I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

pushes Mum03 into a squishy beanbag and forces a large guiness into her hand

I know that in the big scheme of things I am very lucky and that I should be happy, but right now it does not feel that way. How do I get out of this horrible place I am in?

mum03 · 12/03/2007 20:40

Thank you duchesse - how did you know that I am a guiness drinker???

duchesse · 12/03/2007 20:41

Time. and a few B vitamins and omega 3s. Start with the guiness. Get fish or flax oil capsules tomorrow, along with a good B supplement. I promise you will start to feel less overwhelmed with a week.

It feels a bit odd coming to the hut for some tlc, but - good all the same, helps me feel a little better

duchesse · 12/03/2007 20:42

I remember you saying you were more of a beer drinker when you first came into the hut- guiness seems like a good option for a bleeding woman (all that iron)

That last but one message should read within a week.

B vits turn your pee bright yellow.

duchesse - the wee turning yellow comment has just made me giggle, thank you, I really appriciate your help.
You are right, I do need the iron, I am taking a pre-natal multi-vitamin, but I think I am still probrably aneamic (happens regularly to me). And I probrably need to go to bed early tonight and get plenty of sleep. I think the anti-biotic I am taking is knocking me out too. Last one tomorrow so, hopefully I will be out of this pit of despair before the week is out just like you say.
Also wanted to thank you for the comment about speech therapy helping - I will be chasing it all up tomorrow again I think, I can't just leave it as it is, the poor lad is suffering enough.
Thank you again for being a good friend.

heres my contribution to the cause

duchesse · 12/03/2007 20:54

be..e..e..ed Just step away from the keyboard and sink into that duvet. Go on- you know you want to... Good night. And don't get up before you have to.

And don't worry about what happens on here. It doesn't really matter.

Sorry lissie- that banishing to bed was for Mum03. You can stay up as long as you're not tired for school in the morning. Let's open a few of those bottles. I'm supposed to be working (translating a contract- yawn!) , so I may pop in and out.

Hey - lissielou - looks great, the best bit about the getting back to cd1 is the getting back to drinking, if I am not careful I could end up staying here all night with this lot.... ummmmm OK duchesse is right, I will go to bed instead, thanks for the thought though.

Thank you and good night, hope the contract translation goes quickly for you duchesse.

night all...

lissielou · 12/03/2007 21:03

lol, am watching tv too. quick q... started spotting on sat but period started properly today. what is cd1? this is v odd for me

duchesse · 12/03/2007 21:09

This is first period since the ghastly experience of last month, I think? Your undercarriage has undergone severe trauma, and may well misbehave a little. If you start to get pain as well (a lot more than usual) I would suggest you go back to the quack in case you have any scarring barring the way (like d4phne had). It may be that this period just wont be that heavy. As to which day to pick as CD1, erm..sorry, no idea. Today, first day of proper bleeding?

yes, 1st day of real bleeding, but even thats odd. (tmi alert) really dark, thick and dry.

duchesse · 12/03/2007 21:41

Much pain? Are you sure it's a real period, and not your body ridding itself of accumulated gunk and stuff post operation?

OP posts:
duchesse · 12/03/2007 21:45

Just realised I know exactly what sort of bleeding you mean, as its exactly the sort I had for 7 weeks of my doomed pregnancy. In my case, it was due to haemorrhages from the placenta, and the blood seeping out gradually. It could well be post-op bloods working their way out, no? I know that's not what you want to hear when all you want it to be back on track, but menstrual bleeding comes out with an anti-clot substance. Normal bleeding doesn't, so it clots in the uterus and comes out gradually. Maybe a call to the early pregnancy unit or gp might be in order tomorrow morning?

lissielou · 12/03/2007 21:46

i am in pain. my cycle pre-ep was 28d even down to the time of day. the spotting started 30d after the op, and the bleeding started properly on day 32... do you think its my body messing around? im v hormonal too but the blood is simillar to the bleeding i had with the ep

duchesse · 12/03/2007 21:52

Hmmm...dunno. If your uterus feels as though it has a foreign body in it (eg clot) it will usually try to expel it. The pains I had throughout that pregnancy were not like menstrual pains- they were more painful and more wearying than period pain, and woke me in the night a lot.

OP posts:
lissielou · 12/03/2007 21:54

will see what its like in the morning. i feel heavier tho iykwim but my tummy's nowhere near as bloated as during my period pre-ep

lissielou · 12/03/2007 21:55

i remember from my mcs that they felt like contractions

duchesse · 13/03/2007 07:17

Ah, but my body was not trying to eject the foetus- that had to hauled out by erpc. It was just trying to rid itself of the irritating and large blood clots, and failing to do it quickly, hence the constant pain. Every time it managed to get rid of it all, there was a fresh bleed. Ah, happy days. I think I'd even have that back now- at least I was pregnant...

Just found this amazing bit of news on a blog that I've read for three years, and had to share it with you all. This lady has had so much crap happen to her in her quest for a baby that I can't stop smiling about it.

er..not that I'm trying to cheer anyone up.
