Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

That's really sucky kitten hugs, my lovely xx just cos you have to see the doc don't fear the worst - my docs won't give any results at all over the phone, all done via appointments.
DBAFD 6 but I feel like she's coming sooner... cramping today, back ache, weirdly sore foof (like when you DTD a bit too vigorously or over wipe) even felt like I was bleeding earlier but just very watery CM... still got excess saliva and peeing - I'm just a fluid factory!!!

kitten welcome! I'm in nearly the exact same situation as you, but my little'un (son) is 8. I'm 38, been TTC since around the Summer last year, although I was trying to be relaxed about it, now it's been a while, I'm beginning to worry. Although I'm just trying to keep the faith that it will happen, it just might take a little longer than before...

Welcome Emz fingers crossed for you that you are lucky first time around, but if not, we're all here for you with lots of chocolate and support!

bobbins I'm so sorry you're nervous about having your bloods. Try to turn the situation on it's head, and look at it from a different perspective. If you can, see it as a positive step towards you getting pregnant. In the book I'm reading (The Baby Making Bible), she really reinforces how positive visualization can be! She encourages you to visualize yourself making lovely ripe fertile eggs, fertilization, implantation etc... And says it can make a big difference!! I'm trying that now, it helps to feel more positive.

kitten I'm sorry too that you have to wait so long for your bloods results. I hope you can get through the next few days with lots of love and support from your partner. And keep busy with friends and family. Hugs!

Prty - am crossing my fingers for you that this cycles a good'un!!

Ellamorella · 03/09/2015 14:00

Ack! Sorry, long message again!

Annie2311 · 03/09/2015 14:17

So glad you had a good experience shary! Sounds like the person you saw understands and is really on your side - makes the world of difference hey?

Kitten, that is really frustrating, have you got any nice weekend plans to distract you while you wait?

Prty, the countdown continues right? While you contain the fountain of bodily fluids I have sore boobs over here (typical pre AF for me recently). OH keeps telling me they look massive (not possible with my humble rack!) and trying to cop a feel - not welcome thank you!

tay13 · 03/09/2015 14:31

Hi everyone! Hoping it's ok for me to join your chit chat - just read this post and found it really refreshing that there are others equally frustrated with TTC
I'm 27 TTC #2 (lost #1 last December after a cord accident in the womb at 21 weeks) DH is away training. TTC#1 took 15 months, since been diagnosed with PCOS and I have RA - due to undergo a total knee replacement in 8 weeks - I should be distracted by all thats going on but all I can think about is babies!

MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 14:38

Thank you everyone - you're all so lovely! Xx
prty - the fluid could be good signs!! Keeping fingers crossed for you.
Thanks ella - yes we're in similar situations then, good to know - keeping the faith is a good idea. Thanks as well for your lovely words - dh thinks it'll be something they can sort out for me - let's hope so.
annie - it's my birthday this weekend so hopefully a good distraction- dh and ds will make sure I have a good one with lots of CakeWine. Weirdly enough I get sore boobs pre af too - I've got it at the moment - my nipples stick out loads too Blush - copping a feel definitely not welcome from dh! Hope it's a good sign for you though!

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 15:57

I wish my bloody boobs would get sore!!! Sick of prodding them to check lol!!
Welcome tay embrace the craziness, we are here to help :)

When this crazy journey of TTC started I couldn't stop taking tests and now I'm putting it off!!?? AF is now 5 days late and I'm dreading taking a test incase it's a BFN! Confused all ive had up to now is brown discharge/blood but not enough to wear a pad. Just when I wipe mostly. Just think I will be so gutted and very confused if I test and its negative :-(

Fingers crossed kitten that the results are nothing to worry about. Big hugs to you guys that are having a bad day x

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 17:25

How long has the spotting been going on for life?
I was like that last cycle, so eager to POAS even before AF was due but then terrified when she was late!!
We are a here for you whatever you choose to do, lovely xx

OP posts:
LifeIsGood14 · 03/09/2015 17:49

Thank you prty the spotting started Sunday/Monday.. It's not been much at all. And it's brown. I will probably test in the morning as DH is working away this weekend. Will keep u posted xx

MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 18:12

Hi tay - so sorry to hear about dc 1, how awful that must have for you Flowers. I've just joined here and everyone is so lovely so I'm sure you'll find the support you need here.
life - thank you for your kind words. Do you normally spot? Fingers crossed for you. Yes keep us posted about your testing, excited for you! X

neetie1 · 03/09/2015 18:31

Hey guys...urgh being back at school sucks...
Anyways am tempted not to bother with OPK this month and just see what happens, just need to make sure he stays active every few days I guess...feeling a little blurgh about it all at the mo

LifeIsGood14 · 03/09/2015 18:40

No I don't kitty :-/ thank you. :-) knowing me AF will arrive tonight now I've said I will test in the morning!!

