Welcome back amy, missed you!

Glad to see natural AF has appeared and you can get cracking with another round of clomid. Fingers crossed for you!

It is nice to not have the pressure on at the minute and we get to enjoy our birthdays and Christmas before panicking about the 2ww!

danigrace · 04/11/2016 09:46

Boggle ooh when's your birthday? I'm 29 too, 30 in Feb Grin my other half was 30 this summer and he was saying it really does feel different mentally! It sounds like you've got lots of festivities ahead, wishing you oodles of fun Flowers

Heyyy Amy nice to hear from you. That's so fantastic about your period!! Fingers crossed for you for this cycle! So have you done much Christmas shopping?

Summer that's really good you're feeling better about things and your prolactin is okay! When's your next scan?

Well I'm 3dpo and it mentally feels likevat least 7 or 8 LOL
Next fertility appt where I'm due to be given clomid for the dirst time is 15 Nov - we go to a little hospital 30 min away and had a lunchtime appt but just had a letter through changing it to 9.10am [gasp] so that drive will be interesting... lol

AmyC86 · 04/11/2016 10:39

Not really done much shopping really, just getting caught up in the planning xx I have done some Christmas food preparation. Made a Christmas cake and Christmas pudding the other day x I'm hosting this year. Up to now I have 8 confirmed one definitely maybe and a possibility of 5 more who are humbugs & said that they'd let me know nearer the time (as it was only October when I asked). I love cooking and hosting it's one of my favourite hobbies xx so I'm really looking forward to it xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/11/2016 10:42

DH's birthday is 16th and he'll be 31 and my birthday is 20th and I'll be 29. Then got my DSIL and DSis and DNieces all before Christmas HmmHmm

AmyC86 · 04/11/2016 21:55

Busy time for you then Boggle!!! And I thought I'd been badly done to by having both mums in October. We do have a niece in December but we just buy two Xmas gifts and decide nearer the time which one to keep to one side x

AmyC86 · 04/11/2016 22:04

In other news, bit pissed off as I went to the pharmacy today for my clomid (which I'll start tonight) & the prescription didn't specify how many cycles worth (the gynaecologist said that she'd give me 3 cycles worth. I've ended up with 1 months worth Hmm so if this cycle doesn't work I'll have to request a new prescription. Also rang for a date for the scan & the receptionist said that she'd get back to me, guess what? She didn't Sad sometimes I just think that the NHS is so poorly run

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/11/2016 17:47

Bah amy that's SO annoying!! I really hope this is the one so now more clomid is needed!!

Evening ladies. Argh the Christmas countdown officially begins now that bonfire night is all done and dusted! Not quite sure I'm ready for the madness just yet though!!

So my ultrasound and referral appointment letters have come through and I'm really shocked at how soon I'm going to be seen! Hospital gyno appointment is the 16th and ultrasound is 28th. I wasn't sure whether to cancel my gyno appointment until after the ultrasound - what do you think?

I'm slightly worried about the ultrasound - at what it will reveal and generally having it done!
Also I googled ways to help my DH increase his sperm count but he's not too keen to make changes at the moment!! I might have to start sneaking vitamin c and zinc in his porridge Wink !
X

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/11/2016 18:18

I promise you, the scan isn't anything to worry about. It doesn't hurt and it's something very routine. Don't tense up and it'll be absolutely fine. Fingers crossed it goes well and I'm pleased it's moving quickly for you.

Rang the consultants secretaryso this morning, internal ultrasound is due on the 17th November!!!

Anyone got any tips for me?!?!

NeverGoOutOfStyle · 07/11/2016 16:56

OPKs are driving me insane. After a short cycle last month I decided to be more diligent this month and they're always negative, barely a hint of a second line and now I'm worrying I'm not ovulating at all.

danigrace · 07/11/2016 16:58

Amy - it certainly sounds like your and family are lucky to have you! Ugh sorry to hear about your prescription. I take the scan is to check for mature follicles??

Boggle gosh that's a lot of pre xmas birthdays!! Are you managing to chill this month?

Elly I second what Boggle said, it's absolutely fine. I'd keep both appts as my first was like fact-find, asking dh & I lots of questions, going over what tests have been done already and ordering more etc. So it seems it fits quite well.

Well I'm 6 or 7 dpo today and had a tiny bit stabbing pain on one side that I'm telling myself may possibly be implantation...

danigrace · 07/11/2016 17:00

Never I've had months like that. What type of tests are you using and at what time of day? What cycle day are you?

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/11/2016 17:57

What tips are you wanting amy? I find wearing jazzy socks makes me feel better GrinGrin

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 07/11/2016 17:58

Yes, defo liking the less pressure. We had really good spontaneous sex the other day for the first time in so long. It was so nice for it not be like "dear, my follicles are ready, let's go"

danigrace They're just internet cheapies, One Step I think is the brand. At the moment I am aiming for 2pm everyday but I've had to test as late as 4pm/5pm some days. CD15 today, wasn't going to start testing until around CD20 since my cycles are normally about 48 days long, give or take a few but last month was 29 days so figured best start earlier as towards the end of last month I had a few that looked quite promising, then AF arrived.

Trying to get the hang of BBT this month as well but it's not going so well, I wake up at such varied times and often forget to reach for the damn thing straight away haha.

AmyC86 · 07/11/2016 19:00

Well some pexpletives say wearing a skirt is easier lol but tbh, until this season skarts weren't in fashion so I don't own any 😂

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/11/2016 19:12

They give you a sheet to cover your modesty anyway so I can't say a skirt will make much difference haha!

satsooma · 08/11/2016 15:25

Hi Amy none of this is necessary, but since you asked. For scans, I always wear leggings, a skirt and cosy socks. That way I just have to take off my leggings and pants. Also, if you are sure it will be an internal scan, go for a wee as soon as you get to the clinic, it helps them see more clearly if your bladder is empty.

Following the advice I got from my GP about smear tests, I also take a panty liner in case of a little bleeding, or discharge afterwards. I also take painkillers 30 mins before (2 paracetomol and 2 ibuprofen), which just makes the whole thing a more comfortable. But I don't want to scare you with those last two points, most people find the scan doesn't hurt at all.

danigrace · 08/11/2016 15:32

Boggle that's really good you're feeling more chilled

AmyC86 · 10/11/2016 23:57

My appointment has stated that if you're having a scan to have a full bladder- do you think that I'll have both internal and external scans then?!?!

Elly1685 · 11/11/2016 07:11

Hi Amy,

Me letter says to have a full bladder too as they will do an external scan first but if they can't see what they need they will do an internal - so maybe yours is the same? X

danigrace · 11/11/2016 09:17

Confused ??

Pcos, periods (or lack of!) and a lovely bunch of ladies
