Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here because you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2531973-Christmas-is-here-but-its-not-the-turkey-thats-getting-basted-with-symptoms-to-spot-and-festive-cheer-Prty-and-the-gang-are-getting-BFPS-this-year?pg=39&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.
  4. This thread is intended for support - both giving and receiving. If someone helps you then please be kind and return that to another TTCer.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all of my lovelies xx

Prty you're right about your day 21 bloods. They should be done mid luteal phase ie 7 days after ov and 7 days before AF due. They are called 'day 21' based on a 28 day cycle, but if you had a 35 day cycle they would be done on day 28. Can you ring up and change the appointment? No point doing it at 3 dpo - I think it will be difficult to interpret reliably and you'll end up having to repeat it.

Prince welcome to the thread! I think maybe you ovulated later this cycle? If so spotting may be start of AF or implantation I think.

EvansAndThePrince · 11/04/2016 20:23

Oh, forgot to say don't mine Evans or Prince! Wink

I was thinking I had ovulated later so the late AF made sense. I usually come on all of a sudden so I'm blindly hoping that I ovulated late enough to have hit either when we DTD right before AF was due or at the time when I thought we were too late but we can't remember if we DTD Grin

TMI- it's been really odd like I've never seen before, keep seeing small bits of discharge in the loo water as though they've been really thick and same on paper, quite thick and light brown.

How long after implantation would a test usually come up positive?

PrtyPsn · 11/04/2016 20:26

evans I was only on mini pill for 6 months and it totally messed up my system, previously years on combined with no issues. Maybe it is a late ovulation, FXd for you x
pirsy I'm not sure the receptionist would understand (she couldn't even book me an appointment today!) I might go to the nurse appointment anyway, might be easier to explain in person and hopefully she can help me get a new appointment

OP posts:
EvansAndThePrince · 11/04/2016 20:29

Guess I'll just wait and see Grin either way if next AF doesn't show up I'll test again.

snowy1982 · 11/04/2016 20:33

Prty that sounds like a plan, the nurse should be able to help you out

PrtyPsn · 11/04/2016 20:36

evans good plan, though easier said than done!!
snowy I really hope so! I just know reception won't get it and I don't wanna make today's nurse hate me even more by questioning her orders :/

EvansAndThePrince · 11/04/2016 20:52

You got it! cries into pillow

EvansAndThePrince · 11/04/2016 20:53

It's not even that I'm desperate to be pregnant , quite happy to wait my turn for a few months, just can't stand not knowing what the hell my body is doing !

PrtyPsn · 11/04/2016 20:55

(changes evans pillowcase for a waterproof one)
I know, I'm a huge control freak and I really struggle with all the not knowing and lack of control. But we are all here for you to rant, shout, laugh and celebrate with :)

EvansAndThePrince · 11/04/2016 21:31

Grin thank you so much, I'll keep you updated. Now I'm off to the land of Harry Potter to escape my own head!

Luna08 · 12/04/2016 15:01

Thank you all for the lovely welcome. Flowers

AF arrived today...Sad

So sorry to hear your GP was so rubbish Prty. I was really lucky that my GP was really understanding and even sent me a letter to find out how I was when it took DH a while to submit his sample to allow us to get referred...really wasn't expecting that!!

MummyBex1985 · 12/04/2016 18:57

Just catching up Smile

Prty your GP is utter crap. I've heard they take you more seriously if you both go together though!! Rearrange the blood test and don't see the same GP again!

Evans I was like you to start with, utterly peed off with my body and just wanting to get back to normal... Fast forward ten months and I'm now desperate to be PG!

No GP would take me seriously though as I already have a DD (conceived by accident - ironic or what!). Scared now that years of birth control, drinking and smoking have taken their toll :(

Jod1985 · 12/04/2016 19:03

What a crappy crap day Angry I need a hug.

PrtyPsn · 12/04/2016 19:20

(wraps a blanket around jod and hugs, slipping a Galaxy bar into the blanket) what's up?
luna sorry to hear of AF xx our usual response on the thread is AF arrival = take away for dinner!
Thanks bex I definitely wont be seeing her again!