Ow big hugs for you neetie. But good luck for this month and good for you taking a more relaxed approach. Xx

SharyBobbins · 03/09/2015 18:42

Called the doctors this evening and the bloody phone lines were down!! Typical!

tay13 · 03/09/2015 18:42

Thanks prty for the welcome- I'm def glad of more craziness Smile
Thanks also mrskitten it was tough but after being told we'd never have kids due to my health and meds I need for life- but getting pregnant proved it was possible - hoping for a less active one next time (DH is an awesome at tying knots so clearly DD1 would have been the same!) Trying not to count too much this month as had a steroid shot last month and that can affect AF. Everyone I know seems to be pregnant at the moment and they poke digs in my direction... Things will hopefully get more positive for the lot of us soon Smile

Emzlou15 · 03/09/2015 18:50

Lol prty, I feel the same. I woke up this morning and had to wipe a tonne of drool off my face (always sexy) and then earlier today I needed to pee, so went upstairs went to the bathroom looked down at my pants and they were wet? Not soaked but a damp patch the size of a kiwi..!? I wasn't desperate for the loo and I don't think it was pee..? Wtf is going on D: My body is leaking.....

Neetie I know how you feel, I've taken several OPKs throught this cycle always coming back negative. It gets too disheartening.

Hi tay, sorry to hear about DC 1, wishing you all the luck for TTC#2!

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 19:11

(hands emz a can of expanding foam) I've got through 6 cabs but I just can't stop exuding liquids!!! Bloody weird, isn't it?!
life FX'd for that FMU!
Glad to hear you are taking a more relaxed approach neetie I hate OPKs! Happy humping!
If it's happened once tay there's every chance it will happen again, staybpositive, my love x
In other symptom spotting craziness my lower back is aching beyond belief and my face has exploded in spots :/ even OH asked when the soonest I could test! If I'm not pregnant then I'm in fit the worst period ever!!

Stripes1983 · 03/09/2015 21:39

Evening all! Been a crazy day so only just been able to check up on how y'all doing ! prty - fx the fluids are a positive sign ! neetie sending hugs lovely xx welcome to the newbies ! shary I'll prob be the same as you when I go for my bloods but at the minute I'm feeling positive that at least someone is listening to me and we both seem to be getting good support and that can only be a good thing kittens try not to worry too much, my Dr said she would want to see me anyway when results come in as if they are low we may need to do again due to my crazy cycle so it might not be bad news and life fx to you too !! Sorry I'm sure I've prob missed someone out but hello if I have ! :)

SharyBobbins · 03/09/2015 21:46

Kitten- Stripes post (hi Stripes!) just reminded me, when my GP arranged for me to have bloods he said "we'll talk again after they are done" so I expect I'll get called in too. It's probably just to do policy.

Just so you all know I've officially lost the plot! Just watched Location Location Location and the house buyer was rabbiting on about needing 3 bedrooms for when she has babies (she didn't have kids and wasn't pregnant). I ended up shouting at the TV "you think getting pregnant is soooo bloody simple don't you!! You don't have a clue woman!!". OH looked scared lol!

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 21:56

Hahahahaha oh shary I would have done exactly the same!! 'Yeah, just pop some kids out when you fancy it, easy as that, you delusional normal person!!'
I've also lost the plot... become convinced that my cat thinks I'm pregnant :/ he's normally sociable but always chooses to sit/sleep on the spare bed or our sofa - the last 3 nights he's curled up on my lap, he never does this. And it's only been me, he won't sit anywhere near OH... bit weird...

OP posts:
MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 22:01

Thank you stripes and shary - I don't feel too bad about it now, yes hopefully it's just what they do after such tests. Thank god I found you lot to keep me sane Grin (ish)!!
prty - I love stuff like that - cats do 'know' you know! When are you poas?

MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 22:04

Oh and shary I very often find myself shouting at the TV when stupid comments are made like that - people don't have a clue about this making babies lark and how bloody difficult it can be!! I hate it when they just presume. My dh's cousin has announced to the family that she is going to have a baby with her new partner next year - I feel like shouting 'oh really?? Cause it's that easy isn't it?!!'

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 22:05

Glad you're feeling a bit more at ease kitten :)
Not sure... I'm still 6 days off AF being due, got really eager last month and a teeny bit obsessed with testing so trying to remain calm this cycle!

OP posts:
MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 22:28

Exciting prty !! I'm the queen of obsessive testing so totally understand! Every month I tell myself not to bother until af late but as it gets closer i act like some kind of testing lunatic Blush. I admire anyone who stays calm as I can't!

pinky17 · 03/09/2015 22:32

Still lurking (peeps up from behind the sofa and offers maltesers, toblerones, choc oranges and doritos - take your pick!)

Prty I had to comment, your symptoms sound just like mine before bfp! My back was, and still is so painful! Plus I literally dribbled down my top when I went to speak to OH a few days ago! Gross! Thankfully he didn't notice! I didn't have sore boobs either, they just started feeling very full! I often get a couple of spots before AF but last week my face erupted! I'm practically troweling on foundation and concealer!

Everything crossed for you, when are you testing?

Lots of love to everyone, it will happen eventually. Those seeing Docs, it's one step closer, they're there to help you. Must be daunting but i'm sure they'll support you and answer all your questions/worries.

(Slopes back behind the sofa cushions with and an alcohol free koperberg!) Xxx
