Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

justtheonethen · 02/02/2016 21:48

I love Italy chat, Tuscany is beautiful. I too have trullo fantasies Smile

ScottishLady7 · 02/02/2016 22:23

Thanks Canters, good luck in psych. I'm just coming off psych and will really miss it, especially since I'm going on to 6 months of ophthalmology HmmConfused
Where are you off to Corgi?

Glad today went ok Kwick and I hope you're not in pain for too long.

Sorry about the bfns Ain fingers crossed things are moving into a more predictable rhythm.

I'm just coming out of my fertile window (I think) and donned the cape every day Grin

DH is now away to Paris for work- think he's glad to get the rest...

justtheonethen · 02/02/2016 22:24

Sorry ain missed that, boo for bfn but Gx for a late shower Thanks

ChatEnOeuf · 02/02/2016 22:45

Yes, we've done Tuscany and Umbria (as well as Rome, Verona, Venice, Lake Garda and the mountains...). Never been to the south, though. DH won't let me buy land and build a Trullo-inspired farmhouse He is BU, yes?

Sorry Ain Flowers My new and bemusing AFs start like you're describing. Nice change from the previous gush of blood and fainting, but does tend to get my hopes up a little more than is reasonable.

corgi88 · 02/02/2016 23:26

sorry ain Flowers
I want to live in a Tuscan farm house! Can we have the viroid commune there!?
Scottish I am off to paediatrics which will probably not help the broody fires that obs&gynae has stoked.
Opthalmology will be good for GP though! I am terrified of any opthalmological things. Eeeeek.
pretzel congrats!

corgi88 · 02/02/2016 23:28

just if you have arse rain stay off! otherwise you will spread the disease! have a duvet day have a duvet day

FuzzyOwl · 02/02/2016 23:30

Ain, sorry your body is messing your around.

He IB totally U Chat! I love Italy and have visited countless times. It is one of my favourite places and not just because of the wine, food and ice cream

Canters15 · 02/02/2016 23:52

Just- listen to corgi. Don't go to work!

Scottish- ophthalmology?! So random but it should be a nice job, ophthalmology peoples are pretty chilled aren't they? Plus you will never have that heart sink feeling i get every time a patient sits down and says 'doctor its my eye....' Gx this weeks shagging has done some good!

Congrats pretz!!

Ain sorry about bfn. So confusing! Keep testing if AF not here tomorrow, you never know!

Kwick glad you're OK and nothing too amiss in the womble.

Cats....you have not failed. There has to be a reason this is happening now, and the fertility clinic will find out what that is. Big hug.

corgi88 · 03/02/2016 01:27

This is everything I have thought about that hideous motherhood challenge on fb.
www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/feb/02/facebook-motherhood-challenge

Illiria · 03/02/2016 05:18

Kwick glad it went ok, hope the bleeding and cramps clear up soon.

Nfmv: witch has cleared off but DH ate too much to dtd tonight. Putting off my preferred shag schedule but I really should be just shagging this month. Someone hooyah me please

justtheonethen · 03/02/2016 06:56

corgi that sums up how I feel, but much more eloquently, I can't get past gibbering rage.

ill gentle hooyah, start tonight pounce him before dinner

I have taken your advice and had day off. I realised how horrified I would be if someone else was planning to go to work with arse rain and temperature and thought that was a better measure of if I should be off than how much disruption/guilt it will cause!
I've been up most of night so staying firmly in bed

ChatEnOeuf · 03/02/2016 07:24

Preferred shag schedule Grin

Corgi I love that article, sums it up beautifully, and without all the swearing that I would have put in Wink

Hope the arse rain settles Just - definitely don't spread it around.

NFYV Ain?

Yes ain what news?

Kwick709 · 03/02/2016 08:38

Just how is the arse rain?

Waiting for news from Ain

My womble seems to have settled down... last night was not pleasant... I went to bed early but work up at 1am in AGONY again and had to down some paracetomol and then work up again sporadically through the early hours. Am still in bed... but with laptop as ipad has run out of juice. Definitely having a quiet day at home... especially as I just discovered a whole pile of post which I have not opened & dealt with... I seem to just attract paper and my flat is sooooo small I have had to take over some of landing for filing & storage - need to get rid of rubbish before baby. Anyone got any tips on this.... I know I am a lost cause (I keep everything!!!!).

