We have been so busy chatting I've started a new thread. Welcome all 10+ ladies. Hope we all have some luck on this thread.

The pharmacy cant actualy get me the drugs for tomorrow and af really is here. Looks like I'm putting the Czech Republic on hold for another month.

Trixietwenty16 · 26/01/2016 13:59

I'm sorry Boris, that really sucks Flowers

BorisIsBack · 26/01/2016 14:06

My work news system has a headline glaring at me today
'Fertility experts identify genetic pattern in womb linked to ivf failures'
Is it to early to go home and drink?

MPP81 · 26/01/2016 14:29

I'm sorry to hear that Boris. Hope you're OK. And of course it's not too early to go home and drink! Wink

Trixietwenty16 · 26/01/2016 14:31

Urgh, I just looked that up. Depressing.
No, I think I'll join you.

lucieloos · 26/01/2016 16:34

Boris, sorry to hear af is messing you about. Which pharmacy did you try for the drugs? The one in Czech can have them delivered in less than 24 hours if they have what you need in stock. There is also one in London that does next day delivery.

Trixie, I understand now. So you do have slightly raised nk cells and this is why he wants to do more tests. I've heard of the TH1:TH2 and I think the treatment is intralipids if it is raised?

Had my NHS appt and it all went really well. We saw a staff nurse who was lovely and went through everything with us. Lots of filling in forms and had some more bloods done for STIs. We could have started the end of this week if we wanted to but it's too close to my last treatment and we are going away mid Feb for a few days so I asked to start on the next one which will be around 25th Feb. All I need to do now is ring up when af arrives and they will get me in for a baseline scan and if that's all ok I am good to start. She said they will give me all the drugs on the day. She said they are happy for us to take whatever we want to blast if we want to which is good as I thought they would probably make us have a 3 day transfer if we only have a couple. Looking forward to getting going now. Although I really need to get out to Czech and have a hysteroscopy before it starts as I want to check everything's ok in the womb before putting any precious embryos in there. It's a bit of a drag having to go back again so soon but hopefully will be worth it. Looking forward to getting started again now!

lucie really glad your nhs cycle sounds so promising. I am sure it will be worth going back to Czech for the test.

I tried pharmacology, they said they could get drugs to me in 48 hours which is too slow. ali's in London need to order in the Gonal f drugs but they could have them in stock tomorrow afternoon, they could then only do next day delivery. But if I go to London tomorrow and collect them it could work I'm contemplating doing this and calling in sick but this could jeapordise my job if caught.

BorisIsBack · 26/01/2016 17:04

Pharmacology? Pharmawel in Brno. Damn auto correct

BorisIsBack · 26/01/2016 17:05

Hope that makes some sense. It did when I typed it, less so when I read it back :)

lucieloos · 26/01/2016 17:10

Boris, yes Pharmawell in Czech and Ali's in London are the ones I was going to suggest. They will cost quite a bit more in Ali's but I guess you don't have much choice. How far away from London do you live? I would be very tempted to pull a sickie as well. Is it just Gonal F you are going to be on? How much do you have to do each day?

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 26/01/2016 17:52

I'm on 200 whats it's if Gonal f. I'm about 1 hour 30 from where Ali's is based in East london. Some of me thinks just go, get the drugs. Then I also think this last cycle has messed with my head and I should ensure I have a normal cycle then go for ivf. My hormones are a bit shot.

lucieloos · 26/01/2016 18:08

Oh that's not too far then. I think if it were me I would probably go but you don't want to be all stressed out either so just depends how you feel about it all really.

Trixietwenty16 · 26/01/2016 18:27

Great that your appointment went well Lucie, all sounds really good!

Could you sleep on it Boris and see how you feel in the morning.

loopylou1984 · 26/01/2016 18:34

Boris - for a medicated cycle I don't think it matters if it is off the back of a funky cycle. My natural FET didn't work out straight off the back of my abandoned medicated FET as hormones were all over the place, but you're body won't be having a natural reaction to .... Well whatever this was! I hope this makes sense, really struggling to write what I mean! Lol. Xx

loopylou1984 · 26/01/2016 22:29

Lucie - your NHS consult sounds great, I have mine on the 23rd, so fingers crossed that goes as smoothly!

