Reinstating the gin deck from a previous bus for AF arrivals, and stocking up on pineapple juice and Brazil nuts, fx for lots of BFPs this month.

Hi Spinning Smile

RalucaMorena · 18/07/2015 15:37

Yeah. . If it were me I would say something.

spinningirl10 · 18/07/2015 16:35

Raluca my cycle buddyGrin Are you symptom spotting yet? Are you planning to poas? If you look at charts on FF you see ladies get bfp without a very high temp. My temps are staying quite high this month but I am only 7dpoSmile

Mummy, yay for dh fulfilling his taskWink

Who's next to poas?

Nomio230 · 18/07/2015 16:57

DizzyN, that is amazing! Congratulations! Have you talked about dates/venues yet?

Sammy, I am so sorry you couldn’t go through with your transfer, but it is great that you got so many good embryos. Next month you will be fit & healthy ready for implantation.

Welcome, Beautician. As far as I am aware, you won’t get any help or tests with your third child, but I think to some extent it depends where you live.

Pikz, I appreciate your effort! How are you doing?

Spinning, have you killed the rude girl yet?!

RalucaMorena · 18/07/2015 17:01

I try not to as I did last month and was disappointed when af arrived. However I will poas next Saturday if af doesn't show.
I checked my chart from my previous pregnancy and the temp was above 36.7 but I don't know if this happened with all my pregnancies as I wasn't charting.
I'm a bit cramping as I checked my cp but I don't want to get disappointed again so I'm trying to ignore it.

spinningirl10 · 18/07/2015 17:51

Raluca, sounds sensible. I hate the blank space when I poas, I also hate ic's and frets are expensive so I wait. Fx for you.

Nomio, I have 8 students here now! It's a madhouse. She still flounces around and pinches the best seat on the sofa and the remote! Dp sees them all for 10 mins a day and says 'ah it's lovely having lots of students'
I would agree for 10 mins a day!!

Hairstylisttoboris · 18/07/2015 17:54

sammy I'm sorry but it does sound like the right answer. Hope you get stronger soon. Could you count any current absences you need from work as sickness now as this cycle of ivf hasn't gone ahead? Rather than use all your extra ivf leave this cycle?

spinning I don't think she does know. I'm not particularly close to her. She's told me before that she feels her hubby is too close to work colleagues. she wants some distance so they can work on their marriage. I felt she was ensuring (in a nice way) we stay away from stuff. It's so complicated. I'd like to tell her. I'll see what happens if DH confronts her husband first. Poor woman. I'm fuming about how public knowledge it is between people they work with.

Hairstylisttoboris · 18/07/2015 17:55

8 students?!!!??? I'm

Hairstylisttoboris · 18/07/2015 17:56

I'm not sure if I think you are mad or brave or what.

spinningirl10 · 18/07/2015 18:52

Boris, for work colleagues to know, they must be very obvious. Very sad Hmm
Yes I am mad and I do not have an empty house until the end of August and then I have 2 days to get everything packed up and house clean for our tenants!Grin

Nomio230 · 18/07/2015 19:07

Spinning, you are definitely crazy!

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 18/07/2015 19:34

Am already falling being again on posts. Sad
Enjoy your Saturday night everyone!

DizzyMerry · 18/07/2015 19:38

Congratulations dizzy on your engagement.

Sorry for temp drop pikz.

Sammy sorry the transfer was cancelled but it's definitely the right decision given the circumstances. Get well soon Flowers

Welcome beautician Smile hope your stay here is short.

No temp rise here but I actually think my thermometer is the problem as my temp has been 36 for the past couple of days. I'll have to get the babymad one now.

DizzyMerry · 18/07/2015 19:40

Spinning 8 students Shock I think you're completely bonkers but also brave to cope with them!

DizzyNorthernBird · 18/07/2015 20:01

Ahh boris missed you too, and the rest of you lovely ladies!

Must admit though, staying off here and also avoiding opks before ov worked a treat in terms of keeping obsessiveness and ttc stress at bay. I may do it again next cycle if I'm not lucky this month.

mummy he's ordered a ring but it's not ready until the end of the month, so he got me a cheapy diamonique ring from qvc instead so that he could put something on my finger! It's very sparkly so I didn't mind at all! He didn't get down on one knee but I didn't mind because the cheesiness of it all would have killed me otherwise Blush Grin

We're not rushing into wedding planning just yet, I would like to carry on concentrating on saving for a house first. Hopefully we'll be in a position to tie the knot in 2017 though!

rainy that's great your fertility appt is so soon! Hopefully you won't need it though!

sammy that's pants about your transfer but sounds like it's for the best for now. You'll have them inside you before long! That's great that the blasts are good quality!