I am also VERY annoyed with Amazon/LoveFilm. Years ago I took out a LoveFilm subscription so that I could watch all the TV I had missed and not been able to get my hands on whilst living in Spain: The Waltons, Press Gang, Friends and so on. Then Amazon bought LoveFilm so I have two accounts... but Amazon you often have to pay for - like I wanted to watch "Charles in Charge" but you have to pay for this... and it is not available on LoveFilm!!! Also my cheapy subscription goes up now and I am tempted to cancel everything but there is so much I still want to watch and I do not want to have to fork out on buying DVDs for (no space for that anyway) like Presumed Innocent, Bomb Girls, Entourage the movie... Angry

pretzelpieces · 03/02/2016 08:51

just imagining it is someone else is so often the best way to make self care decisions! Well done.

kwick Get Netflix instead? Also have you read the Marie Kondo book on the art of tidying, it helped me stop being a hoarder and I've maintained it a year on. I don't agree with everything she says but the way she suggests tackling things is set out in a very practical step by step way and it worked for me. Hope womble feels all better Flowers

justtheonethen · 03/02/2016 11:11

This comedian has posted this photo in response to motherhood challenge Grin

Ain626 · 03/02/2016 14:03

Oops... Sorry viroids! Didn't realise you were all waiting for nfmv. Shock I haven't really got any news. Didn't poas this morning as I have for the past 3 days and it's always been negative. Still have a browny colour when wiping, though this morning it had slight hints of red exmaing it every time is normal right??? Hmm As is sharing this info with you guys???

Just I'm glad you took the day off. Hope you are getting some rest. I'm having a chilled day too, but definitely going back tomorrow. I am feeling much better after some rest. Maybe that's really all I needed?

Kwick we have Amazon prime - but I don't actually use it that much... DH uses it all the time though (and he pays for it tbf). I occasionally binge watch stuff in the school holidays...

Pretz I am totally going to look up Marie Kondo.

Scottish I had to look up ophthalmology... Blush It definitely doesn't sound like fun to me! I'm sure it'll be interesting though...

Oh, and I am totally up for having the commune in a Tuscan farmhouse. Especially if it's not too far from the sea and is surrounded by fields. We need a wheat field that we can run through with our flowy hair and flowy skirts...

Ain626 · 03/02/2016 14:07

Is this the one Pretz?

Catscatsandmorecats · 03/02/2016 14:57

Thank you lovely viroids for cheering me up and giving me a virtual kick up the bum, I was very sad yesterday. Today the symptoms are getting better but I am still having an attack of the crazies because I am still having early pg symptoms even though the bleeding stopped, not least a stupid amount of cm from my acid fanjo. I may well poas just to stop myself going mad. I am much jollier though :D

kwick I'm so pleased to hear it went well and that more importantly you are lookuing after yourself. You must rest!

just and ain you too! I really do think resting when you are feeling that unwell is so important. Not only are you saving others from illness but you will be able to do a much better job if you let yourself recover properly.

ain sorry for the bfns, as the others have said, hopefully this is your body starting to do its thing like it should, which is good news Flowers

On the fb motherhood thing, I was naively nit really thinking about it and thinking it was quite sweet - but that is my nature. My friend posted something a bit like that comedian, but with pictures of his cat, totally taking the piss. I know he wanted kids but don't know anything more than that, he and his wife don't have any yet so perhaps he was having a little dig. If so, good for him. Fb is a minefield, generally in my naivety, I am pleased for everyone but there was an announcement yesterday that really got to me. I am too nosey to take a break from it though and I love seeing pictures of my friends horses

Oooh, and congrats pretzel :)

ZylaB · 03/02/2016 17:07

Still reading, just lots going off here so not been replying, sorry. Positive ovulation stick last night I think so shagging!

pretzelpieces · 03/02/2016 17:32

Thanks cats Smile
