Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here because you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2531973-Christmas-is-here-but-its-not-the-turkey-thats-getting-basted-with-symptoms-to-spot-and-festive-cheer-Prty-and-the-gang-are-getting-BFPS-this-year?pg=39&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.
  4. This thread is intended for support - both giving and receiving. If someone helps you then please be kind and return that to another TTCer.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all of my lovelies xx

Sorry here about the bfn it was only your first try tho so still plenty of opportunity, don't give up hope, am sure it is meant to be to each of up. Neetie, it will happen try not to stress too much, a family friend of mine has 4 children, she shared with me that the only time she fell pregnant was when she was away on holiday as it was the only time she was ever relaxed ....so all our stressing doesn't help 🙃

snowy1982 · 12/09/2016 11:03

I know TMI, I am over my initial disappointment, it just takes a few days after AF turns up to get my head back in the game, but am sorted now. Just off the phone with the clinic there getting first scan of cycle 2 organised

TMI26 · 14/09/2016 19:25

So I rang the department as mentioned, surprisingly I left a voicemail and they rang back within 3 hours!!! The woman on the phone tells me it is an 18week wait for an initial appointment but we would expect an initial appointment in December ....am super busy at work and going away in November so hopefully I can keep myself occupied.... I'm almost tempted to get clomid whilst I am away in Asia in November....15 weeks to go

snowy1982 · 14/09/2016 21:37

18 weeks isn't fun, but at least you have a time scale now

TMI26 · 16/09/2016 23:26

Got my appointment through, it's in the first week of October so relatively pleased 😁

snowy1982 · 21/09/2016 06:57

Only seeing this now TMI, my notifications don't seem to be working again. That's great, not long to wait now. It's IUI take 2 day for me

TMI26 · 21/09/2016 22:44

1.5 weeks to go, any experience of a first appointment, I've heard that just do more tests!! I've been told I'll probably be given clomid, I am going away in November to my husbands home country where clomid is readily available, I'm almost tempted to just buy it over the counter...I know of so many women who have seen local doctors and done it that way but I'm way too chicken to try anything like that really....when does round two start for you?

snowy1982 · 22/09/2016 08:09

My first appointment was private so not sure what NHS will be like. In mine they just looked at previous blood test results and did a scan to make sure things looked OK internally and discussed course of treatment.

IUI no 2 was yesterday, was a very unpleasant experience. Took 3 different speculums to find one that was 'just right', I feel like the goldilocks of fertility treatment. Don't know why we are having so much difficulty with speculums, never had this issue with smears. But all that matters is they got it done and got 20.4 million of DH swimmers in there - apparently his sample was just excellent so he's all chuffed with himself. Just have to wait and see now

TMI26 · 23/09/2016 22:38

It will all be worth it in the end and then you'll be like speculum, what speculum???! So 12 days left to test?

Well don't think we will have much luck this month got another yeast infection so no dtd as its too painful and no fun! I'm kinda glad to be honest I'm a bit annoyed / upset at DH and couldn't really stomach plastic sexy time.

snowy1982 · 24/09/2016 09:17

Bit of a set back here. It would appear that I am the freak who the trigger injection doesn't work for! To cut a long story short (shortish), after the injection on Monday I didn't have the same reaction as I did the first time, I was a little concerned but then decided I was just over thinking it so let it go. Then yesterday, I had all my typical OV signs (EWCM, pains in my side) so I got freaked out, rang the clinic and spoke to the nurse who said she had never encountered the injection not working before, but to set my mind at ease I should do a PG test, if the trigger got into my system it would be a false positive. Did the test and it was negative, so we've wasted a cycle

snowy1982 · 24/09/2016 09:17

Ack, set backs are no good. But you have your appointment coming up so we'll stay positive

TMI26 · 24/09/2016 11:51

The nurse shouldn't be making sweeping statements. Aunt Google says it does happen albeit rare-if your gettin ov signs then get dtding! There is still the possibility that you conceive naturally. We dtd this morning after almost a week although as I don't ovulate no point ret, after my Nhs appointment I'll review the situation and may go private, snowy how did you go about choosing your clinic?

snowy1982 · 24/09/2016 13:31

Well I'm based in NI and there are only 2 clinics. I emailed them both to ask for some information, one didn't bother getting back to me so I went with the other one.

