Sorry, again, TMI
I can't remember if I was speaking to you ladies about this, but March is the month of my social event extravaganza! I've literally got one or two events on EVERY weekend. Which is very unusual in my life. I have two this weekend coming up but would be due AF on Sunday. I really don't want to drink if I am pregnant so is it acceptable to test on Fri night?! I'd be 11, almost 12 DPO by then????
#stilldesperatetoPOAS

Hippychic79 · 28/02/2017 10:53

Dolly I think 11/12dpo is very acceptable - I'm planning to test around this time this cycle too ... a/because I have a fresh twin pack of frer's in the drawer which has been there 3 months now, b/ because Anna got a positive result on 11dpo and c/ because I'll have poas withdrawal by then 😂

Hello Ladies, loooong time no speak! I was starting to get a little too obsessed with TTC (Is that even possible?!?) and decided to take a break for a few days before DH divorced me Grin

I got my +ve OPK on Thursday morning, so we DTD on Thursday night, and I wanted to do it again Fri & Sat in line with SMEP. But DH wasn't up for it Friday and I went into psycho bitch meltdown. I actually caused an argument with him because we didn't DTD! Anyway we made up and DTD Saturday night, but I'm pretty sure I OV'd Friday afternoon so it was too late by then.

Anyway, I took the weekend off to not obsessively symptom spot/track CM/obsess over this thread and it's definitely helped me to stop and appreciate what I already have. My gorgeous DS who is happy and healthy, and even if we never managed to conceive again, I know that he will always be enough Smile

So I'm back now full of #PMA and I've had a quick look back over the thread, and I have to say that I'm disappointed that we don't have a BFP yet! But tomorrow is March and I just KNOW that this is going to be our month ladies!

CakesALot · 28/02/2017 12:16

I have a question ladies. What is your routine post dtd? Pre TTC I would be doing the naked dash to the loo as I'm not a fan of the gunky feeling (tmi just in time for lunch breaks!) and last time we were TTC I seem to remember lying on my back with my legs in the air a lot. This time,as mentioned before, our prime hour for dtd is between 7pm (DD bedtime) and 8pm (tea time) so it often happens in the lounge so as not to disturb DD. So lying on the carpet, legs up on the sofa?? Cushion under bum??

#cantbelieveimsharingthiswithstrangers #ttcsendsyoubonkers

CakesALot · 28/02/2017 12:22

Love your comment re ds archies. You're so right. Having dd in my life is helping me to take a more relaxed, what will be will be approach this time around. I struggle with the idea that she could be my only one though. I think because I'm so close to my siblings and we're so involved in each other's lives (our dad passed away a year ago and our mum has dementia, were more dependant on each other than ever) and I hate to think DD could end up without all that support. But she has lots of cousins that adore her so she's super lucky.

Anyway, march is my month so there's no need for me to worry!!

Anna2006 · 28/02/2017 12:24

Ha loving the fruit bella. Loving the idea of the photos.

Oh no something gutted about AF!

Who was next on the list to test??

Come on people! Where are the bloomin lines.

2DPO today hippy in the very boring area where nothing happens.

I just normally lay down for a bit cakes no bum in the air. Worked for me first time xxx

Hippychic79 · 28/02/2017 12:50

Welcome back Archies - we have missed you, but totally understand the need to take a step back from MN and TTC obsessing.

I am exactly the same with my DP regarding dtd - if he puts me on a promise, fw or not, i get in a right bitch fit strop if he changes his mind and it doesn't happen, its completely bang out of order! lol

Glad you're back with PMA and those words about your DS are very touching... however you are right... we are very much overdue some BFPs so I'm sure it won't be long before your DS has a sibling.

Cakes DP & I usually DTD between 10-11pm (which is late for me because as you've probably noticed i like to get up early)... anyway to answer your question, post doing the deed I slyly grab a pillow and tilt my pelvis up and quickly try to fall asleep and not think about going for a post sex wee. Like you pre TTC I would always use the bathroom after sex, followed sharply by a shower.... partly for the cleanliness thing but naively partially for contraceptive reasons - which in hindsight was clearly silly :)

Sorry to hear that your dad passed Cakes and that your mum isn't in great health, although it sounds like you have very supportive siblings and I'm sure it won't be long before you're upduffed with a sibling for your DD.

Anna - we haven't even implanted yet at 1 & 2 DPO .... just been watching a video of implantation on youtube .... its so very fascinating... #obsessed

Oh archies welcome back! I'm quite an obsessive personality anyway so I can totally relate when you say you needed a break as sometimes I think I should go cold turkey too! There isn't a couple hours that go by that I'm not either checking mumsnet for new posts or googling symptoms or TTC garbage. It's terrible!!
cakes - I tend to DTD around bedtime so I don't have to get up again. If we do it any other time or place then I try to lay down for 20mins and then just get on with things. I don't know if it helps, but it's worth giving a shot I say! Haha!
I believe it's sarah due to test on 3rd, moo on 4th and me on the 5th?! Let's hope for a very POSITIVE weekend ladies!

sarahboro1 · 28/02/2017 16:05

Argh it's me next!!!!! 😱 Tbh I don't know what cd I am, that's how relaxed I am this tww!!! think I ovulated a couple of days late this cycle so I'm expecting af to be a little later than the third should she turn up. Noticed two symptoms today, got very mild tummy ache and fuller boobs, I can feel them jumping as I walk which is very odd for me as I'm very petite!! Unfortunately as we know they are both af signs but fx!!!

Something so sorry af turned up, but another step closer to your bfp. 💐

Archie /Hippy I'm with you on the dtd strops!! We sound like men!!! In fact I'm still on strike!!! One week and counting - by the time I'm finished he'll regret saying he had a headache last week!! 😂

Cakes I always used to go and pee after dtd because gosh I was clearly gonna get pregnant just by hubby looking at me!! 🙈 Now I don't pee until the next morning!!! Xx
