Oh hopes so sorry. Flowers

Hairstylisttoboris · 11/10/2015 13:10

bean do you want to PM me your real name (sorry I forgot) and let me know how I can identify you on facebook and I'll add you? X

nightandthelight · 11/10/2015 13:33

So sorry hope Flowers

Many electronic kisses to Sammy's fur baby!

Nomio23 · 11/10/2015 13:49

Frog, I personally don’t think that your weight is the issue. You are not that big, plus if all your tests have come back OK, that suggests that there is no problem. Being overweight can often cause hormonal changes which make it hard to get PG, but that clearly isn’t the case with you. I think the issue is that your DH is often away around OV time. Keep going, lovely & you will get there.

Hopes, I am so sorry to hear that. You must be absolutely crushed after such a horrible experience. I don’t want to sound heartless, but on the bright side, at least you know you can get pregnant. I hope the next one will be nice and sticky for you.

Flyby, I like your thinking. Maybe teenage sex isn’t so bad!

Welcome Mpeg. It is lovely to have this bus so full again.

Sammy, that sound terrifying & just what you don’t need right now. I hope your little pooch is back to full health again soon.

Lolly, I think it doubtful that you would still be getting BFNs if you were PG, but clearly something weird is going on. I hope you get an answer soon.

CD14 for me. I should OV in the next day or two, but so far my OPKs are only showing really faint lines. I hope they pick up soon.

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/10/2015 16:36

Good luck for this cycle nomio

hopes I'm sorry for the cp. Although it didn't stick around, you're obviously doing something right. FX the next one is your baby.

If you ask me I think it's a bit of a cop out for GP's to blame someone's weight for causing issues with ttc. Telling someone to lose weight gets rid of them for a little while. I was at DSS's footie practice yesterday and there was this lady there who was grossly overweight (easily size 20) and had a toddler (looked like hers) with her. She got pregnant.........

Beansprout30 · 11/10/2015 17:02

I agree with your about doctors fobbing people off with the weight issue. I know two couples where both partners are overweight, I feel mean saying this but both clearly obese and both couples have had two children and judging by the age gaps of the kids, had no major problems conceiving.

Thanks boris I will message you

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/10/2015 18:20

Thanks ladies, I'll keep at it! And I will definitely try and post more rather than just lurking!

Nomio you're right, I'm half way there but I'm convinced it's my short LP fucking everything up.

Talking of slimming, I've joined Slimming World and lost 5.5lbs in my first week..determined to get my fat arse in shape!..and my bmi down!

Nomio23 · 11/10/2015 20:22

Wow, that is really good Beaut. I am going to try Slim Fast for a couple of weeks, as I have piled weight on lately & don't like it.

My OPK is still barely showing a line. I am getting worried that maybe I OVd early & have missed it. Sad

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/10/2015 20:48

I've been thinking about a detox, I've been eating so much gluten recently and I need a clean break to give my digestive system some respite! Does anyone know of any decent detox plans?

hopes, I think it was aux/aurora who had a really short LP and managed to get pg. can't remember what she did though, maybe prog?

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/10/2015 21:04

DizzyN I wouldn't last 5 minutes on a detox plan so unfortunately I don't have any experience or pearls of wisdom to share.

I'm taking 100mg of progesterone a day, would welcome any other suggestions anyone might have!

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/10/2015 21:07

Nomio I do hope you haven't missed OV, what CD are you on?

Nomio23 · 11/10/2015 22:13

CD15, Hopes. I am wondering if it has been delayed a bit due to stress. Has the progesterone helped with your LP at all? I found it brilliant, but have run out.

DizzyN, I have never done a detox either. I need real food!

DizzyNorthernBird · 12/10/2015 08:27

Me too nomio but it's real food that got me into this mess in the first place!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 12/10/2015 09:40

I've lost a complete section on here for some reason it's showing me some of yesterday's posts and then skips back to 12/09 so sorry to anyone I'm not replying too

Hopes so sorry to hear that. Don't worry about age though. Our friend had her first at 39 & they are ttc #2 now. It seems to be taking longer than their first & she is 40 now. It doesn't stop them wanting to try for 3 though. Well done on the weight loss. Sometimes it's just good to focus on something else.

Bean keep us updated about acupuncture. It's something I've been thinking about trying. I've tried pretty much everything else.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 12/10/2015 10:17

Nomio I'm sure it's going to be a late OV, fingers crossed for you! The earliest I have OV'd is CD14 and the latest CD18...so quite a difference! The progesterone has given me an extra day from a 9 day LP to 10 days.. that day could make all the difference so I'm keeping going with it!

Thanks Beaut, I know many people manage to conceive way past 37, I've just never felt so aware of my ageing! Good luck to your friends, I hope they manage to get the 3 they are hoping for!

I've got a poorly one today so an unexpected day off cuddling on the sofa with cartoons...amen to that!!

Nomio23 · 12/10/2015 12:07

Thanks, Hopes. I will post my daily OPK update later!

You are not alone with your age worries. I am 37 & trying for number one. It really worries me, as I want at least two ideally.

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/10/2015 12:21

To echo nomio I also have age worries. We also want 2 children. I'm 37 and DH is 38. every month feels like my dreams slip further but the reality is many women get pregnant into their 40s now it should be possible to conceive many children....

chopsface · 12/10/2015 15:04

I have a friend who had her 2 children at 38 and 40. Plus there are 2 ladies who are 39 and 40 and preg with their first at my antenatal. Don't lose hope ladies x

HopesUpKnickersDown · 12/10/2015 15:26

Nomio and Boris, I m sure we'll get to destination BFP, it just might take us longer than some! I still act and feel I did 10 years ago in body and mind, obviously it's just my ovaries who didn't get the memo!

Thanks Chops Smile

How's the Opk looking today Nomio?

Nomio23 · 12/10/2015 16:12

I just did it & it is positive! I am really surprised because mine normally gradually get darker, but this month I have had nothing, then bam! Luckily we have DTD the last two days, so will go for it again today & tomorrow, then start imagining symptoms!

I love all these stories of older women having babies, they reassure me that I am not past it yet!

Moomin37 · 12/10/2015 16:30

Yay Nomino Smile

FuzzyOwl · 12/10/2015 18:00

I had my first baby at 36. Smile Positive OPK for me today so fingers crossed for this month.

loopylou1984 · 12/10/2015 19:32

Nomio - hooray! Go go go!

Af arrived for me on Sunday (did I already update that?) and have a scan booked in for Thursday with a look to have transfer at ovulation... So about 12 days then! Eek! Xx

HopesUpKnickersDown · 12/10/2015 19:49

Hooray, go Nomio!!!

Thanks Fuzzy, it's good to have some reassurance!

How exciting Sammy, good luck!! Smile

Nomio23 · 12/10/2015 20:32

Oooh, Sammy, that is so exciting!

Good luck, Fuzzy! We are cycle twins. Smile
