Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

*can totally

But you can't do it orally either, so sleeve up and grit teeth!

lildottie · 16/09/2015 07:41

Ill is it definitely af? Cramping doesn't necessarily mean AF and neither does spotting. You're not out until the red convertible is parked on the drive. (Think that one was min wasn't it chat)

My ovaries really ache this morning! I'm starting to get to point of not being able to not think about the ivf and I'm starting to worry about how many eggs we'll get, will they fertilise, will we get any to transfer! Please send hooyahs!

just why not try some meditation to relax you. Do it a few times beforehand and then use it to take yourself away while they do bloods. There are loads of CDs on Amazon.

ChatEnOeuf · 16/09/2015 08:26

Think it was Min Lil. Takes me back! Hooyah for you though. Aching ovaries or not, you will get good eggs. Then science will turn them into babies for you to grow.

YouBastard. Because they are beautiful Grin

FeatheredTail · 16/09/2015 08:50

No hooyah Lil but have faith that you had eggs last time that were successfully implanted. Your follies are looking good and there is no reason right now to suggest it won't go as planned!

Sock how do you have your steak?? I'm with Chat - I like mine seared on the outside, blue on the inside. Absolutely no point to steak when pregnant.

Ill - what Lil said. Cramps and spotting could just be cramps and spotting. Gx for you.

I had a bad night. DH is away with work and I never sleep well on my own. Woke up at 3am gripped with panic and spent two hours googling miscarriage/risk of a second miscarriage. I'm now exhausted and feeling low. I realise there's nothing I can do to make this pregnancy different from the last one, but I'm already dreading the scan and seeing a tiny non-heart beating blob. I need a hooyah. Seeing my friend just lost her baby (at 16/17 weeks) for lunch later. Feeling really low - most probably attributable to the fact I barely slept.

Gives self a slap

YouBastardSockBalls · 16/09/2015 09:34

Sock how do you have your steak??

Still in the pack Grin

No hooyahs from me feathered. Have some Cake instead.

Different pregnancy, different egg, different sperm.

I needed some serious hooyahs last pregnancy. DH is a livestock scanner so there is an actual functioning ultrasound machine in our house. Don't think I need to elaborate but needless to say it had to be hidden Grin

FeatheredTail · 16/09/2015 09:53

That really made me laugh Sockballs!!!

SockQueen · 16/09/2015 10:33

I have daily access to ultrasound and sort of know how to use it (I can use the scanner for lots of different procedures but have not been trained in pregnancy ultrasound). If I ever get upduffed, that's 9 months of crazy right there!

ChatEnOeuf · 16/09/2015 12:46

Same, Sock. Wouldn't know where to start scanning in pregnancy like fuck, of course I do but can do a half-decent job of other scans.

Evening viroids. Currently having a lovely spa break away with the mother and mother-in-law. Really enjoying being pampered. Back home tomorrow.

There has been no more spotting, but I'm feeling very mildly crampy and I'm constipated so think AF is upon us.

lil really got everything crossed for you!

sock id be completely the same. How hard can it be?

Tinktheterrible · 16/09/2015 18:22

Sorry ill and fluffy if your fears are confirmed! but as others have said, you're not out until you're out!

feathered repeat after me: today I am pregnant... You'll be fine, breathe.

Keepatit · 16/09/2015 18:37

150 squats done... I can't walk Hmm

FeatheredTail · 16/09/2015 20:21

Thanks Tink , I'm trying but it's hard. Not needing to pee as much as last week and boobs aren't at all sore. Didn't feel sick today either. I'm getting a bad feeling but just trying to remember there's nothing I can do about it.

justtheonethen · 16/09/2015 20:53

ill and fluffy not out yet. Gx for you both.

feathered hugs for you and what tink said.

I don't know viroids, I can't see how I'll do two in a month. I know everything you have all said rationally but I just don't know if I can. I should do first one Monday (7dpo) but you have to go to hospital and arrive by 4 which is impossible with work. I know that sitting and waiting in a huge queue will make me freak out. If it was at surgery I might stand a chance but they don't do it. I really don't know what to do, I'm getting really panicky about it. Obviously I want help but I know they will redo at fc so that's so many blood tests. Having a massive freak out.

