AF due 20th July / 5DPO - Who Wants to Test With Me??

Hello!

Some of these threads are HUGE and I'm feeling a bit lost, so I'd thought I'd make a new one for anyone who is due their AF Wednesday 20th July (or thereabouts!) and are 4/5 DPO.

Symptoms so far
1-3DPO - Nothing
4DPO - sore boobs and lots of clear CM (sorry!)
5DPO - very sore lower back right in the middle, sore bbs + AF style cramps

A little about me... I've suffered x2 miscarriages over the years, one at 6 weeks and the other at 10 weeks (had a D&C). Horrible experience but hoping for a sticky bean this time! So technically I'm trying for my 1st.

Would love to know a bit about you as well and hope we can test together - and try to keep sane while waiting! Good luck everyone

Nightmare, they're so expensive for it to be getting it wrong as well. I think I might dual with IC's next month and if I get the hang of them drop the clear blue. I do like them but just feel ripped off 😊

Do you guys recommend opks? I don't want to feel like I gotta have sex or else... but also I'm dying for a baby. Ykwim?

olguitha I like OPKs because I'm a control freak after getting the implant out I didn't feel like I knew what my cycle was doing. In theory they should help although I often feel more confused!! But I've obviously just had bad luck with the Clearblue ones.

Olguitha, I've stopped using them as I've never had a true positive result (just faint lines) even the cycle I conceived DD. I'm guessing I have a short surge or something, and don't want to go down the rabbit hole of testing multiple times a day!

There was a sixth flashing smiley but today got a static which is a relief to think at least I might ovulate. CD 18 today so might not ovulate if at all until CD19 which feels really late. Don't know if this would affect implantation chances? I still don't feel like I'm in the 2ww where as I would normally be counting days by now. Anyone else in 2ww yet?

Yey for the static swimming make sure you DTD as soon as you can. I usually ovulate between cd18-20 then have around a 12 day LP and from what I've read that's fine. Just means your cycle this month may go upto CD30-32? I'm CD15 today so time to start the DTD marathon!
Olguitha I just use the cheap Amazon OPKs (think I got 30 for about £3). I like them as they've helped me to know when I'm ovulating and it just reassures me that I have a LH surge. I've read mixed things about them, that they don't work for some, but I've had a clear positive each month I've used them.

Thanks Poppy, that makes me feel better, will be really interested to see my cycle length this month.... Unless of course I get a BFP!!!

I ended up buying some more CB OPKs (the ones that aren't dual hormone). So far two blank faces and no lines on the ICs. Hoping to start seeing something tomorrow (CD13) or Friday

I don't think I'm quite in the tww yet. CD16 but still no positive ov test. I've either missed it or it'll happen very soon or not at all but I'm trying not to panic about that yet ! Just trying to dtd as much as possible! DH is now complaining he has a cold but hopefully I'll manage to convince him into a quickie tonight

I'm CD19 and not had a positive OPK yet either. It looked like it was getting darker yesterday so should hopefully happen today. Fx for a positive OPK for you soon Purple How are you getting on Olguitha and Swimming?

So FF and dual test say I ovulated on cd19 and temps have stayed up, all be it sometimes only 0.1 degrees but I'm working on the premise I have ovulated and am now 3 DPO. What I think I'm becoming clear on is any pre implantation 'early symptoms' I was getting, which were almost identical every month is the effect of the progesterone rise on me which I will get every month whether there's conception or not. So I'm trying not to symptom spot until at least there could have been implantation. What will be different this month having the temp chart is I should see if the temps drop off, which creates a whole another load of something for me to fret about!!! 😊xx

Fx for you swimming how have you found the temping?

Really hope we both get a positive OPK soon poppy. Are you using ICs? Are they getting darker at all? Mine have stayed very faint since I started using them days ago...

Thanks purple. I've found temping really easy apart from the thermometer beeping and waking DP up! I know when I have a drink the next morning it was high so I've discarded those temps but can still see a pattern Vaguely like what you'd expect. I use FF on phone so literally enter it straight away. What's nice his week is not POAS, I'm usually either OPKing or testing!

I used an OPK this morning and it was very faint again. Going to test again when I get home. I ordered some new cheapie ones from Amazon and they are slightly different to the last batch I had so don't know if they might not be as sensitive (or just a bit crap!) I'm thinking I'm just still going to DTD every other day for a few more days to try to make sure we are covered. Do you have any idea when you would usually ovulate purple? I'm hoping I ovulate today or else it means my cycles could be getting longer.

Tbh poppy I am totally confused by my cycles! Since having the implant removed they've been 28 days long so I assumed I was ovulating around CD14 but this is CD16 & nothing. Then there's the added confusion with the CB dual hormone tests giving me a peak on CD9/10! I'm 90% sure there's something wrong with that device though (have sent it off for testing - not sure when I'll get results!). So...I've no idea when I normally ovulate!

I do think I'll start temping next month if I don't get a BFP. It's the only way to confirm I'm actually ovulating which is now worrying me...

This is my most recent test - just did it half an hour ago. So faint! It's possibly marginally darker than previous ones but only a tiny bit

I've been using the CB ovulation ( not dual hormone) tests as well but no smiley which isn't surprising given how faint the IC lines are...

Ive read about lots of people who never got a positive on OPKs but still conceived so I'm trying not to overthink it all too much. I know what you mean though, we'd probably be so much calmer if we knew we were definitely ovulating and had an idea of when. It's all the guessing and chance that drives you a bit crazy. Just done another OPK and it's darker than this morning but still not positive. So I'll test again around 7-8 tonight.

I think if i were you, I'd just keep checking a few times a day every day. My positives don't normally happen until around cd19 and my cycles are usually around 31 days. Then next month you could try temping?

Ha! I've read lots of stories of people never getting a positive opk & still getting a BFP too! Clinging onto that hope!

Yours looks quite dark! Not yet positive but it's looking like you might be approaching your surge. Fx for you! It's still entirely possible that I could ov in the next few days with a 28 day cycle so I'll keep testing & hopefully the lines will get darker...
