Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Thanks hon that's really helpful. I'm quite apprehensive about the initial - I'm worried about them doing nothing. At least if they get more tests going I will feel like something's happening! How do they do your ovarian reserve test?

Londonjam · 07/02/2017 18:06

Oh skipper lovely, how distressing ☹️ did the docs say it could come early after the HSG? Wish I could give you a big hug 🌷

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 18:12

Argh skipper - is it definitely AF is it spotting? Massive hugs to you xxx

Jam - they tested my ovarian reserve through AMH blood test and follicle count by ultrasound. Mine is low for my age - but specialist reminded me it only takes one, and is only relevant for if I go through IVF as I'll need higher doses of fertility drugs and worth bearing in mind if we want more than one (we want 2).

HepKestrel · 07/02/2017 18:12

skipper so sorry!

kwick · 07/02/2017 18:20

I think mine is at 9am too kathrino I will be on second floor. I will be covertly looking around for you Grin

harriet !!!!!! Well done!! Really hope this one sticks.

I fricking hate baby bombs kathrino
Angry

FFS people can be so loud on punljc transport!!!! Want to deck someone!!! (Note to self: I must reign in these violent tendencies)

Am loving the PMA hep Grin can we see a photo of the feet?

jam it sounds gastric - but I have no medical training so what would I know? Best go see a professional!!
BTW cysts come and go

pyjamas LSFX!!!!

jam ask if you should go on DHEA to improve egg quality

So my periods have been 2 days like Niagra Falls with HUGE pain and discomfort then 1 light day then nada.
In my 20s and 30s they were 5 days long with 3 days heavy.

Welcome quiet!!!

YOU GUYS!!! Remember no cold feet or kidneys during TWW!!!!

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 18:24

And remember remember skipper - it's higher chances for 3 cycles, and even if this one has been thrown out of kilter by the HSG, that doesn't mean the others will be. Mine was thrown off by a long haul flight and was much shorter for one cycle for example, then back to normal for the next one. Really hope you're not out - could it be IB?

SmittenPears · 07/02/2017 18:28

So sorry kathrino, hopeful, and skipper.
Flowers Cake Flowers
and especially Wine

Congratulations, Harriet!! Hope it's a sticky one!

My period is definitely shorter now than it was pre-pill in my early 20s (I'm 32). About 4-5 days instead of 8.

Kathrino · 07/02/2017 18:32

Jam, I absolutely know the feeling. I was lucky in that I hadn't had any tests before so I knew I would come away with something but I fear the result of our next appt will be that we're going to end up in a 'doing nothing' situation for a while at least which will be very frustrating but at least I won't worry so much that we're doing something wrong. The doc did mention a HyCoSy as an option but didn't think that there was anything to suggest that it would do much good for me. Definitely something I want to raise again with her. Pyjamas has explained the ovarian reserve test very well (internal scan, lovely...). From what I've read, there are mixed feelings about its use from a diagnostic perspective but it does give an indication of how long we might have left. If it's a good number, I'm happier to keep trying naturally for a while longer. If it's not, it will speed up any other decisions.

sk1pper I'm so sorry that AF seems to have arrived. It must be so hard for you Flowers. Could maybe the HSG have cleared things so well that the egg moved really fast? Is that even possible? Take care of yourself lovely.

See you on thursday morning kwick ;)

sk1pper · 07/02/2017 18:35

I don't think the HSG should affect a cycle at all, but I haven't been feeling right since ovulation. I've had cramping every day since. Its red spotting but, quite a bit of it and the PMS has hit me like a brick wall...gonna have to take a long, hot bath (sorry Kwick) so I can relax and cry without OH noticing.

Good luck to anyone else up this week and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Whether you're a veteran or a first-timer - it shouldn't be this hard, for anyone.

HepKestrel · 07/02/2017 18:42

Flowers skipper

OK kwick.... You asked for it..... I don't have pretty feet at the best of times. Think there should be some sort of parental advisory on this.......

HepKestrel · 07/02/2017 18:43

........shudder

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 18:47

Relaxing (nearly impossible in this situation) is just the ticket skipper - and if that means an uninhibited weep in the bath, then so be it. I really hope it's not proper AF, but if it is, all is not lost. 💐💐💐

Just saw spotting has made it to liner for the first time (literally just a spot) - shit fuck arse tits and bollocks. No cramping, and otherwise totally symptomless. I was doing so well this TWW! Calm as a goddamn cucumber the whole time, then wham, crazy time.

That's where I'm at kathrino - my reserve results let me know that we can't leave it too long. If nothing happens the next two cycles, we'll go for treatment.

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 18:48

And by calm, I also meant cool as a cucumber. Now imagining a hysterical cucumber.

kwick · 07/02/2017 18:59

kathrino I would be very surprised if CRGH did not recommend some form of action they like to take our money they have very good success rates and you should get good advice. I think you are seeing the head honcho?

sk1pper Flowers enjoy your bath 🛀 Could it be that you got a post hycosy infection?

Ouch hep you POOR thing! Apart from injury there is nothing wrong with your feet!!

pyjamas what a frickerty fcuk!!!

BTW i know it is always preferable to go au naturel but seeing as that was not possible for moi I had to go down treatment route and now I am a fan. SO MUCH is possible these days! So ladies do not despair - intervention is still there!!!

sk1pper · 07/02/2017 18:59

Hep - your poor foot, ouch that looks so painful Flowers

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 19:02

HepKestrel · 07/02/2017 19:06

Lol pyjamas ! That made me chuckle!

Londonjam · 07/02/2017 19:12

Have a good old cry and get it all out skipper you will get through this 🌸🌷🌼

Pyjamas lol you can't even trust the veggies! So sorry if af has got you too lovely.

Kath I'll add that one to my list of questions. It seems from reading around it comes down to the consultant you see - that not all of them approach it in the same way? Which seems confusing. But I suppose everyone has a unique set of circumstances so it's not a one size sits all game I suppose.

Why do Mumsnet have the fairy advert with the baby on these boards? Seriously.

88claire · 07/02/2017 19:42

Pyjamas

So sorry to hear about AF. You made me spit my tea out that pepper pic made me laugh out loud!

Think of this as day 1 of a cycle not the end of one Smile

macsworth · 07/02/2017 19:43

pyjamas 😂 that bitch of a pepper!

And yes jam, I have thought that! Do not put a picture of a baby on the TTC board!

skipper 💐💐 it's not fair, cry all you like, there is no shame in that.

hep that's an impressive injury!

I know I'm a bit late to the party here but we've just started watching Stranger Things. It's so good!!

HepKestrel · 07/02/2017 19:50

Mac just got Netflix, its on my list!

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 20:00

Yep - there I was cooking dinner and feeling sorry for myself, cut through the pepper and had to laugh. A proper FML moment 😂

Mrsbluebell17 · 07/02/2017 20:08

Macs I love stranger things. Season 2 is due this year too. Woooohoooo.

Pjs that pepper!!!!! Hopefully the spotting isn't going to go to AF.

Oh skip!! I really hope it's not AF for you, I was really really hopeful for you this cycle Flowers

I'm still sat here symptom spotting. Sending myself absolutely crazy.

Miranda234 · 07/02/2017 20:13
