Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Your wish is my command angel Grin
Repeat after me:
I am fertile and juicy
My loins are ready to receive the gift of a child
I am grateful for life's blessings
I am ready to receive all the abundance and joy of the universe
I am in perfect time

angelazul · 01/02/2017 17:30

Kwick to the rescue!!! Thanks kwick :) This also helped embracefertility.co.uk/hands-up-who-is-jealous-of-kate-coping-with-jealousy

Lalalalalaa · 01/02/2017 20:19

Honestly I can't stand the moany sad sack that ttc turns me into! I'm normally pretty positive! Giving myself a shake.

Yes to loins being juicy!! Brilliant!

How are you feeling kwick?

kwick · 01/02/2017 20:25

I love that post angel thanks for sharing!

NovaArt3mis · 01/02/2017 20:37

I'm still here la sorry for your bfn.

I've saved that to read later angel

Not massively top of my priority list right now but should I keep taking folic acid if it might be less than three months before we try again?

coribeth · 01/02/2017 21:14

nova I've taken folic acid like forever (im a bit anaemic and it helps) won't do any harm so why not seen as it may do some good! Hope you are feeling a tinsy bit better Flowers

Lalalalalaa · 01/02/2017 21:38

I would nova - I got pg with DS 4 weeks after miscarriage and had just kept going with it. How are you doing?

NovaArt3mis · 02/02/2017 04:28

Sad but alot less sad than a few days ago. Glad I've been signed off work for another week but kind of just wishing it would happen now as I'm quite crampy and bleeding.

Supposed to get my eyebrows waxed today and a close friends wedding on Saturday and I'd really quite like to do both but I'm terrified of leaving the house in case it starts and I don't have time to get home. Wish I'd asked for medical management on Monday instead of being booked in for surgical next week.

NovaArt3mis · 02/02/2017 04:29

Oh yeah and I'm sleeping really well.......

Lalalalalaa · 02/02/2017 06:51

You might find that it starts soon, it's horrible waiting. Mine started once I got confirmation from hospital that pregnancy wasn't progressing, it was like that mental confirmation released it and I'd previously been holding it in. I spent a week on the couch with my cat by my side.

If you do feel comfortable enough to say to someone you trust at work I found that helped as they steered any prying work colleagues away.

Lalalalalaa · 02/02/2017 07:08

Can gp give you help to sleep?

kwick · 02/02/2017 08:05

nova Flowers I cannot believe you have to wait so long for surgery. I had scan with FC on a Tuesday where they told me pregnancy not viable, went to EPU on the Thursday and hospital on the Friday.
Take it easy and take care of yourself.
I agree with la keep up with the vitamins and supplements.

NovaArt3mis · 02/02/2017 08:32

My cat has been rather lovely. Funny how they know when something is wrong.

I've told my two closest colleagues at work, one of them is my line manager so I think that'll help when I go back.

I was really surprised the earliest appointment they had was a whole week later especially as I told them I'd be willing to travel to the other two hospitals in different towns that offer the surgery.

I'm not sleep deprived tbh, just not sleeping at the right times so I can probably get by.

Thanks for all your support, it really means so much.

jellypi3 · 02/02/2017 12:52

Hugs nova

la no idea on the LP because i don't know if/when i am ovulating. I reckon its about 9/10 days though if my assumptions are correct.

SofiePendragon · 02/02/2017 21:43

Hugs nova waiting a whole week sounds so hard. I'd keep going with the supplements, unless they upset your stomach (they do to me) in which case I'd leave off them until you've had you're surgery and recovered and then start again.

SofiePendragon · 02/02/2017 21:57

I'm so sorry if this is insensitive, but I got a bfp this morning! I can't quite believe it's true, especially as I'm only CD24 and got up to CD95 last time!

NovaArt3mis · 02/02/2017 22:03

Shock that's awesome sofie Congratulations!!

Lalalalalaa · 02/02/2017 22:13

Cats are amazing Flowers

jellypi3 · 03/02/2017 06:51

Congrats sophie!! :)

kwick · 03/02/2017 08:01

Yipee sofie what lovely news!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! StarStarStar

Lalalalalaa · 03/02/2017 11:36

Nova checking in - how are you?

Lalalalalaa · 03/02/2017 11:38

So I had a vvvvvv faint bfp last 2 mornings and was hoping/expecting to see stronger line this morning. Instead there was no line and I started spotting.

Bleurgh. Headfuck. :(

kwick · 03/02/2017 13:22

That must be devastating lala Flowers. Sounds like a CP.