Can't get DTD, DH is away Sad pretty sure OV (if it happened) happened yesterday so at least there should have been some swimmers still left in there.

Have to say that I have spent the entire morning in tears, for some reason this has hit harder than the last BFN and AF appearance, really beginning to wonder what the point is now

TMI26 · 24/09/2016 13:40

Don't be like that! It will happen..when it is meant to be :) take it one month at a time, read an article on the bbc today about rising number of woman having babies after the age of 45 so plenty of time :)

snowy1982 · 28/09/2016 08:46

Thanks for the pep talk TMI, I took myself off here and licked my wounds for a couple of days but now I'm back. Although have to say the thought of still trying for this when I'm 45 (am 33 now) is very depressing lol DH and I have already agreed we won't carry on that long and we will happily become crazy dog people of that's the case (and as my mum says I am already halfway there to be a crazy dog person). So just an update, I got speaking to doc on Monday and went for a day 21 test yesterday (although it wasn't day 21 it was 7 days post trigger so will only show if trigger caused OV not if I OV'd naturally) and will be getting those results today. Think we have pretty much decided that if this cycle doesn't work we will do a fully medicated/stimulated cycle for the next one.

snowy1982 · 28/09/2016 11:37

Another update, BT results show I did ovulated as planned, they can't explain why it wasn't showing on the PG test though, but this cycle is still open Smile

TMI26 · 28/09/2016 12:42

That's positive :) our bodies are really strange, not long before you know whether it worked for you or not!! F x'd for you I hope this works for you!

My body is really messed up, I'm on Day 4 of cycle, my cycles has condensed from 39 to 28 days - I'm all over the place, I don't check for ovulation or POAS as I've accepted it's probably not going to happen without intervention as I'm not ovulating, appointment on Monday I'm actually excited, I'm going to see how it goes and ask around timelines and if it doesn't work for us we will go private after our November break - I JUST WANT BABIES !!!!

snowy1982 · 28/09/2016 14:07

I know the feeling TMI, was out for lunch there and there was the cutest little baby at table beside me, just wanted to cuddle it and sneak it home Grin

TMI26 · 03/10/2016 13:12

Back from our initial appointment, felt distraught leaving the room, firstly they could not find my husbands test results so she spent ages

TMI26 · 03/10/2016 13:23

Trying to find them with no luck, I was then told I need to repeat the tests day 3 and the ovulation test, which sucks as I only just finished my period yesterday and from my (April) LH results show potential PCOS which I have suspected but was told to concentrate on my thyroid by the doctor - the final bombshell was I have a follow up appointment in 4.5 months!! So nothing until Feb :( had a wee cry and dh spent 30minutes consoling me, i am pleased I have my faith as I do believe is part of a bigger plan for me - I feel like praying hard and then I will review my options - if anyone knows of any private fertility clinic in the beds/Herts or Southwark area please let me know! ❤️😁

snowy1982 · 03/10/2016 13:30

Thats ridiculous!!!

TMI26 · 03/10/2016 16:34

Feel destroyed

snowy1982 · 04/10/2016 11:49

I really don't blame you Sad

Sorry can't help with clinic recommendations, I'm in Northern Ireland.

TMI26 · 04/10/2016 13:23

Feeling a little more chipper today! It's only 5 months I suppose and there is a lot going on until the end of the year so am sure I can keep myself occupied. I am potentionally going to see a specialist when I am abroad, a number of women I know have had clomid given to them via private treatment and it's only take 1 month. I am going to see how I feel as I don't want to do anything too dagnergous - my thyroid is the only thing that puts me off. If you do go down the Nhs route my recommendation would be to ask for a print out of every test result they give you so you can bring them along!

How is your wait going, you must be able to test shortly?
