Thought I'd get this party started. Here's the stats: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sHG9PPsOs0yIqgR-o2UXX_fdlCQXdVNLfmPpNOePPjQ/edit

May this bus yield many BFPs! Hoorah!

Morning ladies. How are you all?

10dpo. Af due today. Didn't arrive overnight but poas and BFN.

Not feeling at all hopeful so just waiting until AF arrives.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 30/10/2015 07:57

Just popping in to say good luck today Sammy
**
I will read back after I've got to work Smile

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 08:09

Happy birthday and good luck to sammy!

Kir sorry about the bfn, you're not out until AF arrives but I hope you get your answer soon. Limbo sucks!

I've got a day off today (the joys of working part time!), still feeling ill so hoping to take it easy and try not to spend my day doing OPKs Wink

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 08:12

magpie I hope you feel better so you can enjoy your day off. Seems to be a pattern of days off and feeling crap which is very unfair! When are you expecting your peak opk? I love seeing the line get stronger!

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 08:12

sammy wishing you a very happy birthday and lots of luck for your scan xx

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 08:34

Kir I've ovulated on CD16 on previous clomid cycles but despite all my combined years of TTC, I never quite got my head around OPKs Blush
There's been no second line at all so far, when should I start seeing one and how far before ovulation do you get a positive? I thought it was 24-36 hours before ovulation but I've not used OPKs for a few years! In fact any OPK tips would be great Grin

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 08:38

I get my positive about 24 hours before I get painful ov cramps. My opk line starts getting darling progressively over about 5 days in the lead up. But you have to make sure you really have strong wee - I don't drink anything for 3 hours beforehand

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 08:38

darker not darling!

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 08:40

Thanks! I remember something about not using FMU? Or is that just for the digital tests?

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 08:48

Yep, not FMU. When I think in getting close I do 3 a day so I don't miss my peak

nervoussam · 30/10/2015 09:11

ha ha eskimo your post last night had be in stitches, so romantic! Sounds like you and your DH have a good laugh though, got to have a sense of humour about these things!

Sorry about the BFN kir, hope you get one or the other asap to avoid the waiting, which is just horrible!

Good luck today sammy fingers crossed you get some definitive news for the weekend.

magpie and kir, why not FMU? I thought that's what the instructions said? (forgive me in my "never-ending waiting to get a cycle for 18 months" ignorance, I don't have that experience yet :( )

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 09:17

I think it's because it's too concentrated so likely to give a false positive? Or maybe it's something to do with hormone levels at different times of day?
I only seem to ever ovulate on clomid so I'm pretty clueless about OPKs too!
Just did one, still no second line.

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/10/2015 09:31

Morning!

kir no news is good news, hopefully you'll be joining the flurry of bfps and be number 3 this week!

Good luck for today sammy

magpie enjoy your day off & keep away from those opks!!

Cd22 here and my temp is still low. I had cramping all day yesterday so it got my hopes up and we dtd for the first time since Saturday, but no sign of ov yet so obviously not. This business is so frustrating. I guess it means I'm not out for the month and we can carry on trying but I keep thinking about what bird was saying about egg viability after cd21 and I also tend to lose interest after about a week anyway. Sigh.

I'm sick of being in the dark about what is causing this irregular ovulation. Is it a hormonal imbalance? Does this mean my eggs are poor quality? My cd21 bloods had good results, but what if I just got lucky that month?

DizzyMerry · 30/10/2015 09:33

Happy Birthday Sammy FlowersCake fx for good news today.

Sorry for BFN kir but you're not out yet. I know it sucks but as AF isn't here there's still a chance.

Magpie keep going with the opks. Hopefully you should see a second line in the next few days.

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/10/2015 09:33

nervous it's because your fmu naturally has a higher level of the hormone (can't remember which one!) which the opks test for, so fmu would give you inaccurate results.

eskimoflo · 30/10/2015 09:34

Morning everyone!

