I know some ppl try a lot longer but this is getting me really down now. I've had an internal ultrasound and everything looks fine apart from me having mild polycystic ovaries but I don't have any of the other symptoms and my husband's SA was good.
I just don't understand what's not working. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Or has any thoughts about anything else we can try? Already use cbfm to time when to bd, take prenatals, hardly drink and have cut out caffeine. Life TTC is getting a bit dull to be honest!!

Hi,

Thats a lovely message to read. You must be so excited! The next few months will surely fly by so quick! Can I ask what symptoms you had.

DH is only taking pregnacare for men and only started two weeks ago, but hes seems to be happy to do so.

Still no sign of AF for me!!! Temps are still up. Took another test last night and this morn and our eyes keeps tricking us into thinking there is a second line but its just the indent line! So cruel to have not had AF and not had a BFP, we just want a nice new cycle to get going again. panda weve stopped BDing this week, I just am losing heart and need a break, plus as you say it is bloody exhausting.

Off to doctors on Monday just hope theyll do something. Its our 9 year anniversary today and Id really hoped wed have got our BFP by now. Dont you find every mile stone you say to yourself, dont worry maybe by Easter, then its Summer, then the xmas holiday etc?

How you doing today? Were just on our way back from France!!! Just did a booze run with the folks. Oh and our best friends have just announced they're expecting their first baby after falling pregnant the first month of trying!!!! (Needless to say I was rather emotional when I found out) Xxx

Panda1985 · 21/11/2015 17:40

Yes tootsie I can imagine it is getting so disheartening Sad I really hope the dr will do a blood test and then if they're sure you're not, give you something to bring it on. Completely don't blame you about stopping bd-ing, you must be well and truly over it!

Yep there is always a mile stone and it's difficult to make plans because of what ifs. We want to visit mates in Canada next year but keep saying what if I'm pregnant at that point and can't fly but then I just think I probably won't be. Although today my dad said "you will be" I think he's fairly determined one way or another we'll make it happen next year, i think he's sad seeing me sad about it.

Oh god I'm sorry about your best friends, that really must have got you in the gut. Did they know you were trying?

Hi both, no problem!

Panda, yes he was taking them as separate tablets (and the Brazil nuts!).. He was more than willing to take them (I don't think he thought it would take as long as it did either so was willing to try anything) but I would normally have to remind him! I would just mention it as I was taking mine..

Tootsie.. Thank you Smile I actually didn't have any symptoms (well, different to what I normally experience at that point in the month!) The day before I tested I actually had what I thought was bad period cramps (though I did get a couple of sharper twinges which I don't normally).. I completely thought I was out though as after ovulation I always got sore boobs (presumably due to progesterone rise) and the nearer I got to AF the less sore they got (due to progesterone falling). I always thought that the month I got my BFP they would stay sore.. But they followed the same pattern so it is true when they say you're not out until AF shows up..

I completely get what you're saying about milestones.. I really wanted to have given birth whilst I was still 32 (so when we started trying I had a good six months in which that could happen.. I thought that would be more than enough time!). But obviously it didn't happen and I will be 33.. But it doesn't matter at the end of day.. I was a bit upset at first but you'll feel much less pressure if you let go of them and just think that even though it might not be when you'd hoped/expected, there is every chance it will happen. The not knowing is very frustrating though..

Hope all goes okay at the GP Flowers

I just wanted to my my reassurance that it took me 13 months to get pregnant but I now have a beautiful daughter. Whilst trying to get pregnant I had a 40d cycle and convinced myself I must be preggers. AF eventually put in an appearance but not until after having been to Dr and been declined a blood test.
I really recommend 'The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant'. It's a light hearted but informative guide to getting pregnant and dealing with the pschotic, I mean psychological aspect!

kittyvet · 22/11/2015 20:21

add my!

Panda1985 · 22/11/2015 20:36

Hi Silver, I'm definitely going to look into those vitamins and get DH to scoff some Brazil nuts Smile

I know what you mean about the milestones, I can imagine that once you are pregnant all of that is just forgotten about. I really hope you have a happy and healthy rest of pregnancy.

Thanks kitty it does make feel so much better to hear that it just takes some ppl a while longer. I'm going to look into that book because I'm literally the most impatient person going!

