Thanks for all the positivity lovelies!

Yes I'll crack open my other FRER on Thursday too confused. Symptom wise still have sore boobs (but only on the sides) I've had a weird low level nausea since Friday. This goes away when I eat and can't be preg related as have had it for so many days now. Maybe a general hormone thing? I've also had hot flushing. How are your boobs and bloating now?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/02/2017 11:09

Is AF-like backache normal during ovulation??

Redpony1 · 14/02/2017 11:37

Can't help with that grumpy, i have back ache on vary levels every day Sad But keep DTD!!

HeyJupiter · 14/02/2017 12:09

Oh yes grumpy I get identical back ache during ovulation and AF. I also get ovary pain at both times too!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/02/2017 12:16

Jupiter is it generally just the actual day of ovulation your backache or more than 1 day? I think this OPK kit is unreliable sounds like confused never got a definitive positive with them either ..

HeyJupiter · 14/02/2017 12:48

I get terrible backache, bloating and cramping on the day of ovulation (and maybe evening before) which literally disappears the next day. My EWCM dries up at the same time too.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/02/2017 12:56

Thanks Jupiter my backache has intensified over the last couple of hours & feels like pre AF cramps, I will watch what happens over the next 24h. Definitely will DTD tonight!

I also found this study on OPK sensitivity
babyandbump.momtastic.com/trying-to-conceive/179181-interesting-study-opks-but-not-good-news.html

The Cassanovum ones claim to detect 25mlU and one step 20mlU (so that makes sense confused - one step are more sensitive). Probably too late to order one steps now but I will use them next month if no BFP.

confusedat23 · 14/02/2017 13:57

I'm sorry Grumpy... I feel responsible because I recommended the pack... I got caught up in the packaging! That study is really interesting though! How scary that we rely on these things and they are so misleading!

I still have tender boobs during the day Jupiter They are worse of an evening though! They really ache and shooting pains from 6pm onwards. I have also had lower backache for the last 2 days it is more from my right womb side... but I am again not sure if this even means anything!

I went and stocked up on Wilko tests today... they are 2 for £1 so I can POAS whenever I feel like it now really lol... but I will wait until Thursday to test next =)

Grumpy do you use amazon? I got one step ones next day delivery to an amazon locker at work.

No worries confused I think sometimes more knowledge is more stressful than less knowledge lol! It's good to know that no positive OPK doesn't necessarily mean no ovulation though.

Unfortunately my work takes about 3 days to "process" parcels before you are allowed to pick them up, so I'd be better off delivering to home but then I'd be at work so would get a note.. argh.

Looks like I'll be testing earliest 28 Feb , mrsC what about you?

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 14/02/2017 14:46

I bought those wilkos ones too when I was back in U.K. Confused - although mine were like £1.45 for five (raging I've missed a bargain).

Interesting study results. I wanted to try them mainly to see if Ovia is correct with her assumptions. Will be DTD EOD when actively TTC.

Redpony1 · 14/02/2017 14:50

I am CD6 already, exciting!! Do i start OPK's around CD10? Is that too early?

Exciting that you are testing this month Grumpy!! Interesting reading about the study Smile

Mummyme87 · 14/02/2017 15:08

red I start using OPK about CD9

Redpony1 · 14/02/2017 15:26

Yey!! Even earlier to start POAS madness Grin 3 days & counting Grin

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/02/2017 15:39

How the hell am I going to distract myself for the next 14 days?!!

Will OPK for another few days anyway just to be sure it's not just happening late. Backache slightly less bad now.

Redpony1 · 14/02/2017 15:47

You have us here grumpy!! We can help keep your mind off the 2ww Smile

confusedat23 · 14/02/2017 15:49

The only thing is... as much as that study says CB Dual hormone are the most accurate... its £1 per stick! And i can't afford to keep it up lol

Did you buy the strips Parsnips? I bought the midflow ones... i don't know why but I trust them more =)...

I would say CD10 is a good shout Red

Been quiet over the weekend, lots to catch up on!

