They all have lines on now. I just think they're evaps amy. Perhaps I'll leave it a few more days and try again. This is so hard Sad

AmyC86 · 14/08/2016 23:15

I've done loads of poas & never had evap lines like that, leave it a few days & test again xxx

YouBoggleMyMind · 15/08/2016 08:29

Thanks amy. I'm going to leave it for now. Do one at the end of the week and go from there. At least I can start provera then.
How are you getting on with your weight loss? I'm hoping for another loss on Wednesday at weight watchers xxx

Big hugs Boggle, that's so hard!! How did you get on with your Tesco ones?

Well FF just confirmed ov on the 12th!!! 1st ov since I came off my pill in Oct (had a couple of no ov irregular cycles then no cycle at all). I'm sooo pleased I didn't listen too hard to the doc & had a go at what mother nature has to offer me bc although it was bloody hard to begin with it certainly seems to be paying off. I go back on 23 Aug to fertility specialist, the plan for this next appt I was told was to get provera and test results which he said will determine whether he gives me clomid or sends me straight for ivf - but considering the model cycle I'm currently having I suspect things might go differently. Part if me is worried that maybe I have an illness I don't know about that's upping my temps and they'll come crashing down tomorrow or something(!) but overall I just feel so happy & grateful

YouBoggleMyMind · 15/08/2016 09:48

I did a tesco one yesterday but in the middle of the day so it didn't come up with anything but I expected that as the others have been SO faint with fmu. I'm going to leave it a few days and try again. I expect I'm just looking into it too much and it's negative and I can start provera. I just want closure.
Attached a photo of the tesco one for fun Smile

Glad things are looking positive for you dani, that's really great. Sometimes mother nature is best!

Ugh so sorry you're on this rollercoaster Boggle how are you today? & thank you Smile
& how's everyone else?

Someone asked on another thread what I'd been doing & I thought I'd paste it here too incase it helps any lurkers or future-readers reading back tip spotting as I did in the past!!

So diet-wise a protein-heavy rather than carb-heavy diet, no added sugars /artificial sweeteners/ additives / processed foods / alcohol / gluten / only live organic yoghurt as dairy / only odd green tea as caffeine. Supplement/extras-wise I've been having a protein shake each morning (natural stevia sweetened whey isolate) & add 1tsp inositol [great for insulin issues that studies show may be a leading factor in pcos]; 1tsp maca root powder [studies show boosts circulation & good for pcos]; 1tbsp freshly ground flaxseed [again been shown to help with pcos - stopped this one after ov]; and I throw a fistful of organic leafy greens in there. Also take Pregnacare conception; a good quality fish oil; calcium supp; high dose vit d3 supp; a herbal tincture prescription that includes agnus castus (stopped after ov); tribulus tincture days 5-14 of cycle [small studies have shown it can reduce ovarian cysts and boost chances of ov in up to 2/3 of pcos women, animal studies also v. successful]; also evening primrose oil 3 times a day from cd1 - cd14 to increase ewcm. Also been doing yoga most days in my living room before we start work or after work as well as going for a 30 min - 1hr walk with DH on our lunch break & daily fertility self-massage with geranium or clary sage oil (stopped after ov). Adding a high dose vit B6 for the luteal phase.
Don't think I've left anything out (opps yes I did - magnesium! Which I use in oil format sprayed on skin for better absorption), apologies for the essay!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 09:15

Morning dani. I'm ok. Trying not to think about it. I don't think it's positive but going to give it another whirl tomorrow morning and make a decision. I want to start provera.

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2016 10:43

Morning everyone! Sorry I have been out of the loop - I finished my provera and so was just bleeding. And waiting. Urgh. And ended up getting an insect bite that strangely i took an allergic reaction to and had to get antibiotics for, so those wiped me out a bit. Fun!!!

Boggle - Wow. That is a frustrating couple of days!!! I know the digi tests are very pricey but I do think they are worth it to get a definite "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" instead of a line. When I got pg with DS2 it was exactly the same - a very faint line I was pretty sure was just a water mark but DH was sure he could see it. And then a few days of maybe it's a line / maybe not. And eventually a digi test that said yes. And then about a week later - sick, sore boobs, bad back, tired etc. Keeping everything crossed for you!

dani - We are doing paleo 5 days on / 2 days off, but I've tried to be sensible-ish on the 2 days off. But a bit less sensible this weekend, so I put 2lbs back on. RAGE! But back on the wagon again yday so hopefully keep heading downwards. DS2 has his third bday on Thursday though so there will definitely be cake and pizza Blush

Hope everyone is doing well and getting some nice sunshine today!!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 11:12

I've heard that digi's aren't always reliable. Like, you'll get a line on a FRER, but not pregnant on a digi. But I can't say I've ever used a digi test. The price is off putting xxx

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 11:30

I was going to test again tomorrow and then just start provera. I now don't know whether to wait a bit longer?