I'm nearing appointment times now, it's seems a life time ago that we had the blast transferred, but was only 2 months ago!
I have a private nurse consultation on the 3rd (just because I haven't had one in ages!), then we go on holiday. Then NHS consultation on 23rd, about the same time as af will be due (I hope), then off we go. Kinda scared about starting it all again :(. Xx

lucieloos · 26/01/2016 22:35

Oh that's brilliant Sammy I didn't realise it was so soon. Is the plan to still transfer another frostie and then a fresh round on the NHS if that doesn't work?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 27/01/2016 06:27

Yeah that's right, private FET first. Medicated again I think, at least partly, to try and build my lining up a bit more. Xx

lucieloos · 27/01/2016 06:51

All sounds very positive and you have a good few options there! How many attempts do you get on the NHS and are you allowed to tell them about your private treatment without it affecting it?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 27/01/2016 08:35

Yeah it's the same clinic so they'll know anyway, but yes, after this FET we are still eligible for our full NHS entitlement of one fresh two frozen, so no stress there.

I'm not nervous about the treatment, (although slightly concerned about getting ill again from the hormones), it's the outcome I'm worried about. What if it never works? Xx

Trixietwenty16 · 27/01/2016 10:11

Exciting that things are happening with you soon Sammy. I feel the same way, a bit nervous about OHSS but majorly worried about coping with another BFN and plagued with the what if it never works thoughts the last few days. I think we just have to put that to one side though and concentrate on our next cycles, there is every chance that they will work.

ps Lucie, meant to say last night, I'm not sure about the treatment re TH1:TH2, I think it's more to find out about what is going on with my NK cells and I guess the results could affect dose/timings. Still pretty confused but hoping to book in for the test on the 8th and then will see what the results are.

lucieloos · 27/01/2016 11:02

Oh ok didn't realise it was at the same clinic Sammy! Well at least you get plenty of blasts so you can have several attempts and try different things so that's a positive.

I've checked with a couple of doctors and for my age out of the 4 blasts we have they would expect 1 or possibly 2 to be normal so just goes to show it could take a good few attempts to get to that one. If I transferred them all individually we might not get to the good one until the last go and so would have had 3 failed transfers. I think it's just a numbers game with this thing and you have to stick with it and obviously get lining and stuff at its optimum too. We will get there though.

Trixie, sounds like the test is worth doing to find out what's going on in there and hopefully give you some peace of mind.

Boris, what did you decide to do?

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 27/01/2016 18:47

Sammy and Trixie keep the faith, it's nerve wracking but you are both doing really sensible things to get your babies. You both have so much knowledge, knowledge is ultimately power.

I decided not to go to London, had a difficult discussion with DH last night about it all. I ended up feeling so glum I thought we should take another cycle and not rush this. He's really busy with work and has lots on his plate. He can't really take in all that I need him to at the moment, but next month should be better and easier. I need his full support.

BorisIsBack · 27/01/2016 18:50

Oh and sammy and lucie did you hear that 'purdie' had a baby boy the other night? All seem really healthy and happy.

loopylou1984 · 27/01/2016 19:00

Boris - well done on making a decision. For what it's worth I think that's the right choice, I think you would have been so stressed if you had had to rush about.

Oh Purdie! Please tell her congratulations from me. I really miss her over on the bumsnet thread. Do you know what she has named him? Hope little Nancy is enjoying being a big sister.

I just feel so sad today, I think af must be onher way. I nearly burst in to tears at work for no real reason today. Xx

BorisIsBack · 27/01/2016 19:17

Her boy is called [name removed by MNHQ at posters request] (hope that's ok to put it on here, might report this post to MN soon and ask them to delete it) He looks gorgeous.

Sorry you are feeling down today. hormones are crap to us. Hope this evening leave you feeling happier.