Hi all

Loving the brazil nut tip....have mentioned it to DH. I'll also be looking into the book.

Nervous about my docs appointment tomorrow, because I don't think it'll be any help and even if they do say I can have a blood test the results wont be for a week after the test. Could be 2 weeks before I know what the hell is going on!

I have the worst twinges and pinching on my left side today. The muscle just above my hip bone towards my back...driving me mad!

How are you today panda? xx

Panda1985 · 23/11/2015 16:00

Hey tootsie how did the dr go? Did they finally do something? I hope so! Are you still getting the same pains?

I'm ok, more xmas shopping today and then off to London tomorrow for the night, getting into relaxed mode Smile Am looking like a hormonal teenager though, face is covered in spots, which is weird as I never get spots!

Doctor was a bit pants. He said I probably didnt ovulate and to keep trying. He said opks and bbt are not always accurate so not to worry about them or use them?!

He wouldnt do a blood test either as he said I'd know by now if I was duffed up. On a plus only 6 more weeks until we can see a specialist and get some actual help. I tried to explain the toll its taking emotionally but he said he couldnt help as the rules are strict now about waiting a year for help.

Ive booked to see yet another on on Thursday, as they just seem to be fobbing me off. Ok i accept i may not be pregnant but something is causing the back ache, pelvic twinges and now pains in my boobs. Something is going on with my body. It actually makes me quite peed off!

Anyway, xmas shopping sounds good. Im with you on the spots. Where in your cycle are you! Xx

Panda1985 · 23/11/2015 18:33

Oh they really are crap aren't they! Good job for looking on the bright side about getting something done soon though! In my area it is actually 2 yrs but he said he would refer me earlier as I have other medical conditions. You seeing another GP on Thursday?

My dr also said the same thing about temping and opks and to just relax about it. So stopped for a few months and guess what, nothing! So I'm back using the cbfm but I haven't started temping again as I felt like that was affecting my sleep.

I haven't even ovulated yet, so I'm not sure what the spots are about. Ah well, I've just decided I have no clue what is going on inside my body!

Im getting to that stage too! Fee up and confused as to what the heck is happening or going on! Im normally very good at reading the signs and knowing my body but with this I have no clue. Yes seeing the doc on Thursday....i foresee more time wasted and bs but worth a try!

Im joing the SMEP thread, going to give that a whitl this cycle or whatever youd call it if you fancy joinging me? Xx

Panda1985 · 26/11/2015 13:15

Hey Tootsie! How you doing? Been to see the doc again?
We had a nice time in London, was definitely good to get away for a couple of days.
Went to see a non-medical fertility specialist this morning and she seems to think the fact I have arthritis is the issue and I'll likely have really high natural killer cells. So she's saying I need a biopsy.
Guess it's another thing to look into.
Hope you're ok

Tootsieroll1 · 26/11/2015 14:10

Hi

Oh no! I've never heard of arthritis playing a part, thats interesting. Good you have another thing to look into.

Cancelled the doctors today. The pains have eased a bit. I think it could be a food intolerance of all things. And guess what I have narrowed it down to...:dairy, potatoes or WINE!!!!!

Xx

Panda1985 · 26/11/2015 14:57

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm pleased she's said this or not! To have the biopsy means taking a month off trying and then apparently 6 weeks for results, so just feels like more time passing. But then again it would just be good to have a reason for why it isn't happening and hopefully some treatment.

Glad you're managing to pinpoint what's causing the pains. Shame it might be wine though! No sign of your period still? I have heard of Vitex messing with your cycles, don't know if it could be that.

Tootsieroll1 · 26/11/2015 19:25

Nope, no sign of it!!!

Oh really? Maybe I should come off it for a bit then xx

Tootsieroll1 · 26/11/2015 19:26

That is a long time to break for, but it could work out quicker on the long run. If you can find out what it is then you maybe able to work round it better xx

Panda1985 · 26/11/2015 21:14

Yeah I remembered when I was taking it I read that a few ppl who normally had regular cycles said it messed theirs up and stopped them ovulating. Might be something to consider.

Yep I guess it's about looking at the bigger picture. Just a shame I hadn't figured this out earlier. Ah well!
