I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Yay loopy!! Wonderful news Grin

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 06/03/2017 14:28

Going back to meet 2 other people at the firm this week, bodes well.

Now 7+1. That's going to be an awkward conversation when I have to tell them. I wasn't pregnant when I first contacted him.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/03/2017 15:31

Sounds promising about the job loopy and you won't have to tell them yet!
7+1 is fabulous, have you got another scan soon?

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 06/03/2017 15:58

I know but I'm likely to start showing early, being fat and short anyhow! And worried if they have any sort of probationary period.

Next scan 16/3 and midwife the next day. Then contemplating Harmony/Iona test a week and a half later. Then will be onto the dating scan 2 weeks after that. Assuming nothing goes wrong in the meantime..

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/03/2017 13:41

So they have offered me the job, but a bit worried as it has a 6 month probationary period and it means there will be 27 weeks I can work in before mat leave so probationary period is up just as I'd be leaving. Hope they don't try and get rid of me as I would definitely want to go back after mat leave and do this job very long term.

7+5 today, wish scan date would hurry up so I can find out what's going on in there.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/03/2017 06:31

Fab news on the job loopy hopefully once you've proved how great you are at the job they'll want to keep you!
And only a few more days to wait for the next scan.

A spent part of last night sleeping in her crib, first time ever not in bed with us! She was still right next to us and I woke to every murmur but I'm sure it will get better!

Congratulations loopy!

Beedle I sleep soooo lightly it's ridiculous

Imps9 · 12/03/2017 09:42

Ooh congrats on the job Loops!!

Beedles B-B is still in bed with me. I absolutely love bed-sharing with him and am not sure how I'll ever bring myself to put him in a cot!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 15/03/2017 20:14

Am spotting for the third night in the last 8 days. Am dreading tomorrow's scan.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/03/2017 14:36

Sorry to hear about the spotting loopy, I know how scary it is. Have you had the scan yet? Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that it's all OK.

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 16/03/2017 15:12

Scan was all good, I'm definitely 8+4 but measured slightly ahead at 9 weeks, and couldn't find any reason on the scan for the bleeding.

Came home and spotting started again. Wish it would bugger off for good.

Booking in tomorrow with the midwife and then next Thursday have next scan and the Panorama test. After that the next hurdle is the NHS dating scan on 6/4.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/03/2017 15:45

So pleased it was all OK loopy :o :o only another 30 odd weeks of stress left! I think I managed about 4 weeks with minimal stress from about 22 to 26 weeks!

trix how is everything with you?

A was weighed yesterday, she has now doubled her birth weight. She's only just starting to wear 3-6 month clothes so still on the small side but otherwise quite perfect!

keepitgoing · 21/03/2017 10:00

Wonderful news loopy!! Congratulations!

Oh beedle she's cute as a button. I've not had my chubster weighed in a while but he's well into 6-9m clothing. Was supposed to start weaning at the weekend but he was poorly so didn't. He'll be 6 months on sunday. Am bit knackered as he was up every 2 hours last night...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/03/2017 14:30

Was it another scan today loopy? Hope there hasn't been too much spotting.

keep sounds like he's growing nicely. Hope he lets you get a bit more sleep

Had the Panorama test today. Scan was all good, measuring bang on for dates and saw and heard the heartbeat, 180 beats per minute. It was waving at the screen. Took three attempts to get my blood though so I'm a pin cushion again. Going to be a long week until the results come through...

Imps9 · 27/03/2017 20:23

Hello all! And belated Mothers' Day to you all! Hope you all had a lovely day.

So glad all was well at scan Loops. Any results yet?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 29/03/2017 13:27

I wish Imps. I had the bloods taken last Thursday, they would have arrived in America on the Friday and they said 7-10 calendar days from then. So the earliest would be this Friday. Just want to know, feels like time has stopped.

Have NHS dating scan next Thursday, but not sure if should still have it if Panorama results are bad news.

Hope everyone else is doing well, how is your new baby trix?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 31/03/2017 17:17

Had my Panorama results today. Came back as low risk for everything and it's a little girl!! After two boys I am very much in shock, but very very happy indeed as really hoped for a girl even though I didn't expect it to be one!! Dating scan is next Thursday so if that goes well then I might start to believe we could be having a baby!

Imps9 · 31/03/2017 19:57

Yaaaaaay Loops!! Congratulations lovely. After all the losses and heartbreak this is very very very well-deserved news. Flowers

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 01/04/2017 22:19

Thanks Imps, I'm just praying nothing goes wrong, it feels like we have more at stake now, now we know it's a healthy baby girl in there. I've always had a sort of way of coping by feeling when you lose one it's ok because it's nature and something was probably wrong (until I discovered my high NK's but I've not had a loss since then as this is my first BFP on treatment) but knowing that the baby is low risk makes the stakes seem higher and more real somehow? Not sure if I'm making any sense...

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 01/04/2017 22:23

Kind of like in the past I'd not let myself believe those babies would ever last, but now we know this one is healthy, and that it might be real, we now have something real that we could end up losing, compared to it being different if you lose something that was never going to happen anyhow...you can't lose something you never had whereas it feels like we could have this one, having a
Midwife discussing place of birth, DH starting to discuss possible names, just makes me feel this is something that is real but could still be ripped away, I need to sort my head out somehow

Imps9 · 02/04/2017 08:23

I totally get you Loops. Totally. We were the same. It took until about 35 weeks for me to be able to discuss the baby irl without prefacing the discussion "if all goes well...".

BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/04/2017 08:52

Fabulous news loopy and good luck with the scan today.

I totally get the not allowing yourself to get excited. I don't think I allowed myself to believe we would actually be parents until I heard her cry as they pulled her out. We'll get excited for you in the meantime. [Flowers]

The comments about having another baby have started, she's not even 6 months yet Hmm

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 07/04/2017 06:12

Scan yesterday went well, measured bang on dates so think our risk of MC now must be tiny. Told the boys last night, our eldest was ridiculously excited and went straight into protective mother hen mode. Started telling his brother how important it is not to hurt my tummy and that I need to make sure I don't bump into any sharp edges and how to be gentle when holding a baby as they are delicate and can die if dropped!! Youngest just wanted to know when he can have a baby brother.. if this one works out, never lol!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 30/04/2017 19:59

Think I've killed this thread!

All well here, am 15 weeks today, came off the steroids on Monday and am just praying that everything is ok in there.

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the bank holiday weekend!