Sammy Happy birthday. Wishing you the best of luck today x x x

Kir Darling OPKs sound so lovely. If only we all got darling OPK lines at the right time, we'd know what we were doing! Sorry for the BFN Flowers

Magpie I'm having the opposite luck to you... I POAS (another CB smiley) yesterday and because of my peak on Tuesday, it reset itself so I got a blank circle again and then did another this morning and it went straight back to peak! So I have no idea what's going on... unless my surge has lasted 3+ days! Confused Just keep shagging, shagging...

Nervous As I understand it, the most tests don't advise using FMU as a surge generally happens in the afternoon, so they would miss it if you tested in the morning. This doesn't apply to the CB smiley digi ones, as they test for TWO things; an oestrogen surge and the LH surge. They say to use FMU until the oestrogen surge is detected and then, once it is, they give you a flashing smiley face. After that, you can test at any time in the day in order to catch the LH surge and get the 'peak' static smiley. It's so confusing isn't it?! I've had a peak smiley on Tuesday and a peak this morning, so I really have no idea what's going on! I shouldn't really have carried on testing after Tuesday's result, but I can't resist POAS! x x

Luteinising hormone! That's the one......!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/10/2015 09:35

Oh happy birthday too sammy! Have a fab day! Cake

nervoussam · 30/10/2015 09:43

Thanks for the info everyone, I will take note for when I finally can start peeing for something other than "just in case"! Despite all the complications, I will be reassured to even be at the stage when I can be looking out for smilies and the like.

Happy birthday too Sammy!

GlitteryClit · 30/10/2015 09:44

Hi ladies

Sorry I've not posted for a few days. Hope everyone is well. Flowers

I got my BFP on Friday and have since been off work with sickness and dizziness. Good old hormones! Confused

Congratulations beaut! You must be a week behind me. Although I'm sure I'm a week in front of myself as clear blues are already 3+. Unless I have two in there!! Shock

Didn't do anything different to other months. Other than taking metformin for mild pcos. My LP was always 10-11 days. 27 day cycle and OV on cd18. But I think I could've OV'd earlier....

eskimoflo · 30/10/2015 09:45

(Relative) Newbies... The Bumsnetters have a secret FB group. There are about 30 if us on there. If you would like to be a part of it, send me a PM. it would mean that you have to make 'friends' with me on there, but it's all good fun and it makes for a tighter community Grin Magpie flyby and nervous, you've been with us for a while now. The last person we had join was Beaut and that was aaages ago! You don't have to, of course, there are Bumsnetters who aren't on there, but it would be lovely to have you x x

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 09:59

Congratulations glittery! Great news! Thanks

Thanks eskimo, I've sent you a PM x

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 30/10/2015 10:00

Thank you so much for all the congratulations everyone.

Fifi still trembling. It just doesn't feel real. I can't stop knicker checking.Grin

DizzyM yay for Afs arrival. Hopefully it's over with quick so you can get on with dtd.

Magpie glad Af has gone for you. Happy opking.

Fly I sent a picture of pumpkins saying we are adding another pumpkin to our patch. An idea I borrowed from another metres. He didn't get it so I showed him the test. He held on to it pretty much all night. Despite me saying "you know I peed on that right" . He is over the moon. Due date is the day before his birthday.

Bean yes I've always had a short luteal phase. That's why I tried SI but it made me too grumpy and spotty. So this month I didn't use it.

Kir I'm shaking my Pom poms at you and keeping everything crossed for your BFP.

Nervous cb opks tell you to use Fmu but with pretty much all other brands they tell you not to use Fmu.

Speaking of opks perhaps I should get rid of my stash. I have a unopened load and then a half pack from Amazon. Does anyone want them?? Maybe just whoever posts first so it's fair. Then just inbox me your address on here or fb.

Sammy have a wonderful birthday. I hope you get the news you want today xx
