Reinstating the gin deck from a previous bus for AF arrivals, and stocking up on pineapple juice and Brazil nuts, fx for lots of BFPs this month.

I know everyone calls them fanny bullets, but I didn't realise the progesterone suppositories were actually bullet shaped! How funny. Am going to sleep as moving about is too painful at the moment. Night night all. Xx

Bless you sammy sweet dreams filled with your future babies Wink

Nomio230 · 13/07/2015 21:59

Sweet dreams, Sammy.

Rainy, are you being seen privately or NHS?

Mummyofonesofar · 14/07/2015 07:13

8th day of that obnoxious flashy smiley face.... I was so happy to see him in day 1, what the hell is going on now! I may give up on digis if this carry a on much longer!

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 07:38

sammy I think most suppositories are bullets. Easier insertion. You realise that once you have to put paracetamol sups into a seven month old. Hmm Mine are capsules however. They can be swallowed too which is what they do if people take this brand for hormone replacement therapy or menopause, although for LP defects you get better results putting them into the vagina. So that's where mine is going. Grin
madame I'm sure if you managed to dtd it will be okay. You'll only ovulate on average around 30 hours after the peak surge anyway (ranging between 12-48 hours though) so it will be fine. But it's good that you now know what exactly a positive looks like. Smile.
rainy I really hope this one sticks and you won't need the fertility clinic at all! xf and all that.
nomio will be on the progesterone pessaries until they make a difference I guess? If they work first time and I get a BFP this cycle I have to take them for the whole of the first trimester. I do find it a bit tedious having to think about timing and lying down for a bit after inserting them just to make sure as much gets absorbed as possible. Twice a day too! yawn Also find it irritating that because mine are reasonably small (small neurofen liquitab sort of size) I sometimes temporarily lose them up there while trying to get them as high as possible and close as possible to the cervix. Hmm TMI?
nympho that story was terrible. I am so sorry it was so awful. I know that doctors and nurses see miscarriages and stillbirths and chemicals all the time, so they do get desensitised to the personal tragedy that the woman and her partner experience, but it definitely doesn't make it right at all. FWIW I do not like my fertility consultant much. Hmm Ironically he is very gung-ho, e.g. almost forcing me to have the scan to check my tubes weren't blocked even though I was certain that the only problem was my LP (him: "wouldn't you rather know now and be pregnant next month rather than only checking in a few months' time when you're still not pregnant and then finding there was something wrong with your tubes" me: "u-uuhm, oka-aa-aay"), so I know I am lucky that he is so positive about throwing potential remedies at me, but I still feel that he treats us like just another couple on the fertility conveyor belt. I think he sees me as a giant womb and DH as a giant spermatozoa. Grin (FWIW my tubes were fine as I suspected but I guess now I do know)
ralu not sure? Might need more information. FF isn't the best oracle either, remember. I always think it is more useful to see patterns, rather than a step-by-step guide. It's an algorhythm and doesn't actually know your body. Smile Trust instincts and when in doubt always ALWAYS DTD. Grin

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 07:45

rainy meant to add to above to push the progesterone if you do end up going for the consult. Hopefully you won't need it though! Grin. But If you feel fairly confident you have LP problems, progesterone is a reasonably cheap medicine so it is easier to convince them to give you prog than e.g. clomid or letrazole. I was lucky in that the consultant immediately went and put me on both, and an HCG shot too after dildo cam a few days before ovulation to check on if they were growing follicles properly too. So I would definitely try to get your thoughts together to get them to give you progesterone. You could even pretend to be upset that they don't want to give you clomid and "accept" only progesterone treatment, so that your consultant thinks they've been very conservative even though you might know that that is all you wanted to try first. Yes, I am evil and devious Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/07/2015 08:01

Morning all. sammy hope you are doing ok today.
nympho hope you are doing ok today. What a horrible experience for you. Im so sorry. Xx

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/07/2015 08:05

rainy fx this one works and you won't need the clinic.
ral and madame sorry no wisdom for either of you... I'll ponder.
nomio how are you doing?
kir distract yourself from the symptoms. Nothing to see for another 5 days at least, so you need to focus on being healthy and not stressing. Sorry for the lecture but don't get too caught up in ttc, not healthy (says the greatest hypocrite on planet earth).

