Knew if I started to think about testing AF would show..... Just checked and think I'm spotting. Also always manages to coincide with an important day at work.

Emu123 · 02/09/2015 09:17

Sad Sad Sad

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 02/09/2015 10:12

Big hugs Emu - and hope your big day at work goes well as well. God, this is such a crazy roller-coaster, isn't it?

Sorry to have been absent for a while - had my own crazy busy week at work last week and there's nothing really to report. I started using OPKs last week but I don't really think I started using them early enough in my cycle (as they didn't arrive for AGES!), and didn't ever really get a positive so don't really know what to make of that or what that means. It's only Cycle 1 for me so I'm just going to see what happens.

To be honest, as it stands, if I wasn't to get preggers, my period is due whilst DH and I go on our belated honeymoon in October so I'm kind of hoping that all this thinking about my cycle will mess it up anyway (I know, slightly counter-productive!) so that if we don't get pregnant, my period might move around so it's not making an appearance in Morocco!

There's logic in there somewhere...

BIG Congrats to odog and Emily! Fingers crossed for smooth, happy, wonderful pregnancies. :)

jbiscuits · 02/09/2015 10:38

Just caught up after a weekend at the PILs'. Congratulations Emily and Odog!

AF tailed off yesterday here, so all ready for another month TTC Smile

Hi all. Is anyone an expert on temping?

I'm having a bit of a struggle interpreting mine. I've not done any opks this month so just temping. I should have oved by now as I'm day 16. I've not seen a 3 day temp rise yet though!

As the school bus sets of for a new school term, this bus is heading directly to BFP - September bus welcome aboard
Klaptrap · 02/09/2015 17:09

Congratulations to all the BFPs (faint or otherwise!). Star Flowers Cake

I tested yesterday afternoon with an IC test and it was a negative.
I tested because my temp chart is triphasic and I got over-excited (I know testing in the afternoon is not the best idea). I've now had five days in a row of very consistent triphasic temperatures. Shock

My period is due today based on my calculated ovulation day, but my temp was still sky high this morning and no sign of her the witch yet... BUT I suspect my ovulation date might be a bit squiffy this month as my signs were very mixed and my temperature pattern was quite odd (compared to my previous months charting).

So I am not counting myself out yet, but I am waiting nervously to start spotting. As my cycles are irregular I may have to wait until CD35+ before I can definitely say AF is late (currently on CD28).

Klaptrap · 02/09/2015 17:15

KittyandTeal - I'm not an expert by any means, but your temperatures do seem consistently higher from CD7, but that would be rather early for ovulation (I would guess!). Your chart looks quite erratic though (although I can't work in Fahrenheit at all so that could be quite normal in terms of variation). Do you have Fertility Friend set up to automatically calculate your ovulation day from your temperature data?

I had an odd temp cycle this month so it took a good few days after ovulation before the app actually marked my ovulation day (and I'm still not 100% convinced it's right TBH).

Sorry - not much help, I am sure someone with more experience will be along soon.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 02/09/2015 17:32

Holy moly, the more I look at temping information, I more I feel completely bewildered. Part of me thinks the numerical, logical side of me would really love it and be fascinated by the data and the other half of me thinks there's far too much to 'read into' and I don't need anymore excuses to be jumping to conclusions.

As they say KlapTrap, it ain't over untl AF makes her appearance so I'll still be keeping my fx for you!

I am already driving myself insane. I don't think DH and I DTD enough or on the right days to even have a chance of being pregnant this month but I've been driving myself crazy all day. I've gone from being fairly laid back this morning, to majorly wishing the next week or so to FLY by so I can find out one way or the other.

Oooh, this isn't fun. We made a conscious decision not to tell anyone we were TTC but feel like I just want to talk about it!

KittyandTeal · 02/09/2015 18:10

Claptrap yes it's set up to automatically find ovulation but by cd16 I should have ovulated with my shorter cycles. Cd7 seems really early but anything after today is really late for me.

I'm temping vaginally too (except during af which explains some of the temp fluctuations then) so it is about as accurate as it can be. My temperatures have been a bit irratic but I think thats just me. I know it's a sign of pcos but I have no other symptoms so I'm not worried about that.

Does cd11 look like a possible? There isn't a 3 day shift since then but it's the only significant dip around the right time.

