Thought I'd get this party started. Here's the stats: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sHG9PPsOs0yIqgR-o2UXX_fdlCQXdVNLfmPpNOePPjQ/edit

May this bus yield many BFPs! Hoorah!

sammy I used boots tests last werk, pack looked the same and they were 25miu

Rainy34 · 22/11/2015 21:23

babybump thank you , got my fingers crossed you will get lucky this cycle but if not least you are seeing a specialist to put you on the right track

beansprout how much vitamin c did you take? , I am going to grab some this week ,

lilygirl81 · 22/11/2015 21:49

Just thought I'd say that I had those boots tests I think and they were 25mu.

I completely forgot to post the picture earlier, but these tests are the ones I had such an awful time with, wouldn't recommend to anyone, although they are super cheap

Does anyone know if there are manufacturing standards for pregnancy tests (and OPKs for that matter)? They just seem to cause so much stress for people when they don't work properly and a lot of people (including myself) have doubted the accuracy of tests because of past experiences or experiences of others. The quality seems to vary so much, if there are standards for them they can't be that great. There's so much stress involved already in TTC, it would be lovely if dodgy/unreliable tests didn't add to it!

lilygirl81 · 22/11/2015 22:20

magpie I think you're right. The problem is the tests are so expensive, that Internet cheapie a seem like a sensible idea, but you have no idea what you are getting. Definitely needs to be better regulated as it causes so much stress

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2015 06:47

Thanks everyone!

The poundland test was definitely negative this morning and the FRER was a real squinter so I can stop testing now until next week! Agh!

Xx

Sodasoda · 23/11/2015 09:15

Congrats on the BFN sammy Grin I think you're definitely right to make sure you're testing negative before next week. A false positive would be heartbreaking.

Definitely agree magpie. I have a bunch of cheapies I test with but who knows if they're reliable. when I've tested negative with them I've always told myself they're unreliable I've got a FRER and digital and always planned to use those if I get a positive on the IC.

I thought I was 4dpo today but my temp was low this morning so FF has gone mad and now says it can't be sure I ovulated so feeling a bit worried. I really feel like I did ovulate on Thursday and my temps were high over weekend. I just find temping hard with my poor sleep patterns. Hoping today's temp was just a strange one. So I guess I'll be due AF next weds - if I did ovulate.

Hope everyone had nice weekends. Bleurgh to Monday.

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2015 19:34

Girls I'm having a wobble. I've got af like cramps. Is this all over??? Xx

nightandthelight · 23/11/2015 20:01

Could be implantation cramps Sammy? When is AF due and how early do you usually get cramps?

Beansprout30 · 23/11/2015 20:01

Sammy dont wobble, keep positive, could it be implantation?

rainy I took 500mg up til ovulation then 1000mgduring tww, have cut it back now after bfp and drinking orange juice instead

MagpieCursedTea · 23/11/2015 20:04

Sammy cramps could be a really positive sign, I remember my friend telling me she had really bad cramping a week or so before her bfp.

lilygirl81 · 23/11/2015 20:09

Sammy I have had cramps almost every day since about 7dpo. Try not to wobble x

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2015 20:11

I'm 4dp5dt so technically 9dpo. I think I usually get some cramping around 5 days before af. I'm trying to stay positive but it's really hard when I'm feeling like this! Xx

Sodasoda · 23/11/2015 20:12

I've heard a load of people saying they had AF like cramps before their BFP sammy - fingers crossed it's just snuggling in tight for the 9 months ahead. Thinking of you and definitely don't lose hope xx

eskimoflo · 23/11/2015 21:15

Sammy It is the right time for implantation, no? Eeep! Keeping everything crossed for you!

I took my last progesterone pill yesterday. Just got to sit tight and wait for AF. Hmm

Rainy34 · 23/11/2015 21:27

Sammy try and keep positive , i can only imagine it must be so hard but it won't help you if you get yourself into a state, got my fx its implantation pains!!

Beansprout thank you, i am going to get myself some at the weekend ,

Flybynight1 · 23/11/2015 21:59

Stay strong Sammy, like others say fingers crossed it is implantation!! Do you temp with the ivf or does it not work now?

lily were they strong cramps or faint ones? I'm on 7dpo and have been having light cramps for the past 2days... So light they almost feel fluttery? Super weird. Probably I ate something Grin

bean on the Vit c front-what is it meant to do exactly? Since I read your post on that I've been having my daily Vit c effervescent just incase!

waves to everyone and hope your Mondays have gone ok!!

citybumpkin · 23/11/2015 22:01

Congratulations to all with a BFP! Currently wiping flaps as determining what this ovulating thing is all about... City, 39, TTC#1 for 2 mths, OH 54. Just endured second round of ORT and waiting for results. For waiting read climbing the bloody walls and hoping my insides are still working to some extent!

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2015 22:10

Welcome city! This is a lovely place to hang out while figuring out what your body is up to!

Fly - as I've had no drugs I could temp but I haven't been as I decided I didn't need another thing to stress about.

Poor dh isn't really sure what to do with me, I can't stop crying tonight. Xx

eskimoflo · 23/11/2015 22:14

Welcome city! Glad you stopped by Grin When will you get the results of your test?

fly it is supposed to boost progesterone and therefore help with short luteal phase - this explains morenatural-fertility-info.com/vitamin-c-increases-fertility-and-chances-of-getting-pregnant-by-25.html

Might have just been a lucky cycle for me, but my temps were higher and more consistent after taking the vit c, which I guess due to higher progesterone

Beansprout30 · 23/11/2015 22:23

sammy have a little cry then put the energy into positive thoughts, there is no reason why this is not going to work for you Flowers

citybumpkin · 23/11/2015 22:23

Hello eskimo and sammy! Getting my head around all the jargon. We were just going to "see what happened" but due to my/our age(s) thought there should be some science stuff in there. So got some OPKs and just started charting with FF. Tests due back on Friday ( private clinic). They did ultrasound and AMH. I feel stressed already after 2 mths so dog knows how others feel on here!

Flybynight1 · 23/11/2015 22:30

Thanks bean. Just so happens I bought a whole load of lovely looking satsumas today!! All mine Grin

sammy could be hormones! you could just be knackered from the whole thing! I bet you've not been able to relax much lately...! Def let yourself have a cry and don't feel bad about it!!

Welcome city!! Im a fan of charting, I'm learning so much about my body, it's so amazing really! Hope your tests come back clear and you get your BFP soon Smile
