dizzy get going my dear! Busy busy busy! Wink x

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/11/2015 00:49

Welcome back boris and lucie! Hope you're both well!

sammy, it's fate that's what that is! You weren't meant to get another scan but you did anyway, and now you've got your date booked! If you hadn't have decided to get that extra scan you'd be none the wiser! Freaky! I love a good fate story.

dizzym I would say your line is almost there. Fx for tomorrow!

flyby I can't believe you're already on your next surge and I'm still stuck on bloody Octobers cycle! Grr! Cd39 now!

Flybynight1 · 16/11/2015 07:31

dizzyn are you having an anovulatory cycle do you think? Are you seeing your GP about it all? It's not all roses with me either mind-my last 3 cycles I ovulated CD18, CD16 and now it looks like CD12/13 and last cycle my LP was only 11 days which seems too short... I'm joining you in the class of irregulars!!!

We had planned on smep this month, but since my cycles have been longer previously we started dtd on day 10... Then I got that bloody positive opk on cd11! I've never had a positive before so I have no idea when I'll ovulate-if it's within hours or days. We'll dtd every day now-using pre-seed, and bum on pillow tactics!!

Sodasoda · 16/11/2015 09:15

Hi everyone, hope you've had lovely weekends. Bleurgh to it being Monday!

magpie sorry AF arrived.

dizzym did you take another ovulation test? Hope you've been enjoying getting it on! Wink

amanda -any more symptoms? How many dpo are you now?

So I've now had 8 days of 'high' fertility on my cbfm and no peak days! Should I be worried? I'm also using internet cheapie sticks as I've had good positives on those previously but negative on those too so fairly sure I haven't missed it. I'm on CD16 now so hoping my peak will hurry up - bit exhausted from DTD now! Blush I've had my usual pre-ov back pain for what seems like ages now!

My temperatures are just all over the place as I tested at about 9.30 over the weekend mornings! Will keep at it but think temping for me might just worry me because now I'm obsessing about whether or not I ovulate. Always something to get worried about in the TTC world.

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/11/2015 09:21

fly I did think it was anovulatory but the last few days have been really weird. I had several days of very wet cm, and three days of very very strong opks, stronger than I've ever had before. The last one being yesterday. Temps were still very low but went up by .4 yesterday and today, which might mean I have ov'd after all at some point in the last few days. What's confusing is that, if I did already ov then why was the opk so strong yesterday?

I've been reading up about pcos and know this can play havoc with opks. Although I'm not entirely convinced I've got all the symptoms, other than the irregular cycles but tbh it's only the last few months that they've really gone awry! Before the summer they were generally between 31-36 days which I class as irregular but my GP seemed to think was normal and not variable enough to indicate a problem. She said to class cycles as irregular they would need to be weeks difference each cycle. But I'm wondering whether pcos can lie dormant for a while then flare up?

I've also considered whether I might have had a chemical last cycle and this is what's causing the delay this month...however I don't remember there being anything unusual about last af. It came on time, usual consistency, nothing odd.

We've been discussing this on the FB group and with a bit of gentle persuasion from certain ladies I've decided to book another appt to see my GP. I can't bury my head in the sand about this much longer!

Sorry your suffering with your egg playing dodgeball too! It really is frustrating business! But couldn't you still smep anyway? It might only mean dtd for an extra few days in your case? Sometimes I think opks do more harm than good! If you hadn't have tested you'd just be dtd as planned without worrying about it!

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/11/2015 09:24

This was Saturdays opk. Have you ever seen a line so dark!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/11/2015 09:29

soda, after reading your post I think we should all ditch the opks! They just cause mindfuck!

Who's with me?! Wink Grin

Fingers crossed amanda - have you been trying long? (Sorry if you've said this earlier - the thread goes fast!!)

