Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

jelly thank you so much for insight on GX - one of the reasons I LOVE this Fred - so much history qnd quirkiness!!!

SofiePendragon · 12/01/2017 14:37

Thanks for the info on gx jelly I had assumed it was originally a typo!

Had my scan - all normal. Just need dh's sample to be tested and then we'll be back to the GP for a referral to the FC.

Does anyobe take any supplements to improve fertility? I was just taking folic acid but started taking seven seas conception vitamins about a month ago. Anyone recommend anything else?

NoHayMasQueHoy · 12/01/2017 15:30

Congratulations kwick and zyla!

Can I join? In the 2ww and driving myself crazy Wink

Trying for dc2, had a MMC summer 2015 (when I was a JSer, namechanged) and stopped ttc for over a year but we've decided we are ready to try again now.

I thought ov'd early, after my withdrawal bleed from coming off the pill at Christmas. Then I had a ton more ewcm on 6dpo, so now I'm either 7dpo or 1dpo and have no idea what is happening Grin

ZylaB · 12/01/2017 17:22

scottish AF due on Sunday so fx this bean sticks!

Will hang around here for a little while if that's ok?

justtheonethen · 12/01/2017 19:46

zyla congrats!

nohay welcome!

sofie I take seven seas, 300mg vit e for lining, 300mg coq-10 for egg quality, 1000iui vit d as it's meant to help overall, vit c 1000mg for antioxidant. I'm not really an advert for prime fertility though 😳

kwick · 12/01/2017 19:51

Bienvenida nohay!!!

sofie I took/take LOADS of fertility boosting supplements - I strongly recommend this book:

Lights twinkle, it's icy cold outside, 'tis the season of Yuletide, come and join us - yes you! For this is JS62!
justtheonethen · 12/01/2017 19:57

I have that book too! I ignore the hippy anti plastic bit Grin

jellypi3 · 12/01/2017 20:37

Hey nohay who were you back in 2015?

NoHayMasQueHoy · 12/01/2017 21:02

Jelly I can't remember but I do remember you getting your bfp

SofiePendragon · 12/01/2017 21:20

Hi NoHay!

Thanks for the tips kwick and just will check out the book Smile

justtheonethen · 12/01/2017 22:06

nohay sorry about your mmc, that must have been awful. I was around here then too. Didn't read your post properly earlier....welcome back! .

sofie it's a good read but to be honest those vits are all I took from it, unless there is a problem then that's all they suggest. Happy to photograph the bits about vits if you want? The plastic bit is just weird and I just can't get on board with. The diet part seems a bit Hmm too as my consultant said that the only things that would affect IVF success was egg quality/ovarian reserve and the drugs they give. He didn't think there was much point in extra vits on top of a TTC one but said they obviously won't hurt and there is some evidence I found that they do have an impact.
Anyhoo, glad scan went well! That's a good step.

Had IVF app, just bloods and scan. Scan showed normal womble. Waiting for blood results but most are ones I've had recently Hmm although had amh which I was considering paying for as it's a good indicator of ovarian reserve. Fingers crossed it's normal. DH had jizz appointment next week then we go together end of Feb.
Things are moving at least!

kwick · 13/01/2017 08:07

just my mum had told me about dangers of plastics - then I read the chapter and thought: WTF?! So anyway what I did over the last couple of months is as follows: no more heating of ready meals in microwave in plastic (seems if plastic gets hot dangers much higher) so I either decant on to crockery or avoid completely. I have also switched most of my cleaning products to Ecover or Method and some of my beauty products to Lush and the like... but I do have a confirned beauty product addiction so what I am very active on there is avoiding the cyclo-silicones - see photo.
I also have organic food as much as possible.
That said many many many ladies get preggers without making all these lifestyle choices - but given I am no spring chicken I wanted to give myself a better chance.

just glad to hear your womble is good Grin keeping my fingers crossed for AMH.

Watched This Morning from yesterday - phone in on miscarriage/still birth. Praying I do not have another MC again.

Lights twinkle, it's icy cold outside, 'tis the season of Yuletide, come and join us - yes you! For this is JS62!
justtheonethen · 13/01/2017 08:18

Yeah I'm not really a ready meal type girl so that's fine, I'm also allergic to everything except super natural stuff so don't really use!

Try not to worry, today you are pregnant CakeBrew

justtheonethen · 13/01/2017 08:23

Snow day . I'm going back to bed!

jellypi3 · 13/01/2017 08:26

CD1 here so a 27 day cycle this month. Going to make a better effort to shag!

ZylaB · 13/01/2017 08:49

just it's good to know things are starting to move along :)

ClaryIsTheBest · 13/01/2017 11:47

Hi, viroids! WWYD or has this ever happened to you?

I'm usually never late and was supposed to get my period yesterday. There are still no cramps, bloodspots... nothing.

But when I peed on a stick it was negative. Am I just late for the first time in years or...? It's a bit confusing. My period is usually a bit like a cuckoo clock (=punctual and obnoxious)...

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 13/01/2017 12:09

Clary, I'd probably test again the next day. I know you're supposed to wait three days but who has the patience for that?

I'm getting ready to take my first ever pregnancy test this weekend. Had a read of the instructions today and didn't know you could piss in a cup instead of directly on the stick.

What does everyone do? I think the cup seems better as I suppose I can time it properly, but I'm open to persuasion

Mrsbluebell17 · 13/01/2017 13:36

Hi nicecuppa. I've got my fingers crossed for you. I have been using a pot, as to me it seems like I have more control over it all including timings like you say. Keep us posted.

justtheonethen · 13/01/2017 13:40

ROC all the way, less potential to poyh (your hand)!

ClaryIsTheBest · 13/01/2017 15:23

nice

Thank you for the advice :)

Good luck, cuppa! Gx:)!!
(the reason behind the gx is actually super cute, if I understood it correctly!) :)

I didn't pee directly on the stick this time or with DD1, I had a... uh (English? Confused) decorative little porcelain pot originally meant for almonds (and no, we never put in any almonds again. That was just a convenient and empty thing standing around at the time).

kwick · 13/01/2017 17:43

Flowers jelly

Best of luck nicecuppa definitely into a cup (then if you have a query you still can retest).

clarys my advice would be test again tomorrow using FMU and a FRER. Best of luck!

ZylaB · 13/01/2017 18:19

ROC all the way! I pee into a hairspray can lid ;)

clarys what kind of test was it? Try again tomorrow or Sunday with a first response early response one (FRER). Or a Superdrug early test. They're red dye tests which are usually more sensitive - they need less of the pregnancy hormone to get a positive.

SofiePendragon · 13/01/2017 19:06

Thanks just and kwick I might stick with the seven seas vits for now. Have been musing about taking agnus castus but need to do a bit more reading about it I think - I'm worried it might mess things up more!

clary gx for testing tomorrow!

Sorry about af jelly

Definite ROC nice less chance of flooding the test that way. I still manage to get my hand though Blush gx for you too!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 14/01/2017 08:17

Cracked and tested today (CD 26) with an early detection clearblue instead of waiting for tomorrow...and got a BFN.
At least I didn't pomh so that's a plus. Now trying to decide if I believe it enough for a glass of wine tonight, or if I should wait for AF to show before I crack a bottle open.

I'm very jealous of your fancy pot Clary, I just used a leftover plastic champagne glass from our NYE party!

Thanks for the positive thoughts all
