For those with performance issues. My DH struggled at first when we were trying to conceive DS. He was just totally freaked out by such major consequences even though he wanted it as much as I did. I think he over thought it a bit. He was fine after the first few times though.

Banana79 · 06/08/2015 09:19

Wooohooo Carrot everything crossed! At work.now so will catch up properly later but I fell for you princes and itsme. Sorry if I missed anyone.

CD8 here and a long wait to testing at the end of Aug. I've said it before and I'll say it again...damn you long cycles.

Emu123 · 06/08/2015 09:29

itsme sorry! missed your message above. Really sorry you're having a tough time and hope they crack on with tests soon.

princes feel for you Hun. I had the same before a really long meeting last month. So rubbish for u

lilygirl81 · 06/08/2015 09:57

Carrot I have everything crossed for you, you are just a few days ahead of me, so I'm now going to struggle not to use one of the 15 tests I have! My best pal is coming round at the weekend for what is normally a wine soaked evening, but think I will claim I can't drink on new meds. I may do a sneaky early test on Saturday morning, which would be 5 days before AF...

CarrotVan · 06/08/2015 09:58

I am only testing 2 days early. 5 days early will be a very, very early test. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't show anything

CarrotVan · 06/08/2015 10:33

I bottled it and phoned the EPU. Assuming no problems in the meantime I'm booked in for blood tests and a scan on the 28th! It would be earlier but I'm away for a week and have a challenging work diary

PallasCat · 06/08/2015 10:47

Sounds very sensible carrot. A tiny little tentative 'yay'!

Sorry you're having such a rough time, itsme. Flowers Sorry Princes too - did it become AF?
x

Emu123 · 06/08/2015 11:07

carrot if you don't mind me asking, did the EPU offer this because of your previous mc or was it your doc that said they would refer you?

Itsme247 · 06/08/2015 11:07

Thanks for all your lovely messages! I am sure we have all had a tough time some way or another on this emotional roller coaster ttc!!

CarrotVan · 06/08/2015 11:13

When I attended EPU with the MC in May they offered this for future pregnancies. I've since had a chemical pregnancy in July as well. I don't expect to see the GP for pregnancy related anything. Assuming it goes ok until the scan at the end of the month I'll self refer to the community midwives for antenatal care

Emu123 · 06/08/2015 11:41

Thanks carrot

RalucaMorena · 06/08/2015 11:56

Good news Carrot!
After 2nd mc epu refered me to obgyn and after blood test the consultant wrote that when I get pg I can self refer to epu.

KittyandTeal · 06/08/2015 12:10

That's great news about the epu carrot. Sounds like you'll get great care from them.

I'm in a similar boat if I do get a bfp at any point. My fetal medicine consultant told me to get straight on the phone to her as soon as I test positive, then it's scans, harmony, bloods every 2 weeks until after my 20 week scan then every 4 weeks if I want. Hence me being a bit stressed about it actually happening Smile

I'm hoping we won't have any performance issues tonight. I got positive opk yesterday so I really need to get on it tonight. Saying that I'm a little tender so I think I'll see how I'm feeling plus the rush to get a bfp is going the more I think about all the horrid medical stuff. I think I'm actually developing a fear of antenatal docs and midwives if that makes any sense?! Stupid brain

CarrotVan · 06/08/2015 12:19

I'm so stressed out with work and Mum stuff (home today, have had to arrange for hospital discharge to coincide with carers due to transfer issues) that I've barely had time to process my result

lilygirl81 · 06/08/2015 12:43

Carrot You have so much going on, I hope your mum gets home ok. Have you told DH?

I keep wondering how I would like to tell DH when it does happen, I'd like to do something sweet, but I'm sure I'll probably just be completely overwhelmed

CarrotVan · 06/08/2015 12:59

I told him and he was massively underwhelmed. It won't mean anything to him until he sees a scan picture or a hears a heartbeat. I wasn't expecting a massive reaction but a hug and a "it will be ok" would have been nice. I will inform him of such when I see him later!

lilygirl81 · 06/08/2015 13:15

oh carrot I think dh is going to be the same, I guess it's different when it's not happening inside your body, we get connected instantly but they take a bit of time.

MrsNuckyThompson · 06/08/2015 14:00

Carrot - very (tentatively of course!) excited for you. Although it sounds like you are having a stressful time, maybe having some other things to think about might actually be a blessing of sorts.

Itsme - welcome to the thread and truly hope everything works out with the bloods you are waiting for.

My CBFM went back down to high today after my two peak days, which I guess is standard. Will it now just drop down again to low? And when does it typically get you to pregnancy test the first time? I'm guessing it is based on a 28 day cycle until it gets to know me, and I'm usually a 33 day cycle so don't want to be testing early and being unnecessarily disappointed!!

CarrotVan · 06/08/2015 14:02

MrsNucky do you know how long the gap between ov and af is for you? For most people it's 12-14 days so if you know when you ov then test 12-14 days afterwards

MrsNuckyThompson · 06/08/2015 15:36

No, not precisely. Hoping to have a clearer idea after this month, when I'll have used the monitor for a full cycle. I wasn't sure whether longer cycle would typically also indicate a long LP (or are the extra days added at the beginning if you see what I mean?).

Emu123 · 06/08/2015 15:39

Gah 10dpo and trying desperately not to symptom spot - why do I do this?! We no way did it enough this month. Plus my main symptom is nausea - it would be too early for nausea anyway right??

3Princes99 · 06/08/2015 16:30

Feeling very down at the min as AF has kicked in. Can you please move me to the 31st Birchy, AF due 1st sept so would like to stay on this bus
