I did put a post elsewhere but this thread seems perfect!
Age:29
TTC: #2
CYCLE: 5
Due on: tomorrow!
However I ovulate late (day 17) on a short cycle (24) so tomorrow would be only day 8. I don't think a test would show up would it?
Back ground info: had first baby "unplanned" but been off the pill for 8 months now with no success. Had to have a c section for first so hoping that hasn't affected my fertility. Really got fingers crossed this month!

Hi Jess, Does a c-section affect fertility? I have never heard of that or had it cross my mind. Interesting. Well done waiting to test indecisive. I've still got 5 days to wait till AF. I've almost tested already but since I'm away from home decided i'd better wait at least until I get home!

Well Blueandpinklove, I started doing some research because I was slightly concerned it is taking so long to fall again, and I read 1 of the 4 main causes of Secondary Infertility (SI) is previous surgery such as C section. Apparently excessive scarring tissue can make it hard for the egg to attach. Now that is just one site I found (as you can imagine I was in tears) but I've read so many posts by women who have C sections and gone on to have another baby no problem (I have a friend to had an elective C section and she conceived v quickly). So thinking I may just be panicking.

Thanks blue. We are also away from home- and tbh I rather fancy a nice glass of wine tonight so happy to leave it. That said am anxious every time I go to pee...!

I chatted to a friend the other day about how hard I was finding TTC already ( month bloody TWO!) and I could tell she just did not get it. It's so nice having people in a similar boat to chat to on here. We all know it's a bit bonkers but who can describe that feeling once you've decided you want a baby and how impatient it makes you..

WingingIt83 · 06/05/2016 13:10

indecisive that's exactly how I feel, I've never known a month drag between AF like this one has, and that coupled with the fact I'm pretty certain it's a BFN for this month makes me impatient for my next FW to arrive!

It didn't help that the day after AF arrived after Cycle#1, Sis-in-law announced she was pregnant with her first. Thrilled obviously for her, but also a huge wave of jealously completely out of the blue which I wasn't expecting!

Hi, I'll join in, think I am 11dpo, been a bit impatient and already taken 4 tests from about 7dpo which have all been negative, took one today and within seconds two lines appeared but then the test line disappeared but I am looking at it all the time now I swear I can see a super super faint line only at certain angles in certain light! I really want to test again this afternoon but I should wait a bit longer?!

Report
JessJR23 · 06/05/2016 15:11

The temptation is so strong to test again gg, but you are much more likely to have an accurate response if you wait until first thing tomorrow... I feel you pain!

gg321 · 06/05/2016 15:24

It's so hard isn't it, I kept saying I'd wait as with my first pregnancy it was the same, I tested early and got a really really faint line but I just wanted a definate, I thought I'll defo wait this time until it will either be a definate yes or a definate no but here I am again with this maybe imaginary line that only I can see but I suppose tomorrow will tell me more!

Hello newbies :D love that this post is getting more ladies every day!!
I know I'm going to be testing early I am too impatient to wait! Seems like such a long time especially as I don't know exactly when I'm due as I only came off the coil 2 weeks ago eeeeek xx

MummyTo1TTC2 What will the age gap be (if you get pregnant fairly soon) between 1st and 2nd? I will be super excited to be pregnant with #2 but a bit worried how I will cope with 2, but lots do it and have more so sure it will be fine! But it's a normal worry to have isn't it? x

I am only 6dpo (ish- could be 5, could be 7 as I'm fairly sure I missed my surge and I didn't temp) and I'm already trying not to test early ffs!!! Although I have just realised that I have a few things this month and next which would probably have to be cancelled should I fall pg (horse riding stuff which, despite assurances to the contrary, I'm quite certain OH wouldn't want me to do if I were pg!!). So maybe it won't be all bad if I don't fall this month- can at least get those out of the way and keep practising haha!

Or that's what I'm telling myself anyway....

C sections are on the lower part of the uterus in the uk - implantation is normally higher in body of uterus so I wouldn't be concerned about a previous section affecting fertility x

I've never heard of c sections causing fertility problems, I had one with DS, the scar is as low as it could possibly be, so hopefully will be fine.

AF still not arrived, now 10 days late and still bfn!! Envy

Very reassuring ladies, thank you. It is so easy to read up all sorts of things online and get yourself worried. Good luck all, I am due today and quietly hoping I will get through the day with no show...

Hi ladies,
I took my last pill just over three weeks ago. I had my normal withdrawal and on the seventh day (when I would usually start to take my next packet) we DTD. My initial plan was to let my cycles get back to normal as I have been on the pill for quite a long time. However Monday of this weekend DTD again. The past four days, I've been feeling really off. I've got pain in my lower back, a strange tugging cramping sensation in my lower abdomen and feel tired and nauseous. Are these normal symptoms for just coming off the pill or is there a change I could be pregnant? I wouldn't even know when to test as I've got no idea where my cycle is at. Would greatly appreciate any thoughts x

Can I join?

Age 36
Ttc # 1

I had a miscarriage just over a fortnight ago. We've decided to try again immediately. I've no idea where I am in my cycle but now that I've managed to conceive once (albeit after over 9 years ttc), I'm feeling strangely optimistic.

I think I'll wait another week or so and then do a test if everything is the same. It's a strange sensation. At first it felt kind of like you'd expect muscles to feel after excercise. Now just feels so bloated, heavy and full. I can't bare anything too tight pressing against me. I also have this cramping in my lower back and clear runny cm (sorry for the tmi Blush) I keep thinking surely not. Do you think leaving it another week would be enough time to get an accurate result on a PT given that I've no idea about my cycle? Thank you for replying. Hi to all of you other ladies Smile Hope you all get your BFP soon xx

findingmyfeet12 · 07/05/2016 22:19

Poppy I'm not sure about the symptoms of coming off the pill. The symptoms you describe are exactly how I felt when I got pregnant. I felt generally unwell and as though I was coming down with the flu. The pulling sensations were quite sharp for me and the back pain was pretty bad.

Good luck!

Hi findingmyfeet Smile How early in your pregnancy did you feel like that? So sorry to hear of your mc. It's difficult not knowing anything about where you are in your cycle. Sending you lots of luck and baby dust X

indecisivedoctor · 07/05/2016 22:42

Agree Poppy I can't think of a reason that you'd get symptoms from stopping the pill so it's a definite possibility but as we know in this game it's all a bit of guesswork! You have immense willpower to wait a week to test!!

I am still AF less- was due Weds/Thurs. Every single time I've been to pee today has felt like an emotional rollercoaster- trying to prepare myself for bad news and then really excite at the absence of anything! Arghh! Haven't even told DH yet, and we are away with my parents so sloping off to buy a PT would be tricky!