Jod1985 · 12/04/2016 22:28

Thanks prty ThanksWine xxx

MummyBex1985 · 13/04/2016 15:59

Jod - time for a takeaway, a massive bar of chocolate and a vat of wine!

Luna08 · 13/04/2016 17:16

Anyone else's OH just not get it???

Felt hormonal, really down & all round rubbish yesterday & all he could come up with was that I should be greatful for what I have (DS who is 3)!!! Makes me sound ungrateful for saying that, which I'm really not. Know he wants #2 as much as I do but he just doesn't get how all consuming it has become for me cos all he has to worry about is Dtd!!

Can I stick my head in that vat of wine??

PrtyPsn · 13/04/2016 18:55

Jump in it luna why do OHs just always seem to say the wrong thing? I'm sure he thought he was being supportive... they do test us!!

OP posts:
snowy1982 · 13/04/2016 21:01

That's just men for you. Every month when I tell DH AF has arrived he says 'oh well'.... now I know he is saying it as he is well aware that I get very down about it all and he thinks he has to be the strong one etc but it comes across the wrong way

MrsKittenPie · 13/04/2016 22:12

My dh definitely doesn't get it either. luna - I get exactly the same from him. And yes snowy - he says that too - oh well - and it drives me mad! When I'm feeling fed up I don't want to hear - oh well Confused
New tactics this month:
I've abandoned acupuncture - it was nice but didn't work for me
I'm taking coenzyme q10 and Royal jelly - they are supposed to be good for older ladies (like me) trying to conceive. I'm not using opks and I'm not going to constantly date check, am going to try to be way more relaxed - and not going to test before af due date. Am currently on cd6

Pirsy1 · 14/04/2016 08:10

My husband says oh well too!! Maybe they have their own thread too and have decided this is the best way of offering support!

I have been DTD EOD. Had pos OPK yesterday when got home from work so DTD last night which also fit in with my EOD schedule. OPK is still pos this morning but dont think DTD is possible tonight because DH going out to football. Think I might and get another one in tomorrow for good measure and hope for the best!

I like the sound of your strategy kitten.

snowy1982 · 14/04/2016 10:51

Pirsy I think your on to something there Smile. I know DH says it as he is trying not to make a big deal out of things as he knows how upset i get already.

DBAFD4 and I haven't been obsessed this time (well not too much anyway) - that may have something to do with how mental work is, was sitting on the computer at home til 10 working last night, then work at half 4 this morning worrying about work related things so decided to get up and get a hours or so done before my alarm went off - sooo tired right now!!!

PrtyPsn · 14/04/2016 19:25

kitten sounds like our cycles are pretty close this time round :) I was gonna OPK but gonna see what blood results are
snowy keep us updated!!
Blood results not back yet - called to check and debated changing my 21 day appointment. Don't want to do it without checking with medical staff first and receptionist was most annoyed that I wouldn't tell her what the bloods were for so she could decide if the appointment needed moving :/

theneonninja · 15/04/2016 20:45

Hey ladies, can I join?

You all seem like a great bunch!

Ninja
TTC #1
Cycle 4
CD33 (cycle can be anything from 28 days to 40)
Tested:
CD27 -clear blue fertility minister test BFN
CD28 - super drug early response BFN
CD32 - super drug early response BFN

Losing my rag with my body as AF is all over the place. I used to have an implant but that was removed nearly 2 years ago. OH and I haven't been using BC since it was removed. Decided to start TTC in December 2015.

Had impending AF-like cramps since CD25 or so but she's not rearing her ugly head and only getting BFNs. This was my first cycle using the clear blue fertility monitor but only got highs, no peaks so not sure when/if I ovulated this month and even CM was all over the place but most likely either CD15 or CD20 from the look of the lines on the monitor sticks.

Any ways that's probably enough moaning! Sorry ladies

MummyBex1985 · 15/04/2016 20:45

Prty I think I'll be going for bloods next month too, in a way I hope there is something wrong that's easily fixable (clomid maybe!) because unexplained infertility or a real problem would be a nightmare!

I'm actually quite glad that my DH doesn't get as down as me each month, I think it'd be too much to have to handle his massive disappointment as well as my own!
