Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Holla ladies! We made it! Can'the believe how many posts there are here already!

So, af was due Saturday but still no sign and still bfn..... pfft! Had our first night out on the town since DD was born nearly 2 years ago. I did divulge in a few amaretto and cokes but only 6! OH on the other hand got absolutely gazeboed and slept on the sofa out of my sight! All fine today however I wish af would get a bloody wiggle on so can start the fun and games all over again! Anyone due right about now? My cycles are ever changing at the moment!

Welcome newbies, the most fun and supportive thread out there!

Currently eating last night's pizza and watching Shaun the Sheep toddler life !!!

MummyBex1985 · 31/08/2015 15:05

Pirsy I think I've come to the conclusion that there's no such thing as an accident, it's too bloody difficult lol!

gemgems2214 · 31/08/2015 15:18

I don't know when I ovulated. I hate a gynaecology appointment on 11th August and he did an internal and ordered blood :- testosterone, fsh, lh I think?? Anyway, they showed I had ovulated and my testosterone slightly high but not concerning. Definitely ovulated as I went to my GP last Thursday for the results and he said I should expect my period in a round a week.. unsure what my cycles are as having pcos and being on implant then the pill then nothing. I have pregnancy symptoms, sore breasts cramps etc but looking at the calendar I am around 3 or 4 days late for a period? I thought you had to have a period if you had ovulated? I'm just so confused. I'll have to nip back and see him tomorrow see what he says. Nightmare.

Lou13e · 31/08/2015 15:28

Yo yo yo foof friends! Found you again but who left one malteaser in the bottom of the bag?!

Great to see lots of new people :-)

About me: I'm 31, ttc #1, on cycle 2 and currently about 10 days post ovulation and trying so hard not to poas.

As for my dinner.. I had a re heated roast beef dinner at 3am (was working nights) was.. Average and the Yorkie was soggy!

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 15:31

Glad you got to the thread safely -ella think you mean OPK rather than PCOS :) I think temping is the only sure fire way to know but feel like that's a slippery slope considering how I got with OPK!
Welcome pirsy it could still be a little early, personally I would sit tight until AF is due then test again if no sign. Also, I know what you mean - if one more pregnancy announcement is followed up by 'we weren't even trying' I'm gonna scream!!
Sorry to hear of the BFN moo (throws chocolate in your direction) onwards to the next cycle
gem when's AF due? You could still have some residual pill hormones flying around... could be too early for a test... could just be a slightly longer cycle

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 15:36

Woah! Didn't see the next page of posts lol
pinky 'gazeboed' pahahahahaha!! Bloody body messing you about... hopefully your BFP or AF pop up soon!
lou that was me, of course... can I interest you in a nice juicy apple instead?

gemgems2214 · 31/08/2015 15:46

I'm thinking it was due last Tuesday or Thursday?! I don't know.. its been on or around the 11th since coming off the pill in may.. but blood test on the 15th this month says I have ovulated.. so could be a longer cycle ?!

Stripes1983 · 31/08/2015 15:50

Wow do many posts to catch up on ! Update from me - my nan is out of hospital so that's good and me and OH are back on speaking terms - thankfully I'm on AF so didn't miss out on any crucial DTD whilst sulky sulkison made an appearance :) I'm currently having a glass of wine whilst waiting for my chicken dinner to cook ! Fx for those getting ready to POAS this week ! Prty - when are you due ?

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 15:56

Good news re: nan stripes plus OH finally getting the memo!!
I'm due around 9th Sept but that's based on my randomly averages out by the app to a 33 day cycle! If we are going by CM then I'm probably due around 6th Sept... symptomless today (sigh)
No idea what's for dinner, had guests all morning and for lunch, I'm wiped so it might be takeaway

I feel your pain with your cycles - not got a scooby what's going on with mine , keeping everything crossed for you Hun - the founding member of the foofs !:)

SharyBobbins · 31/08/2015 16:11

Ooh all this talk of food is making me hungry!! Like Pinky I had left over pizza for dinner. Healthy eating starts tomorrow...ehem....(kidding myself)....