Dizzyn - would love to ditch everything and just relax. Apparently that's how you get pregnant after all Wink

I guess I was like everyone else when we started TTC - quite excited, thought it would happen quickly and didn't bother with OPKs etc and then as the months have passed ive started to worry a bit, feel less relaxed, do DTD because we 'should' rather than we want to and use all manner of strange contraptions, usually involving me weeing on various sticks. Sorry for rant. Just ARGH!!!!

DizzyMerry · 16/11/2015 10:57

Wow dizzy that is one strong line! I've never seen that before. Have you managed to dtd? I know you said you were working shifts but can't remember if you decided to carry on dtd this cycle. It's great you're going to see your GP and fx you get this misery resolved. Also re pcos you may not have this as you say you don't have any other symptoms but there's also pco which you may already know about, it's essentially the same as pcos but without the symptoms. I'm not saying it's any of these things as lots of things can cause irregular cycles. You're going in the right direction to find out.

Fx for you Amanda.

Soda I used to think I'd be upduffed after dtd once, wrong!!! It gets frustrating after a while. This is my first cycle of ttc since mmc in September and the sex has been great, doesn't feel like a chore as it did before. I'm just hoping it happens quickly so we don't run out of steam!

DizzyMerry · 16/11/2015 11:00

Oh and today's opk is definitely positive. We'll dtd again tonight and then for the torturous tww!

dizzym that looks good to me! Good luck!

We did dtd yesterday but as it was the first day of higher temp I've probably missed the boat. We couldn't have done it any sooner but I'd written off this cycle anyway. I'm going to do some research on pco. Something is certainly amiss. Have just booked an appointment with my GP for 7th December. Got a bit of a wait but I'm looking forward to getting this sorted out Smile. I just wish I'd done this sooner but to be honest it's taken until this cycle for me to realise that there actually is a problem.

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/11/2015 11:29

Ladies, I think it's time for me to bow out for a little while. This weekend has really messed with my head! I'm not feeling too upset about my situation, but I've spent far too much time thinking about what might be going on, doing tests, staring at my chart etc. I need a break from thinking about ttc! My appointment is booked so now it's a case of sitting tight and waiting for that, so I'm going to have some time out.

Will come back in a few weeks to let you know how my appointment goes.

Good luck to you all in the meantime, I'll look forward to seeing some bfps on my return!

Not a bad idea DizzyN keep us updated with anything that happens but we will keep thinking about you and wishing you luck away from here in the meantime.

So I just had a surprise phone call from my GP, she's spoken with the private consultant I saw previously and he said that the reason I didn't have a full on bleed after the norethisterone was because of the low oestrogen but the fact that I had some brown discharge the second time was to be expected and ok (I wasn't able to get my lining thicker to make it more than that), so basically, they want me to have another lot of norethisterone and time the ending of it with going to see him for a scan and if he's happy I can start the clomid! Just need to find when my appt with him will be as the norethisterone will be timed to that and his secretary doesn't work afternoons Angry. But hopefully tomorrow I'll have a bit more of an idea. Feel much better knowing that the discharge was ok before instead of a bleed. (I know I then have to wait to see if the clomid will work and I'll ovulate but small steps in the right direction are good!)

HopesUpKnickersDown · 16/11/2015 20:26

Welcome back Boris and Lucie! Smile

DizzyN a break can't be a bad thing, ttc can easily become all consuming. Let us know how your appointment goes and good luck!

Good luck to the ovulators, some great looking sticks!

Waves to everyone else Smile

Rainy34 · 16/11/2015 20:46

Dizzy the break from ttc will do you good, Iv just come back from taking some time out and it has really helped calm me and de stress about ttc, I'm hoping the break will help you!!

Rainy34 · 16/11/2015 20:47

Dh did his SA today , got my second appointment with the fertility specialists on Friday hopefully we will get a little further forward ,

Flybynight1 · 16/11/2015 20:55

dizzyn we'll miss you but I think a break and regroup is probably a good thing, until you can speak to a dr and get thing thing figured out... At least for your own sanity!! Don't go far away, and don't forget us!! Smile hope you can get some answers xx
