Hi all, sorry I've been a bit absent. I'm 8dpo and contemplating testing with an ic tomorrow. (No more frer I can't stand the heart break)

Busta we have a new puppy!a little Springer called Charlie he's ace.

Kate, I ov anywhere between CD 14 and 19 so don't give up hope.

Sorry Tee about the snake back to square one.

Jem, I don't know about you but I keep seeing pregnant women everywhere! Are there so many now or did I just not notice before.

Gonna post this now before I lose it like last time.

Nimisha · 07/09/2016 14:54

Cross post tee, I hope you are OK, my thoughts are if your symptoms haven't changed, just persisting heavy bleeding then wait until your fav Gp, you need someone who will deal with you sensitively, if things are different this month and you are worried or you feel unwell, see someone sooner. Feel free to ignore me though and do what you think is right. Big hugs Flowers

Foot are you back on the clomid this cycle? Good luck.

Good to hear from you Parney, could be a Christmas baby or into January proper. My two were late but my friend was a month early.

LondonJem · 07/09/2016 15:33

Tee depends on how bad the clots are. Personally I don't think I'd want to wait until the 20th.

Hello nim your pup sounds very cute! Good luck testing tomorrow, it's very early but I guess you never know.

Tee4me · 07/09/2016 15:42

Thanks Nimi, no, symptoms aren't massively different to what they've been for the last 6 months, but it's the first time it's properly dawned on me that it could be a sign of something more worrying that's preventing me falling, as opposed to a side effect of the MC. My gut instinct is to wait for nice Doctor. Think I want to insist on a scan and bloods!
Agree less heartache involved in using ICs! Think you should go for it and bring us a BFP ASAP! x

Tee4me · 07/09/2016 16:18

I think they are bad Jem, some up to 2 inches I'd say. I can actually feel them passing. The only thing reassuring me is that there are no other particularly worrying symptoms (bleeding at irregular times, especially long/short cycles). Everything else seems to be happening like clockwork. Appointment is actually 26th not 20th! I'm seeing my Acupuncturist Monday, so I'll run it past him too. Hope the 2ww doesn't drag for you!! x

Cycle 5 (yet to find out if BFP or BFN)
Not much to report otherwise but have a dilemma!

In November 2014 got polyps removed and the same time discovered my left tube is closed/blocked which was a bit of a shock. Had some checks done in March 2015 and not sure how and why but thought the tube was open. I'm not from here and all of the above was done in IVF Riga clinic.
Anyway, we've started TTC in April but no BFP yet. I told the same clinic I'd try IUI after 6 cycles,so they took DH's sperm and stored in the freezer and gave me an equivalent of Clomid. As I always knew I'd get it done over there, I'd then start taking the drug on CD5 here and then fly over. But here's my question, do you think I should try Clomid and natural intercourse or straight to IUI with Clomid? I read all morning today and can't work it out what to do! I'll still take the drug on cd5 as they told me and then fly to check my tubes again and at the same time they can do ultrasound on cd 10-11 to see how I respond to the drug. But then what? Shall fly home for natural dtd or stay for IUI?! I can do this trip while still unemployed. And can afford being off of work for a while. And it's so much cheaper in Riga! Would like to hear your thoughts as breaking my brains here and can't figure it out by myself! And is anyone have any experience with Clomid or similar? And what would you do!? I'm 40 and don't want to keep trying for 12 months before seeing a specialist. Big sigh

LondonJem · 07/09/2016 17:11

Russ sorry I don't know enough about this advise, perhaps post a new thread in conception?

Tee good idea to mention to the acupuncturist. Can you ask your clinic for cancellations with your GP?

DH is having a very low day today Sad lots of regret and apologies about waiting too long to try and letting me down. I think it's finally dawning on him how difficult this is. And his friend having a baby yesterday is actually getting to him more than me. I'm reassuring him but I also can't deny that I would have started trying much sooner! We really need this to happen soon Sad

Russkispy · 07/09/2016 17:17

Thanks Jem,
Some men just don't get it!
It might be difficult but better not to regret and move forward and do and try our best in making this happen soon!

Tee4me · 07/09/2016 17:30

Russ I'm sorry, same as Jem, a lot of that went over my head, so not sure I could contribute a valuable opinion. Hope you find someone who can offer some decent insight!
Jem I would hate to take any satisfaction from your DHs misery, but can only take positive from him having this reality check. It should make him more committed if/when you try next cycle (fingers crossed not necessary!), but also when it comes to number 2! We fell very easily with my DS, so my DH was complacent about round 2, whereas I had friends who's 2nd wasn't as easy to conceive. DH stalled me for a year before giving in, and now we are nearly another year further along, DS will be 2 years older than I would have liked. Think I've said before, but I think I won't bother going back on birth control and let fate decide on a 3rd! x

LondonJem · 07/09/2016 19:44

God such a good point about number two, hadn't thought of that! So fixated on getting one sodding bfp.

Had third acupuncture session just now. I find it deeply relaxing and drift off, which is quite surprising considering I go straight from work to him. Can't really notice much of a difference beyond this! But not sure if you are meant to?

physicskate · 07/09/2016 20:02

Only a hint of a line on OPK, when I have previously had several days of progressively darker lines, so I can't help but think ov is still quite a few days away... UGH!!