I'll wake up tmrw to a huge dip now won't I!

KittyandTeal · 02/09/2015 18:13

Toffee, I know it's fun isn't it.

I have to say I find temping interesting and as I'm so clueless I can rarely read too much into it Grin

I pretty much know I'm out this month anyway. Dh was away working Notting hill then rubbish shifts since sat so we've pretty much missed my fertile time. Not too bothered tbh, if I conceived this month my dates would run almost exactly concurrently with dd2s which I'm not sure I could handle tbh.

Belle8 · 02/09/2015 19:40

Hi!
Sorry for the long absence had a night mare forgetting password get blocked out etc!
Wow this certainly seems to be a lucky bus! Congrats to all those BFP!! (Teeny bit jealous but only in a good way Grin)
So I've been trying to stick to SMEP but am on CD19 and no positive OPK Confused this is my first month using OPKs so went for the clear blue digi (only £15 in morrisons for 10 compared to £20 in boots ) I started as SMEP said at CD10 and not one smiley face :( feeling really down about it and wondering if I even ovulated the months before? Can anybody offer any advice? My packs run out and planned to buy some more on the way home from work to keep going but I was feeling so rubbish and down I didn't bother Sad
Xx

Thisisbonkers · 02/09/2015 21:43

Snap belle, cd20 here and no positive. But a 35 day cycle is not unusual here so fingers crossed for you

Belle8 · 02/09/2015 21:47

I'm only on cycle 3 last cycles were 48 and 36. So do you usually still get a positive at this stage seeing you have longer cycles too? X

Spotsondots · 02/09/2015 23:29

Day 40 here. Still no AF... Crazy cycles and think we'd be seriously lucky to HSV conceived this month so basically just waiting for Her to show her face...

Spotsondots · 02/09/2015 23:29

*have

Thisisbonkers · 03/09/2015 08:22

Other than the first time I ever used one, I've never had a positive Confused but this cycle (#10) is the first time I've been doing twice a day. The evenings are stronger than first thing of a morning. I'm hoping tonight or tomorrow for a strong line.

3Princes99 · 03/09/2015 13:39

Still no af, 2 days late, cramps have gone but still bfn!!!

Obliviated · 03/09/2015 15:29

CD39 here and still no AF.

I'm very sure I'm not pregnant though and have given up testing.

Belle8 · 03/09/2015 15:47

Hmm thanks thisisbonkers I've been testing always first thing in the morning maybe that's where I have been going wrong? What cycle are you? Confused I think I was just panicking yesterday. I was trying to explain to my husband but we ended up in fits of laughter as I just thought it was the end of the world and I had no eggs. But let's just hope it a) missed it b) might be happening post CD 20 or c) maybe I don't ovulate every month.

Posted too soon! Hello everyone. I'll read through the whole thread when I get time. Not expecting any bfp this month as first month and (tmi?) didn't dtd much after surge. Used preseed and softcups though. Anyone else using these?

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 03/09/2015 16:27

Hi Belle - I recently read the SMEP book (Sperm Meet Egg Plan) and that recommended OPK'ing in the afternoon which is what I was doing a couple of weeks ago. Was pretty weird doing it at work, and I found all sorts of sneaky ways to find disposable cups at work and use the disabled loo for a bit of privacy!

Belle8 · 03/09/2015 17:08

Haha thanks toffeeapple only thing that put me off doing it in the day is not weeing for 4 hours! I try to drink lots of water at work and 4 hours sounds like a long time but might give that a go next month. Are you following SMEP this cycle? X

KittyandTeal · 03/09/2015 17:17

Quell I was using pressed and soft cups. I used a mooncup with dd1 which worked great.

It's obviously not worked yet for me. I didn't bother this month as I got thrush last month, I'm sure it wasn't those but I thought I'd have a month off. P,U.S. We're being a bit more relaxed this month while we reassess ttc.

Emzlou15 · 04/09/2015 00:00

CD 36 or 41? Depends if you count from the start of my Withdrawl bleed from coming off the pill. Still no AF, still don't think I've ovulated. Every morning I want to test but am trying to resist until at least the 20th to be around hubbys birthday. Really don't think we've been lucky but with me not knowing if I'm even having a cycle yet I still cling on to that faint glimmer of hope...
