More acronym questions...FRER & SMEP? I'm on cd15, 4th day of high fertility on cb opk, worrying there's no peak coming.

Hi Jennie, FRER is a first response pregnancy test. The ones in the pink packets. They are very sensitive and very clear, but expensive!
I'd also like to know what SMEP is. It seems to be something to do with DTD as much as humanly possible but someone else will know what it stands for I'm sure.
Mimi it's gotta be a 2016 baby for all of us, 2017 is just too long to wait!

FRER is just a first response hpt supposed to test pregnancy early.
Smep is a plan of ttc by dtd every other day till u get a peak.then everyday for 3days then one more after ov.(goggle has best description)

We did smep (sperm meets egg plan) the month we conceived.
Jennielm i had about 15 high fertility flashing smileys in dec, got peak on my last stick! Apparently they get more defined after each cycle. Keep going, im glad i did. X

I googled baby aspirin, i cant find it anywhere, but found a forum that said its just the 75mg aspirin? is this correct? when do you start taking it as i dont know when ill get to boots. be ok to start on Saturday? might get to boots on Thursday but not sure.

Introducing myself
Had my copper coil removed just before Christmas so we're on our first month of TTC baby #2. Currently 1.5 weeks late but all tests are negative so putting it down to coil removal affecting things. Stressed but happy to find some ladies in a similar boat

kellz try to google taking baby aspirin when trying to get pregnant '.its supposed to increase the blood floor to the pelvic area and helps thicken the endrometric lining for better implantation.was taking it when i was pregnant with dd .

Mimi i did and cant find anywhere to buy it! ahhh :( i read on a forum they dont call it baby aspirin anymore its just 75mg aspirin, but i dont want to go get that and take it for the sake of it! Ill look into it more tonight :)

The low dose aspirin of 81mg or 75mg is what i take.i buy the bayer brand or cafemol.had forgotten about it till last cycle.really need to get my bfp this month or next (im really getting desperate haha).just confirm with your gynae.

I've been a total worry wuss since i found out and this waiting for a appointment/scan is killing me. saw Dr been referred for an early scan but not sure when that'll be. started folic acid and vitamins. cramping is awful now I can't sleep and lower back is killing me.

so sorry for all those the wicked witch got this cycle. Lots n lots of luck for those starting the DTD soon. sending baby dust to you all xxx

SMEP= dtd every other day from cd8 (we did from end of af) use opk from cd 10 i think, when u get peak fertility dtd daily for two days, one day rest then dtd one more time.
Mimi all going good ta. Not showing yet just bloated Sore boobs and up to pee frequently. Need to ring to book in with mw this week but don't want our matron to find out till I'm 12 weeks. Hope you're ok. Keep going it'll be worth it. X

I never use opks because they frustrate me. dtd every other day then from day 10 to day 15 dtd every day. Then every other day until test day. Worked twice.

Only using OPK to check that i am ovulating as one problem i have for definite is being really overweight and i know that is a really big reason for trouble conceiving. :-( fingers crossed.xx

Jennie I was close to 19st when I found out I was pregnant with DD, she was a surprise too. I've lost a bit since then but I think that's what's stopping me too, so still trying to lose a few more stone while ttc to see if that helps xx

I've not had much success with OPKs either, found out I was testing too early on the morning cause whenever I tested in the evening I got nothing. At least they're cheap!

Hi all, CD4 for me too. I might try SMEP this month then. I'm lucky that I get positive OPK on day 13 every month so I'm nothing if not predictable. Having said that I'm still checking as I have to start the progesterone at the right time.

I've decided to count this as cycle 5, as I was briefly pregnant in the autumn. It just feels a bit better than thinking I'm in cycle 10 (or is it 11?). I'm also on aspirin 75mg and I'm going to try the prednisolone this month too after ovulation if my consultant agrees. My poor stomach won't thank me though, just hope I don't get an ulcer!

God mine weren't...£30 for 20, which was £10 cheaper than boots!! Just hoping that i ovulate and then I'll know and won't buy any more!! 5th day testing tomorrow so fingers crossed its a solid smiley and then I'll be happy, happy, happy!! :-D must dtd tonight.

Cockles I get my positive on day 14 every cycle. Im on same day as you. Bought some 75mg aspirin tonight to start tomorrow. I'm going to try smep, dh will love me emailed the webpage to his work to read tonight lol xx