Currently doing my online food shop. Added grapefruit juice because I read somewhere (not on this thread I don't think but I could be wrong) that it increases CM. Anyone know any fertility boosting foods I can throw in my basket along with the chocolate, crisps, cake....!!

pinky17 · 31/08/2015 16:25

[Bobbins] your shopping list strikingly resembles mine! I just believe all things 'good' will help. Plenty of fruit and veg - basically nothing nice! [Chops up boring salad for work tomorrow]

I'm starting to think about OPKs or temping if it doesn't happen next cycle, I think i'll end up driving myself mad with it though. Might purchase some cheapy OV tests and see how it goes. If I go too crazy I won't do it again!

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 16:32

That's exactly what I did pinky job lot from eBay but I was going insane so stopped them, might be a vicious cycle though - didn't wanna pay a lot cos not sure they would work/help but maybe cos they were cheap they didn't work and I got cray cray on them and stopped :/

shary I compiled a list of fertility boosting foods from various sources which I now keep on my iPad ;)

My diet mainly consists of....

Blueberries
Kale
Red peppers
Fish
Spinach
Potatoes
Broccoli
Beef
Prawns
Yogurt
Raspberries
Olive oil
Orange juice
Eggs
Asparagus
Salmon
Peas
Mangoes

In no particular order as I just write them down when I come across them lol.

Stripes1983 · 31/08/2015 16:58

Ditto Prty - brought Amazon cheapies and thought the same , although my friend - who is 20wks pg used them and they worked for her but maybe I /we got a bad batch lol , I've still got a lots left and even though I threw my toys out the pram and said I'm not using them I know I'll hear the call of the OPK's " come on pee on me" when I'm around fertile time !

pinky17 · 31/08/2015 17:03

That's just it Prty I can imagine a negative OV test is just as bad as a negative pregnancy test! I'll give it some thought if still bfn after next cycle.

Starting to get a bit of af cramping (think that must be what it is!), back ache from making too many shapes on the dance floor last night and severe irritability (could be af or tiredness!) DD was at my mum's for the night and I actually had less sleep than when she's at home!

SharyBobbins · 31/08/2015 17:10

Oooh thanks for sharing Bex! xx

Lou13e · 31/08/2015 17:20

Shray - apparently a slice of fresh pineapple (including the core) once a day for first 5 days after ovulation helps implantation but don't have pineapple at all after that

Lou13e · 31/08/2015 17:29

Please can someone shout at me and stop me from thinking of doing a hpt - it's too early!!

Also, my other half is at work, he wants to do the test together, am I really selfish at wanting to test by myself? I just don't want the added pressure as scared it'll be negative. What does everyone else do? X

Pirsy1 · 31/08/2015 17:44

Step away from the tests Lou! I've had a negative at 10 dpo today - ruined my bank holiday! Wait till tomorrow at least and do it on FMU. I do my tests on my own - husband has never asked to do it with me, don't think he really pays that much attention to know when I should be testing etc. I think it's quite sweet that he wants to do it with you and would be lovely if you got a positive together :) but can see how you'd feel under pressure too!

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 18:56

pinky everyone's different but each BFN OPK was like a giant kick in the foof to me.
lou this is an intervention!! Put the sticks down and flush that pee before you're tempted to scoop it out!! I always test when OH is home, we never formally agreed it but I feel like I'm depriving him if he's not around and I know he would be gutted if we didn't find out together.

MummyBex1985 · 31/08/2015 19:02

So we got back from our holiday yesterday... And just booked a last minute trip to Florida, just DH and me! No better cure for the holiday blues!

Leaving three weeks on Saturday, don't think there's any chance I'll be PG so I'm just going to relax and enjoy the holiday planning to take my mind off TTC.

Exciting Grin

themoo · 31/08/2015 20:33

Evenin all.
I took my mind off my bfn by painting two ceilings, one and a half walls and a seemingly endless amount of filling and sanding.
BLT and chips tonight, and a big glassowine. Feeling a bit happier.

themoo · 31/08/2015 20:34

Ooh Bex I'm envious! Haven't had a holiday in years - and now we've just bought a house that needs a lot of work, so none on the horizon either!

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 21:05

Not sure if it's a symptom or just a sign of a busy day hosting but I'm absolutely shattered - like I can't even keep my eyes open. Was up early though and had guests... idk
Dinner tonight was takeaway - garlic bread with cheese