Work knackering but I'd forgotten how rewarding it can be!

Tee I remember I did acupuncture once at least a decade ago and they asked about clots (which I used to get a lot) so I would def mention it!!

Russ I think you could just do what you prefer - I would prefer less intervention but if you feel that isn't right for you, go for the IUI!!

Footy1 · 07/09/2016 22:00

Russ- I'm on clomid and interestingly was told to take only from day 2. I personally would try clomid and natural first before iui. I think both are equal on the stats. Most clinics over here will advise to do that first as they will see how you are reacting to clomid first. I don't know much about iui, but I do know there's a thread on here with that title which may offer you more advice. What I would say is that I think they would only prescribe clomid with both tubes open (I had to have scan to check), as it could cause over stimulation and an egg to get stuck which may cause an ectopic preg. ?? But that's just what I thought, I could b wrong. Check it out on the clomid/iui thread?

Footy1 · 07/09/2016 22:08

Cd2Star

Teedo u think there's a chance the clots could b related to aspirin? I used to take asprin for pain last year as was taking anti inflammatories too and I had horrendous clots! Same description. Tmi .. But was stringy/dark black/red etc.. Gp told me to quit the asprin and bingo they stopped.
Asprin can cause heavy bleeding too. Do u bruise easily?

Sorry ladies, had to do a quick read.. Shattered! Will catch up with u all tomorrow.

Russkispy · 07/09/2016 22:36

Thanks footy. Well, I've decided on my trip to Riga, will have a chat, checks, scans and take the drug and decide it all after ultrasound which will show how I'll react to the drug.
I posted on that thread but nobody replied so far.

Tee4me · 07/09/2016 22:40

Thanks Footy, you could be right. To be honest I went back on aspirin because I thought it would help with the clots! Isn't it supposed to thin out thick sticky blood which is why they thought it useful when TTC esp. after MC?! But you're right, on the other hand if you bleed more heavily, that can cause clotting too! TBH I'd rather the latter, don't mind if clots are just down to a high flow of blood, was just starting to worry about something more worrying (obstruction in my tubes or something!)
It's calmed down now. I just had about 6 or 7 hours today where I'd feel one pass at least once an hour and have to run to the loo (they can't be absorbed by pads or tampons)
Kate hope the peak sneaks up quicker than you expect. I've had the odd cycle where there was less build up and suddenly got a lovely dark test line!

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 08:17

It really annoys me too kate when I ovulate late Envy hope it's not too much longer

I thought the same about aspirin and thinning blood tee, are you taking anything else?

I'm 7 DPO and so over the TWW already. No symptoms or signs, just usual PMS - moody, weepy, sore boobs, not sleeping well etc. Good old progesterone is doing her job!

Tee4me · 08/09/2016 08:38

I'm only on low dose aspirin and folic acid. Was thinking about introducing a 'conception' supplement, maybe next month. DH has been put on Wellman!
7dpo already! Not too long to wait now, hope you have lots of distractions planned over the weekend. Have you got any more acupuncture booked before next cycle is due? x

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 09:02

I put DH on vit C and zinc but not sure he ever actually takes it Hmm

Got a weekend in Sheffield visiting my best mate. She's an obstetrician so I'm saving up my questions. She's little bit dismissive at times though - I think she's sees me as being very early on in the journey, plus she has to help women battle long term infertility, still births and all sorts of awful things. So I need to bear this in mind and not just say whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy isn't this happening?????????????

Tee4me · 08/09/2016 09:28

Omg Jem I'd definitely be the same as you and want to ask tonnes of questions without making her feel like it's going to dominate conversation! I generally find it hard to talk to anyone about TTC as the response on the whole is pretty dismissive. We just can't pick over the detail like we do here. I think my close friends are probably getting a bit fed up, as I do tend to have little rants about it, and they all tell me the stress is stopping it happening.
I hope she gives you plenty of time to talk things through, and can offer some helpful advice x

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 13:16

I'm going to make a note of my questions and if she's in the mood to humour me I will unleash the crazy Confused

One of my worries is all the outdoor swimming I do Blush could really cold water affect implantation? I'm 7 DPO today and desperate to swim after work, but I don't want to risk anything!

ps2304 · 08/09/2016 13:37

Hi everyone, just to let you know i had my 12 week scan yesterday and all went well. I am actually 13 weeks 3 days according to measurements! Due 13th March!

ps2304 · 08/09/2016 13:48

Here it is!

SQUARE ONE TO GRADUATES - expecting more graduates in July!
LondonJem · 08/09/2016 14:54

Glad all went well PS hope you can relax and enjoy telling people!

Tee4me · 08/09/2016 16:53

Yay PS, I always find scans amazing!! Hope you enjoyed the experience, was he/she very active? Can you feel any flutters yet?
Jem I reckon the sensible & rational answer would be to proceed as normal. But in my obsessive & over-thinking head, I'd worry about doing anything that could cause shock to the body. How cold we talking?? Do you warm up pretty quick??
