1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So I got my results back from the doc. All is 'normal'. Although that's reassuring, it still doesn't explain the reason for mid cycle spotting, 3 weeks of cramping and a 10 day scanty period!! Oh well, mustn't grumble.

So I did my first cheap Ov strip test today. I saw the faintest of faintest lines. Didn't look like evap, from what I Googled. I'm on CD 14 according to Ovia and still 5 days until fertile window. For those who have used the cheapies before, do I just keep testing every day now? If so, for how long? Did any of you have faint lines that got stronger later? Does it matter what time of day?

Sorry for all the questions!! DTD anyway last night even though I've technically just finished AF a couple of days ago. Always worth getting an early one in, I suppose!

aindy the cheap OPKs I used the line had to be as strong or stronger than the control line - some days I got nothing, some days I got a faint line, no rhyme or reason to strength of line vs nothing at all :/
Keep testing every day until you get a positive result or until you think you're out of your fertile window or until they drive you insane age you throw them out of the window... last one just me then?

Thanks Prty. That's actually really helpful. I did wonder why the control lines on Ov strips are considerably lighter than the cheap Pg control lines! Thought it just hadn't worked properly.

Yeah defo only using them this cycle, if everything is supposedly 'normal'. Last thing I want is to think I'm not ovulating!!

Depressing weekend ahead - just wiped and there's a pinkish/brown tinge... looks like I'm out :(

Glad your results were ok aindy- can't offer any advice on OPKs, yet to enter that realm so keen to see how you find it. Might need to have a try next month.

Thanks so much for all of your kind words, they helped me out of a pretty blue place this morning. Am feeling much better and have just distracted myself by deciding to cook really time consuming new things for mates who're coming over for dinner this eve.

Aindy glad your results were okay! My OPKs are like Prty's- the test line has to be as strong as or stronger than the control line. I've tested everyday this cycle using them because I'm an absolute freak for the benefit of science (ha!). When I got my positive OPK the test line appeared a lot quicker than usual and was stronger than the control line. I don't think they gradually got darker but there were some days when they were darker than others. Still using them now even though I'm apparently 7dpo! Not sure what I'm trying to achieve by doing that but it makes me feel like I'm doing something!

No cramps like I normally have the day before and of AF, back still killing me and got a headache too but I figure that's probably stress :/

Prty honey I'm really sorry, but still got my FX for you that it isn't yet another visit from the bitch. It's a bit early for you isn't it so still in with a shot!

If we are judging by CM then it's 12dpo, if we go by app then it's 9dpo... CD28 and I've had 29 day cycles before. I guess we see what the morning brings

What's everyone's experiences with the cheap OPK's? I bought some boots own brand a few weeks ago because we thought I had some EWCM so rushed out but it came back negative. Weirdly it comes up with two lines for a negative and a positive is two lines with a really dark first line... I don't like them and feel they were expensive at £10 for 7. I've been considering getting the cheapies though as I have no idea if I'm even ovulating let alone when..?

Emzlou I have the boots ones too and I hate them. Why does a second line appear at all?!

I've switched to CB digital so can't comment on the internet cheapies.

Me "Yeah, I'm not even ovulating yet. That was just a trial run"

Nothing has really changed this morning in terms of colour or amount re: CM. got a few niggly cramps and still feel stomach bug like, feel a bit like vomming this morning.

aindy why don't men get it?! I accidentally dropped my folic acid last night and it skidded under the washing machine - OH 'is the washing machine pregnant?' Prty 'everything else fucking is except me so why not?!' OH - backs away slowly. Prty - secretly wonders if OH has been putting something other than fabric softener into the washing machine...

Hey! So today is the day my AF is due and we decided to buy a pack of tests last night, the clear blue ones. DH was itching for me to test last night but I thought I better wait until this morning. We both happened to be awake at 7 which is very unusual for a Saturday so I POAS and straight away the X appeared but I looked away and waited the 2 mins it said and the X was still very clear...showed DH and we are assuming that's a BFP for me!!! Can't quite believe it as its first month trying so going to do the other one later today or tomorrow!

2nd day of OPK. A more visible line today but still not darker than the control line. So far, so good. Still 4 days before fertile window, so it'll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Haha Prty I don't turn cray cray until TWW, then it's DON'T DO ANYTHING THAT COULD AFFECT IMPLANTATION. NO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS!

Hahahahaha aindy makes sense! My OPKs often looked like that, I got my line maybe a shade darker but that was it for me! Looks like a good sign though as you are approaching FW.
I don't mind if someone wants to queue jump :) but I'll be pushing my way back to the front haha!

Aindy- I'm pretty sure you have to same OPKs as me. Mine came with a leaflet which said not to test with your first pee as LH can't be detected in the morning as well as it can later in the day. I think it recommended between 10am-8pm so you might want to try later too! (the exact opposite instructions when compared to CB OPKs! )

Aindy and Emz I've been using those cheapie ovulation tests, and I'm like prty never had a darker line!! I got darker this month at the right time, then went lighter yesterday - pretty sure I'm at my peak right now - so I'm assuming I DID ovulate, but just that I POAS at the wrong time of day? Or hadn't held my wee long enough!! They are a pain coz you have to wee into a container and dip. And you're supposed to wait 10 mins, so at work I've been seeing into the top of a flipping deodorant that I cleaned, and have been carrying around in my bag!! Any tips for that gratefully received!! But I've never been able to wait 10 mins, as I can't block the loos that long!!!

Happy birthday for yesterday to flowers and Aindy glad to hear the tests were all normal!

My OH is away in Canada now til next Fri. We managed to DTD once before we left, and think we caught my early fertile window. All the signs were there, high cervix, lots of CM (sorry, TMI?!), so am pleased at least we have some chance this month!! We were stuck before then, as we were at his parents all Bank Hol weekend with v thin walls!! Then a friend stayed the night we got back in the room right next to ours , so we only got to DTD once, so am hoping it was on target! I've been visualising (as per my book) releasing a healthy egg, and sperm entering an egg!!

Sorry, hippy back on board a mo... prty and anyone else struggling with ovulation, I would really recommend temping, as I will have a pretty good idea this month if and when I ovulated, as your temp stays low for the first half of your cycle, pre ovulation, then goes up on or around ovulation until AF. It's also a really good way to tell if you're preggers, as your temp will stay up if you are! So a temp that stays high for longer than 14 days I think it is, is a high indication you're preggo!! This is my first proper month doing it, but as my temp has gone up the last few days, I can be pretty sure I did OV, even with negative OV tests. X

ella this is probably the one weekend in the last 8 or 9 where we have no plans whatsoever!! OH is out tonight but I'm not going with him. Too much time to twiddle my thumbs today!

Morning ladies ! another busy afternoon yesterday and had a party last night ( where I spyed a girl who Must have been early stages of pg pfft) prty sorry to hear of possible AF , keeping fx really tight so the circulation stops that's it's not !:) life good news on the results , my OPK experience is much the same as the others , and giving up on them this month , I know my friend had success with them tho. AF is finally buggering off for me , OH is raring to go - I just hope the enthusiasm is still there when I'm OV - whenever that is !:)