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2016 12:07

Boggle - One of my really good friends is an Obs & Gynae dr and she told me to be careful to use contraception when you are on provera and if you think you are pregnant immediately stop taking it because it thins out the lining of the womb. So if you think you might be pregnant I wouldn't start taking it just yet to be on the safe side. I only used a digi twice - once told me I was not pg. Which was true. Second time was when I was pg and it told me I was pg which was true. And it was very early days. So I doubt that's very helpful but just my experience with them! I hate looking at lines Confused Oh I really hope this is BFP for you....

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 12:17

Thank you snow. I think I'm going to buy a digi at lunch. Lol. I'm going to pee on 3 different tests tomorrow morning. And go from there. Xxx

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 13:15

Right. 3rd type of test bought Grin

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2016 13:30

Agh good luck boggle - hopefully a definitive answer one way or the other! If it is very very early days to be testing and you want to make FMU super concentrated, hold it until you have a cup of coffee or a bag of crisps (or both!) lol in the morning - salt / caffeine both make your wee more concentrated and therefore you are more likely to get a more definitive yes / no answer. As you may have guessed, I am a total POAS junkie! Have to start stocking the bathroom cupboard now I'm finally on first proper cycle since coming off pill in December 2015 Hmm

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 13:35

Well I'm only going by the previous 2 cycles I've had (using clomid) and they were both 27 and 28 day cycles. Today is cycle day 33 in a metformin only cycle and AF hasn't turned up. However it's more than likely to be that my body has just gone back to how it was pre clomid and I'm not pregnant. Either way, tomorrow I'll know for sure xxx

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2016 13:46

PCOS is so crap for never knowing exactly when AF should be due, so never being sure if it's late. But CD 33 with no AF is hopefully a very good sign. Try and keep your mind off it - somehow - until tomorrow. Good luck!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 14:07

Well, if there negative I can move on to taking provera and a new cycle of clomid. Xxx

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 14:12

Obviously all I want is for it to be positive. But it's not likely to be so am concentrating on my next cycle. Xxx

OP posts:
danigrace · 16/08/2016 19:57

Boggle fingers crossed for you. But as you say even if neg you're ready to move on to your next cycle so no hanging around. I really hope it's positive though!

Snow you do so well with that - I find it so much harder that way, the on/off always ends up blurring into just on when I've tried it that way in the past lol. Plus the cravings are all still there which I found extra hard.
Sorry to hear you've not been so well, that sounds rough. Are you feeling better now?

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/08/2016 20:18

Yeah, at least I can move on and get going straight away. It'll be negative so I'm all prepared for my provera! Xxx

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 17/08/2016 08:01

Any news boggle?

dani - I do agree that ideally I wouldn't take days "off" but we see DH's family for dinner on Saturday evenings and my mum usually does a Sunday roast Blush South we are very spoiled! But I try and still be sensible, have a paleo breakfast / lunch, skip potatoes or bread with dinner, no biscuits afterwards with tea - biscuits with tea are basically mandatory in Ireland so the struggle is real! Feeling OK again today, antibiotics made me feel a bit bloated though so I hope that will wear off soon. Taking DS2 out to swimming pool with water slides etc for his bday tomorrow - interested to see if I will notice the 9lbs i'very lost when I'm in a swimsuit!!! Hmm

YouBoggleMyMind · 17/08/2016 08:13

As I suspected.

Have started provera this morning. We move on.

Pcos, periods (or lack of!) and a lovely bunch of ladies

boggle - onwards and upwards xx

danigrace · 17/08/2016 10:07

Ugh so sorry Boggle Flowers What a way to mess with your head... Fingers crossed for this next cycle. How long does Provera usually take to induce a bleed?

Snow tbf in my book that sounds like you are always good!! (but I'm not paleo) I do have potatoes sometimes aswell - usually a small amount one a week on my Sunday roast too Grin but I don't have bread bc my belly doesn't like it. And through the week we just have other veggies where potatoes once were. For instance last night we had burgers (free range grass fed), no bread, just 2 burgers topped with horseradish, a load of griddled onions, sliced tomatoes, & fresh baby spinach; and a side of spiced griddled courgettes - all salad/veggies from the organic box. I actually enjoyed all that much more than bread and potatoes, but esp. being a northern girl bread and potatoes had always been my easy go to in the past! And you sound so strong around your family, I don't think I could have one biscuit, in the past it always led to 10... Blush

YouBoggleMyMind · 17/08/2016 10:16

It's ok. I think I always knew deep down I wasn't pregnant. No other symptoms and a questionable faint line.

I'll take provera for 7 days and wait another. 7-10 days for AF to appear. Will start clomid in September I would have thought. Luckily I've got a week off next week and we're staying in a little cottage in west wales. Need a break to escape xxx