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 08:10

dizzy if BFP then for first trimester. If no BFP I guess only as long as it appears to help? Hmm
kir hah I laughed at your 1dpo symptom spotting. I'm 4dpo now and this morning am positive the cramps are meaning and not just the progesterone doing progesteronish stuff to my uterus.
boris waves Smile

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 08:10

"the cramps are meaning "? WTF. meaningful

Mummyofonesofar · 14/07/2015 08:22

Auf would the progesteronish stuff cause cramping though? Can I symptom spot with you until I am on my tww?

Just browsed the CB website and it sayd if you get flashy smiley for 9 days then stop testing Sad so tomorrow is my last chance before even the opks give up on me.

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/07/2015 08:29

mummy wonder why the 9 day limit? How annoying.
auf alright chick?

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/07/2015 08:31

Picture the scene. Sitting in floor of busy train due to there being no seats. Train lurches and my bike falls on my head. And it's not yet 9.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 08:32

right mummy you asked for it. Yes, yes you can.
Achy and crampy uterus.
Woke up with spotty forehead.
Couldn't sleep last night.
Creamy CM (I never get creamy cm. I was like "WTF is this stuff?")
Feel like not working and just staying in bed the whole day long. And yes of course that is a symptom! Why wouldn't it be? And who is bringing me coffee and biscotti? I want biscoo-ooootti damnit!
Irritable with DH and DC. But not with the cat. The cat can stay.
Achy and crampy uterus. I've said that, right? But seriously, very achy and very crampy uterus.
The End.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 08:36

A-aah boris. 9am is the devil's hour. Especially when a bike and a train is involved.
I for a time used to travel 10min in the opposite direction on the train to where I was actually going in the mornings, just so I could get onto the train coming back the other way again at the last small station before my town's big station, as that meant actually getting a seat and not having to stand or crouch for an hour getting into London. Something to consider?

RalucaMorena · 14/07/2015 08:42

Finally I have a temp spike. Now, because I am a crazy woman and record my journal in 2 apps I have 2 different ov dates. So I'm either 3 or 4 dpo.

Mummyofonesofar · 14/07/2015 08:56

Boris 9 day limit I guess in case its an annovulatory cycle so you don’t keep wasting your sticks Sad Oh no! Your poor head!!

Auf I love your list! Creamy CM is meant to be a good sign isn’t it – I always get shed loads of the stuff so can’t every count it as something new! Hahaha, “The Cat can stay” Sounds like a good list to me, when will you start poking your boobs to see if they are tender or make them tender by prodding them

Ral sorry have you name changed? Or are you new?

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 09:02

mummy tender boobs Grin My breasts are foreign to me these days. I don't know if I would notice? But yes having just tried it I can confirm that poking at them surely makes them more feel sore than not poking at them.
googles creamy cm
I still have no biscotti. Angry

Mummyofonesofar · 14/07/2015 09:06

Sore boob prodding has got to be a symptom auf surely. Getcha own biscotti Wink

loopylou1984 · 14/07/2015 10:06

8 of our eggs have fertilised! A little bit sad that we've lost 10, but actually 6 of them weren't even mature enough, so we're never going to make a baby. Xx

OP posts:
Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 10:10

Wow sammy amazing! Congratulations. 8 is a bumper haul! Grin
You're transferring one, right? Will the others be frozen for later use in case this cycle doesn't work? And if it does work, can you use the frozen ones a few years down the line if you wanted a second baby?

loopylou1984 · 14/07/2015 10:21

Yes Auf, we're transferring 1. And yes, if there are any spare they will be frozen for 10 years. I'm fairly confident that all 8 will not make it, that would be extremely lucky. I'm also terrified that none will make it. Gah - can I just sleep until Thursday? Xx

OP posts:
frogbubbles · 14/07/2015 10:22

frogbubbles · 14/07/2015 10:24

Sammy cross post. Sorry to hear 10 eggies didn't make it. But 8 is awesome. I'm so pleased for you xx

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 10:29

sammy Can you just sleep until Thursday? Yes, yes you can. :)