Hi spinners!

DizzyNorthernBird · 18/07/2015 20:09

nomio I have no idea where to begin with deciding what to do for the big day, but I know I want to keep it low key and low cost! DP has come up with a few good ideas...possibly involving a ceremony up north with close family then a party down here for extended family and friends etc. We both have elderly grandparents who would struggle with a journey and a lot of our friends have young children, so that way everyone can get involved in the celebration.

Nomio230 · 18/07/2015 20:48

Sounds like a good idea, DizzyN. I am assuming we will all be invited! Grin

DH got me a cheapy ring the first time he proposed, then did it properly with my real one.

DizzyM, I would definitely get a new thermometer. TTC is stressful enough without worrying about silly things like that.

I have a killer headache, so am trying the well known cure of strawberry Pimms & Haagen Dazs!

spinningirl10 · 18/07/2015 20:59

Ha Nomio, loving your cure for headaches, hope it buggers off soon.

Ah Dizzy, 2 rings! Hope we get a pic of the real one when its ready, do you know what it looks like?

loopylou1984 · 19/07/2015 08:55

Hi all

Boris - well yes, the policy says 'if you become unwell as a result of your fertility treatment this must be reported as per the sickness policy' although my team manager is arguing with my direct manager about it, so I might have to call HR when I get back.

I'm a little better, had a 'great' day yesterday where I felt ok until about 8pm when suddenly I felt very sick and uncomfortable and had to come to bed!

Can't remember who asked, but I'm not sure if this will count with the nhs as our one fresh go seeing as it didn't happen, will need to look in to that! I should hope not! Tbh the thought of going through another fresh round terrifies the living daylight out of me - I never want to feel like this again. Xx

Hairstylisttoboris · 19/07/2015 09:45

nomio great cure for a headache! I personally eat chocolate or cheesecake when I have a bad head.

sammy will be keeping everything crossed that you don't gave to go through this again. Hope all the policies work out in your favour. It would be unfair if your work not to let you have this as sick - after all you are sick. Hope your nausea goes away.

My DH has found a private clinic that users less invasive ivf drugs, even has a drug free natural cycle ivf system. It's called create or something similar. Head quartered in wimbledon. Has great sucess rates for older women like me. Thought I'd share in case anyone else is researching ivf options.

RalucaMorena · 19/07/2015 10:23

I remember when he proposed. I got to choose my own ring so I made sure I have a real one. 10 years past already. .. I can't believe it!

loopylou1984 · 19/07/2015 10:37

Thanks Boris - I'll find out on Thursday when I go back!

Is the natural IVF the one where they just take your one naturally produced egg and try to fertilise it? If so, the only thing I'd say is take our 12 mature eggs - only 4 (possibly 5) of them have resulted in a blastocyst so with only one the odds can't be high... If it's significantly cheaper though it may be worth a try. X

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/07/2015 10:52

spinning it's similar looking to the fake ring, so a diamond solitaire on a white gold band (smaller stone obviously as its real!!) hopefully he isn't spending too much on it as I'd rather the money went towards our house savings! It's a simple looking ring, which suits me as I don't like bling or anything too fancy! Will post a pick when I have it Smile

FF has changed my ov date again this morning! Back to cd21 after my temp had dropped back slightly this morning (although I took the temp very early after being woken up by a loud bang outside which is why is was lower?)

So I have no idea whether I've ov'd on cd19 or cd21 which is annoying as it might mean my blood test is taken too early.....hmpf.

spinningirl10 · 19/07/2015 11:34

Dizzy, it sounds lovely, bet you can't wait to get it! I hate it when ff changes its mind! Earlier wake up could be the reason for temp change.

Boris, will you be making an appointment there or are you still at the research stage?

Nomio, has the headache gone today?

Sammy, fx you won't need to go through this again. Do your 4 frosties give you 4 tries? Do they have a use by date?

loopylou1984 · 19/07/2015 12:57

Technical yes each frostie give us a try, but we'd have to pay for them all. The embryologist called this morning to say the 5th one has made it, so we now have 5 frozen!

DizzyN - how frustrating about your ov date! X