So I sold my house on Sunday so now have to attempt to find another one and plan a wedding. Fun times! Also took last pill on Sunday and withdrawal bleed happened straight away on Monday which was fun to wake up too..goodbye nice knickers 😩

A lot of you lovely ladies have said about ovulation cramps - sorry for being thick but I've never suffered with period cramps let alone ovulation cramps so any ideas how I might be able to tell if I'm close to ovulating time?

Can't wait to see some more BFPs off you all! I see a few more people are testing this month which is great news 🤞🏼👏🏼

Mummyme87 · 14/02/2017 16:21

laura I find ovulation pain is in my groins, quite sharp twinge like feeling and tends to last the whole day

CD18 4DPO I am so bloated and gassy 😖 Lots of pelvic twangs and aches which I'm guessing is this gas!

Study day was over at 1pm thank god. Got home and am making a Valentine's Day cake.... wish I never started as keep eating bits of chocolate

buzzmoon · 14/02/2017 16:25

Congrats on selling your house laura! Bet that's a weight off your mind! Finding a house is the fun part! Have you been on lots of viewings?
And finished your pill pack! That's super exciting!!

xlaura · 14/02/2017 16:35

Mummy well god knows sounds like it's all so ever painful for you..maybe I've just been lucky. Whenever friends have been telling me their labour stories and say it's like really strong period pains I'm like 'Yeah no idea what that's like🤔😂' I'm gonna be in for a fun ride aren't I?

Buzz thanks hun. It's stressful, I honestly didn't think it'd sell as we're a new build only been in it 13 months and been in market since November and had 8 cancelled viewings so as usual wasn't optimistic and then it all went wrong on the weekend and I had to delay the original viewing and then 5 mins after she left she made an offer which was only 3k under asking price which I was happy with. Made a nice tidy 31k profit on it so that's nice. Trying to find a nice property now and I'm struggling - I ideally want a 4 bed 2 bath with lots of parking and garden and there's nothing at all so gone for 3 bed (all double rooms) 2 bath and there a few more options. Our region is super expensive and you don't get much for your dosh at all. I've got 5 places I'm viewing on Saturday which will be fun 😂 my buyers want to be in by 1st April so only got 6 weeks to get it all done which sounds ever so quick but we will roll with it 🤞🏼 on the plus side I'm feeling so calm inside now I haven't got that horrible white pill inside me giving me nasty problems haha. Oh said to me 'Oh you can actually be nice to me then..' haha

Mummyme87 · 14/02/2017 16:51

Good luck with the house selling and buying laura we moved in September. Accepted offer on our house in march, had our offer accepted on this house in April.. we only had 4 people including us in the chain. Was just a royal nightmare. Constantly chasing solicitors and estate agents, 4 exchange dates all put back as turned out the top were never ready when they said they would be. Don't want to do that again for a while!!

buzzmoon · 14/02/2017 16:54

Wow that's lucky laura! I hope you find their perfect place, I'm sure you will! Where abouts are you in the world?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 14/02/2017 17:29

Well done Laura just be prepared for it to take a lot longer than 6 weeks even if you find a house straight away (happened to me when we had to move out of our rented place). Your buyers will probably have to wait, but that's normal.

Ideas for taking my mind off the TWW? I might go via boots for a clearblue OPK on the way home as I reeeeeeeally want to confirm ovulation (pretty sure it's already happened today or it's soon..). Fingers crossed DH is in the mood tonight!

buzzmoon · 14/02/2017 17:36

It's valentines grumpy he's got to be in the mood!

Wiggleyfingers · 14/02/2017 17:41

Sorry to hear about the BFNs but like everyone has said it's still early days!

Laura I find I get ovulation pain just behind my hip bone on either or both sides. It can be like a dull ache so maybe you've just been too busy to notice before?

So today I had a 'ground please swallow me up?' moment... Blush halfway through my teaching input, my lovely TA picks up a packet off the floor and waves it at me from across the room.
"What is it?" I ask confused as to why she is looking so shocked at me.
Turns out an OPK packet had fallen out of my handbag and was casually lying on the floor for all to see! Ahhhh kill me now!! There goes my big secret. BlushBlushBlushBlush
