newgirl how are things going? Are your tests getting any darker? Was it today or yesterday you were due on? Really happy for you!
lawyer did you just get one day of positive opks? If so you probably ovulated 12-36 hours later... Which means you were due on yesterday ish(if you have 14 day luteal phase). If you stopped testing after 1st positive opk you might have missed some more positives, mine are sometimes positive for three days and then I ovulate the day after that. So you could still be a couple of days off AF. If it were me I would test now because I'm addicted! Haha. Friday would have only been about 10-11dpo at latest so probably just too early. Good luck. It is possible (but unlikely if you have regular periods for body to gear up to ovulate, positive opk, and then you don't actually release and egg and actually ovulate later, you can only really confirm ovulation with temping.
shanskate good luck for your test, you have been super patient, not sure I could hold out that long! Hope it's positive for you, sounds like you are getting some good symptoms.
loulabelle the opk is positive when the test line (nearest the wee dip bit) is darker or at least as dark as the control line (the one near the handle) everything else is negative. Mine this month (a page or so back) was really dark, but just a smudge less than control and it still turned out to be negative as no ovulation confirmed by temping. Keep going, it should be obvious when it's positive. And keep Dtd.
first I can't scroll back once I'm writing but I think you said your biopsy was normal and little 5 week sac growing nicely, double congratulations! Shame you can't hit the bubbles.
Well if seen my GP about my scan results. Seems I do have Polycystic ovaries, she isn't too sure if it's the syndrome or just the ovaries, as my day 3 bloods were normal (although typically I had a fairly normal ish cycle the month they were done but they've got haywire again), I do have acne but none of the other symptoms. So she is doing a gynae referral, some 21 day bloods to see if I'm ovulating (which will be hard to time as not only do I have PCO but also a short 8 day luteal phase). She thinks il at least need clomid to conceive. Not sure how I feel about it. Might keep trying for the year naturally as I'm still fairly young ish (28) and then if nothing try clomid. Although it has made me think, I can't be bothered to dtd and try if it's not going to work. That and the fact I'm now on cd30 and no sign of ovulation (except a lot of pelvic pain!!) I feel a bit grumpy! Oh well will have to wait and see what gynae say.
