I finished AF on Monday, lasted six days which seems reassuringly average. I bought a bbt thermometer to try and track my Ov but I have been so slack and am always way too tired to do it as soon as I wake up. I'm too busy hitting the snooze button! I'll start tomorrow otherwise I'll regret it when I'm trying to guess when I've ov'd

I'm finding not being on the pill really hard this week. My mood swings are horrendous, I keep getting pelvic cramps on the right side, my lower back hurts and I feel constantly tired and nauseous.

I remember having quite bad PMT before I went on the pill but I don't remember feeling this rotten. Have been thinking maybe it's sort of amplified because I haven't had any symptoms at all (more or less) in about 14 years. Did anyone else experience this when they first came off?

sarah, sorry you're having a hard time. If it helps, I had an awful first cycle in terms of mood swings and back pain. This cycle is a bit better. Hope you're being well supported.

Good luck with the bbt Anna. I started using one this cycle, and it's been quite helpful and interesting! It's a pain to remember to take it, but I've got into a routine now. I'm sure you'll manage it!

Temps are still highpurple! I'll take your advice on the test 12 dpo. I just want to know for better or worse I think. It helps that I was able to talk lots with hubby, and let it out a bit. Good luck to everyone , fx all round!

Bless you that sounds horrible, they are similar to my experiences, I was so unbelievably tired I convinced myself I was pregnant! I was on the mini pill so I think it was the sudden dip in progesterone, temps and hormones all over the place, horrible cramps like you describe, sore bbs, skin breakout the lot.
If your cramps get too bad though I would go get checked out, just to be on the safe side.

I was on the combined pill. Femodene for most of the time as Microgynon didn't agree with me. The cramps aren't unbearable just there a lot. Will definitely go the doctors if they don't go away in a day or two though as I'm off on holiday on the 19th so don't want to spend it in pain and worrying. I'm glad other people have had a similar experience coming off the pill though - means I'm not going bonkers!

My DH is being great though - very supportive, even though my mood swings must be getting to him by now!

You poor thing. Is this your first month off the pill? Last month was mine and I had a lot of mood swings and was quite snappy at my partner. This month doesn't seem to be quite as bad. Hopefully it doesn't last long for you and the cramps ease up!

Hi Anna, yes - first month off. Hoping that next month I'm more used to it and it's not so much of a hormonal rollercoaster!

My poor husband is bearing the brunt of most of it at the moment but I think he understands it's just all my hormones trying to get back to normal. He keeps asking if I'm pregnant yet - presumably so he doesn't have to go through this next month!

All my ov symptoms are gone now. I had them all back when I had thought I was about to ov.

Starting to feel like saying sod it now. 8 months is taking its toll

Sarah my first cycle was also a pain so hopefully next cycle will be a calmer/ pain free one for you!

Johno when I had my annovulatory cycle I didn't get any ov symptoms at all so I would guess you have ov'd or will try too again soon! Fx tracking and opks have just let you down this month and that actually you ov'd fine and caught the egg!!

Hi you lovely ladies I'll try keep this short.

Stopped my mini pill ( cerelle ) progesterone only on 30th may had possible w/d or even af 2 days later,

On around the 13th of June I had the following symptoms

• very bloated
• starving
• clear CM
• diarrhoea
• stomach cramps I though af was about to come

24th June dtd with OH after I wiped tmi I had some pinkish/brownish spotting.

Around 2 days later tingling sensations on side of boobs and tugging pain going to my armpits, I still had uterus pain.
Nipples extremely sore and erect. ( they're never erect )

Took a cheap hpt afternoon urine on the 1st July bfn

Anyway from Monday 4th July my symptoms have gotten worse.

• boobs are bigger ( skin tight on sides )
• nipples still erect but not sore
• areola massive and darker with lots of glands on them
• protruding veins going through my nipples
and veins in side
•Lots and lots of white CM when I wipe
•Flu symptoms
• feeling sick
• very hot flushes I had to sleep with a fan on and I'm usually freezing.
• headaches
• so tired
• loss of appetite
• vivid dreams the last 2 nights dreamt I was pregnant
• af type pains but not bad
• metallic taste and extra Saliva
• started crying 3 days ago

I'm taking a test on Friday. FMU

I understand the pill can mess up your system but surely to god my boobs wouldn't be getting bigger and areola massive lol

I'm praying I am.

I've heard stopping the pill can make you ovulate and become more fertile ??

Anyone please any advise I feel like I'm going crazy xx

sarah these all sound like pg symptoms. I'm amazed you're holding out until Friday! I know I'm being a stress head this month but do try not to let it get to you. I guess I need to follow my own advice; there are two options...... You're pregnant or you're not. Time will tell. I'd be happy to have those combo of symptoms

At the moment I have zilch symptoms except watery cm (apologies anyone having dinner!).

Last cycle my boobs went super big and veiny and I was like hell yeh this is it!!!! Turns out it wasn't...cue this face

Knowing my luck I will have spent 8 month symptom spotting and when I do get my BFP I'll be completely oblivious (and probably fuelled by cider!). I don't know whether not knowing when to test/how many dpo I am is a good thing or not lol

Apparently but it keeps changing! I'm completely losing interest this cycle. At least I have the rest of you to keep me entertained lol X

Hi Sarah! I agree with johno. If I had all those symptoms at once I'd definitely be doing a test. I've had a few of the same symptoms as you but not enough to convince me we've conceived so I suspect mine is just pill withdrawal. Your massive combination of symptoms though sounds like textbook pg symptoms. Fx for you! x

johno fx for you... not to get your hopes up but I had no pregnancy symptoms at all so was so surprised by my BFP (still have no symptoms now) except.... I had lots of cm continuously after ov which wasn't right esp in the days leading up to when af was due and I should have been dry. Keeping fx for you!

I have my first midwife appointment next week :).

Who's next to test? Can't wait to have some of you to talk pregnancy with after all this ttc and symptom spotting!

I was on the combined pill (Femodene),Sarah, for 14 years. I only stopped taking it towards the end of last month so I'm not really expecting anything this month as it's my first cycle off it.

But you do hear stories of women getting a massive fertility boost when they come off it so you never know!

Welcome Sarah! I was on the mini pill too (cerazette). I agree with johno that all your symptoms sound the pg symptoms. If you are then your very lucky! When I came off mine I was convinced I was pg too but didn't have half the symptoms you have. Fx for you Hun, you have brilliant willpower to hold out till Friday!

I have also lost interest this cycle johno. Mainly because I don't know if/when I ovulated as I had same problem with you with my CB opk! Just a flashing smiley.

My boobs don't hurt as much now and they usually stop hurting once AF is in the house which is strange for me for them to stop now. I said if I'm not on by Tuesday I'll test then as AF should be due this weekend.

Hey jj thanks for the optimism missus! I really did think I had ov despite that flashing smiley wench, esp as I had spotting around the time of ov. Ibe also got loads of various cm and normally in the build up to AF it's like tumbleweed down there

As The others asked how far gone are you? Hilarious we symptom spot and even when we get a BFP our body mocks us hehe.

sarah10 I'd like to say you're missing out.... But cm is just one other thing to stress about. "Normal" is creamy in the follicular phase with some variations, wet and ewcm in fertile week and around ov then Cm tends to dry up towards AF. Saying that it seems most of our bodies just do whatever they fancy!

I am on cd 32. Last cycle was 36 and one before that 33 so have no idea when AF may turn up really. How about you??

Yes cm is a funny one, I do notice EWCM around ovulation but the rest of the time I just ignore it haha. Just looks normal if I can call it that?!