Sorry, feeling really tired and emotional. Failed shag tonight and even though i should be 2dpo so it shouldn't make a difference im feeling stressed out that it's another chance wasted.

justtheonethen · 16/09/2015 20:54

Can you bring the scanner to the commune sockballs?

Tinktheterrible · 16/09/2015 21:26

just and feathered big hugs, massive hugs!

feathered symptoms are supposed to come and go in early pregnancy. Your body is doing its thing and growing that little person. I know you can't help the anxiety, but try and be as kind to yourself as you can. Repeat the mantra: today I am pregnant. Allow yourself a little smile at that fact! You will be fine. Plenty of fluids and sleep and keep reminding yourself that you are supposed to feel like this, it means you will be a lovely mummy! You'll get through this .

just can you change surgery? I have a good surgery and local hospital now and it's made all the difference.
Also, even if it's the worst thing in the world, you can do it. When I've had scary appointments I've been driven in by Dh (who has taken time off work to take me Blush), taken into the consultation rooms weeping and shaking and been very looked after, talked to the whole time, and kicked out once it's all over., without anyone batting an eyelid! Dh has then driven me to the closest pub! Honestly, you get a sense of euphoria from getting through it! They are so used to the likes of you and me crazies try and resign yourself to it and just let it happen.

keep do some for me please? Thanks Smile

Tinktheterrible · 16/09/2015 21:38

Big cat doing his kiss you face for all those struggling viroids!

oneyorkshirepud · 16/09/2015 22:10

Just, sounds mega stressful. Have you tried hypnotherapy? It gets very good results with phobias. I can recommend a really good one in York but don't know where you live!

oneyorkshirepud · 16/09/2015 22:10

And Tink big cat is completely lush!

Tinktheterrible · 16/09/2015 22:15

Fanks! And he is a lush too! That's his wine! not mine, oh no, not me, hic

FeatheredTail · 16/09/2015 22:34

Thanks Tink

takes hand

looks back and scoops up tinkcat in the other hand

YouBastardSockBalls · 16/09/2015 22:46

just can they use the numbing stuff? Flowers for you, phobias are shit, I am very badly emetophobic which obviously goes great with pregnancy. I actually seriously considered not trying for a third as I'm so terrified of morning sickness. So I totally understand Flowers

I'm considering hypnotherapy, has anyone done it??

SockQueen · 16/09/2015 22:52

Fluffy - not hard at all (once past the very teeny size) to put the probe on and find the uterus/baby. Considerably more difficult to do anything sensibly diagnostic! One of my tutors at uni announced her pregnancy to us by dragging us into an equipment cupboard and scanning herself!

My fanjo has been taunting me for several days now, with tiny amounts of old blood on wiping, which sometimes happens at the start of my period but doesn't usually go on this long! If the witch is coming I wish she'd just get on with it, because I keep thinking it might be the mythical implantation bleeding and I can't get my hopes up too much. Might have to POAS tomorrow morning - it'll be CD34 so totally acceptable, right?

Ain626 · 16/09/2015 23:27

Cake and Flowers for all the viroids. Especially feathered, Lil, just and ill

Loving that we now have an ultrasound scanner at the commune!

So first week of slimming world complete. Week one weigh in tonight... lost 7lbs and got a shiny pink sticker! It's going to be too little too late in terms of my appointment on Friday, but at least it's a bit of a boost. Not expecting to lose that much every week obviously, but hopefully a good kickstart for getting back on track after my several month plateau!

bellybuttonfluffy · 16/09/2015 23:27

POWssock! I peed on Tuesday morn before my trip as I knew I would be drinking. Bfn, which I wasn't overly surprised by.. But obvs very disappointed as I had really hoped this was our month!

bellybuttonfluffy · 16/09/2015 23:30

Poas more like. Hmm

I do really rate slimming world ain. It does work. Well done for 7lb loss! That's an amazing start!
