Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Fx skip I know a little how you feel about the house. I think of little of why I was down earlier is that when i started planning the knew kitchen I thought I would be pregnant now..

Any way. PMA..... First flashing smiley face on my clear blue opk, so I still appear to be functioning again! Expect ovulation Thursday-saturday.

Unfortunately grumpyoldcat needs to go to vet today as large bare skin area on tail. Hopefully it's just because he has fouñd the building work as stressful as me..

Not been on for a while have been reading .... AF here 5 full days early. Am sick and tired of not being pregnant I feel like I'm loosing who I am.

I had a near positive OPK yesterday  on day 10  this is unheard of for me. In the year we've been trying the earliest I've had a positive OPK is day 14. This is really weird. We only DTD yesterday also, once. DH is now away until Wednesday  if I ovulate tomorrow I don't think it will stand much chance

Well. I temped again today. No real increase just a small one to 36c. Don't think my other issues are really helping me get an accurate temp. Sooooo I think next cycle I'll probably just OPK and keep my fingers crossed.

I'm at the rheumatologist later today so hopefully I might get some answers about my joint problems. The thyroid issue has been pushed back to my doctor so still no appointment at the hospital.

So FF has changed its mind and decided I did ovulate on Friday CD11 now. Although it's still a bit unsure

MrsG I'd say that was pretty clear!! Looks like you defo ovulated on CD11. I think you covered yourself nicely with DTD too. Yay!!

Oh it was a dashed line because I didn't enter any CM... I think it was watery so now its a solid line. Yay! My pre-ov temps seem much higher this month on average compared to last month, wonder why that is. 12 days till testing date... I've got ICs this month though so might be bad and test from around 9/10dpo, oh the temptation!!

I just wanted to say I'm getting another really bizarre symptom where my food tastes weird. Last night I was eating a plain hobnob and it tasted like orange peel/mixed spice and when I ate my cereal this morning it tasted like bacon. If I'm not pregnant then I think I've decided that I'm going mad.

And now I can smell peroxide but no one else can. this is so fucking weird.

Sk1pper - FX for you otherwise I'd be going mad too! I felt really sick and dizzy this morning, so decided to nip to Tesco's (nearest shop) and get a couple of cheapy own brand tests. Sitting at work, crapping myself, waiting for the results and...........nothing. Not even a control line. I'm fuming, and then also remembered I ate a chocolate brownie for breakfast so probably felt sick because of that and wondering where in the hell I left my sanity.

MrsG chart looks promising, and DTD was well timed - defo have my fx for you!

Preg symptoms from ovulation are real my friends!!! I'm excited for you skipper please POAC! (pee on a cheapie). I threw up for the first time the morning after I ovulated and then almost every day after, plus all day nausea. I didn't get crosshairs until late so I thought I was just really ill, pregnancy hadn't even crossed my mind! It was crazy.

Skip no control line? How weird. I want to give you a massive Here's hoping next year we'll all be upduffed and this awful year will be a distant memory

Jam I agree it's better to get a couple in before O. I think your timing will be good even though I know you like to go hard in the FW! Btw, did you ever get DH's SA numbers?

It's honestly very tempting but I don't want to know right now. There's more time to be disappointed if I test now...if that makes sense. Ever the pessimist.

Skip and skipper - I'm right with you in the crazy haze! 10dpo and sore boobs but we know we don't trust them. I'll test on wed FMU (12dpo) if I don't cave already tomorrow because I'm seeing my fertility consultant wed lunchtime so want to know before I see him. Trying not to obsess but spending all my time staring at my chart and reading mumsnet...

Had tiny bit of EWCM but OPK is now negative. Wondering if yesterday was a fluctuation on the lead up to a full positive?

Got lots of niggly and some quite strong ovulation pains, so either yesterday was the surge and I'm ovulating today or it's still on its way...

Jam just wanted to share that I had a random dark (for me) OPK at around CD9/10 when I was just starting my usual run up to O. I was worried it was ovulation but it went light again after and my temps didn't change. No idea what caused it and haven't had it before but thought yours might be a similar thing.

thanks music yes perhaps and hopefully its just a spike whilst its on its way up to the full surge. DH gets home Wednesday morning so we can dtd then, so I hope it holds off! If it has been today then at least we dtd yesterday. God I hope we are covered :( We have been covered for the last 11 cycles and had nothing - I can't cope with not even giving cycle 12 a good shot!! :(
