Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Corgi, re your MIL, could you agree with her that she divides her time between her DM and you whilst looking for and buying a new property that you will all support her getting and help her to turn into someone she is confident and happy to live in?

corgi88 · 25/01/2016 10:39

yeahhh! pics!
just did you get your cape on?
I'm now Day 29/8 dpo and symptom spotting like a loon. Only all my sx are probably AF ones. huh. Not sure what to expect of this WTF cycle, should I give it the longest it's ever been (35d) and then test if no AF?

corgi88 · 25/01/2016 10:41

fuzzy that's a good idea, and probably what I was going to suggest to DH. But she does tend to be very short-sighted indeed (i.e. no long term plan whatsoever) and it might be a job to persuade her to give up the cottage. It is hard though not having your independence so that might be how we swing her...

angelazul · 25/01/2016 11:39

Gx London!!!

ChatEnOeuf · 25/01/2016 11:47

Flowers Cats and Canters - lots of us have been there. Look after yourselves. Wine with lunch is perfectly acceptable in these circumstances.

GX London! Pictures please?

See how you go Corgi. My wtfs were about 10 days longer than normal. I'd certainly wait until at least 14dpo if you're sure that's when you iced. But then I hate being wrong!

LondonGirl83 · 25/01/2016 11:47

Thanks viroids! I don't have any pics but I'll take one tomorrow (assuming I didn't just hallucinate the entire thing)...

The line is so faint I wasn't really sure. I ended up fishing out the one from Saturday out of the bin (yes gross and I don't empty my bathroom bin that often!) and in a side by side its definitely there.

I can't wait until tomorrow morning.

Catscatsandmorecats · 25/01/2016 12:10

ooooooh london it is very exciting! gx gx

just & chat is baileys hot choc or wine acceptable whilst I am working from home?

Thank you viroids for all the support - I am really finding it super miserable today, the first chemical just felt like a blip but this one is a whole load more real.

I love my Dr - she is sending me for bloods and then as this is technically my third mc (no matter how early) she wants to refer me to the hospital too. If my bleeding lasts longer than a normal period she wants a scan too. She seems quite concerned and wants to be thorough. She really is a great GP.

FuzzyOwl · 25/01/2016 12:27

london, how did I miss that?! Gx for tomorrow for you.

Glad you have a good doctor supporting you Cats and not at all surprised you feel so miserable. Here to talk if you need or want to. X

Canters15 · 25/01/2016 13:29

Thanks all. Cats, let's have a virtual unmumsnetty hug and neck some gin. I'm so glad your doctor is being so good. I do wonder whether I ought to tell mine so this is on my record, but then would hope they would take my word for it if it happened again. No fair. Do I just wait to stop bleeding and start shagging again as normal?

To cap it off I have had a dreadful morning work wise. Just taking a few mins to relax before I do my home visits.

London, a cautious congrats! Can we get a test photo tomorrow??! So exciting.

Catscatsandmorecats · 25/01/2016 13:44

canters yes definitely, virtual hugs all round. I'd get it on the record, it may well help if you want further help in the future, which of course you won't!

I am very aware of how lucky I am to have such a brilliant doctor, I'm sure all you medics on here are pretty understanding too.

NFMP (pony): My stupid dpony bucked the new little girl who is trialling her off yesterday. She hasn't done that in about 10 years, I am so cross with her! New jockey was OK and is determined to carry on with the trial at least but what a stupid animal, she doesn't know what is good for her!

FuzzyOwl · 25/01/2016 16:39

Sorry about your day on top of everything Canters. Yes to to just carrying on as normal. You might or might not have a slightly longer bleed or cycle, but I don't know if yours have regulated yet anyway so you might not notice anything difference. There is no harm in trying again straight away.

Glad the girl trying your dpony wasn't put off. Hopefully it is a one off.

Now I have given up testing, the lead up to AF is not any more relaxing. Instead I am wondering at what stage AF stops being late and I make an appointment to see a midwife. Obviously, this is still hypothetical as AF isn't even due yet!

LondonGirl83 · 25/01/2016 17:00

Fuzzy so you aren't going to do anymore home pregnancy tests. Even if you are late its straight to the midwife? I'm impressed. I couldn't do it. I try not to test unless I am actually late (though obviously not this time).

FuzzyOwl · 25/01/2016 17:09

My new year's resolution London was to not do anymore tests although I didn't think it through properly as obviously I am going to find out for certain if I am pregnant or not before seeing someone!! Maybe I will change it to not testing until I am a week late...

LondonGirl83 · 25/01/2016 17:46

A week late is a very good measure. I think that's how long anyone not TTC would wait before taking a test. I'm sure they save themselves a lot of heartache too. I try hard not to test early, I really do but there is always some party or some vaccine for exotic travel that means I have to Grin

Kwick709 · 25/01/2016 18:48

I forgot to welcome all newbies yesterday: WELCOME!!

Canters15 · 25/01/2016 19:17

Have been bleeding for 2 days longer then usual already fuzzy. Bored of this- the period that never ends! Glad we can get straight back on the horse as it were.

Cats, on the plus side, I once bought a pony solely for the reason it bucked me off. Teenage me thought it was hilarious! Hope your girl feels the same!

Kwick709 · 25/01/2016 19:29

Trying to make my way through the pages written since last night - so posts may be a bit sporadic.
Stumbly at the risk of outing myself I work in HR in the hotel industry.

Kwick709 · 25/01/2016 19:31

thanks Ain :)

Kwick709 · 25/01/2016 19:33

Canters and Cats please keep the faith Flowers.

FuzzyOwl · 25/01/2016 19:33

Same here London although I think AF is due on Wednesday and no matter how are I try, I can't think up a legitimate reason to need to test!

Hello and welcome to all newbies. I was catching up with the thread earlier and it moved too fast to remember everyone's name.

That's rubbish Canters and really sorry. I spent some time on the ttc after a mc threads the year before last and a high number conceived again in their wtf cycle or the one immediately after.

Kwick709 · 25/01/2016 19:37

GX London!

Illiria · 25/01/2016 19:38

Hugs cats and canters

This wtf cycle is kicking my ass. Two days past af due from when I think I iced. Dr gave me go ahead for iui next month but DH and I have been "accidentally" forgetting to prevent from when I got the ok to dtd. Which was about a week after the ov symptoms onwards.

It's 41 days since miscarriage, when should i start to worry about my cycle?

Kwick709 · 25/01/2016 19:44

News from the front: had pants day at work... cried over one of my bosses about boobage bump, cried over colleague about big fear that stress of job is what is stopping iui from working. I am so stressed with work and money and trying to get upduffed at mo that I am on edge...

On the positive front I just made (and ate) a lovely dinner - rainbow chard in a lovely bechamel sauce with smoked mackerel. Am treating myself to a lime cordial drink.

Am off to deal with boobage bump - got loads more gunge from it this morning - and then am going to order magic potion... there I bet you did not expect to read a sentence like that today!

LondonGirl83 · 25/01/2016 21:30

Kwick sorry about your pants day!

Could buy any FRER. DH picked up a clear blue but then we found an old FRER in the cupboard. No idea when its from. Hopefully its not duff.

FuzzyOwl · 25/01/2016 21:46

Sorry Illiria and I wouldn't worry just yet because it is called a wtf cycle for a reason. Then again, my LP hasn't changed following a mc but I don't know if that is the norm or not.

Sorry to hear you have had such a bad day Kwick Flowers

Gx for you London.
