We don't care if you obsessively chart, temp & OPK, or just do the deed a couple of times a month. As long as you want a baby & can talk copious amounts of rubbish, this is the place for you. Grin

Thank you ladies Flowers I was fine whilst I was on the pills, but as soon as I've stopped them, I'm suffering! Could it be the surge in estrogen? I'm hoping that it means they are working!

Mega No scans Sad Just a blood test on CD21, which is the 6th July. Could I have a mai tai please? They are my favourites! It's my birthday on Thursday, so I plan to have a couple Grin At least I'll finally have something to add to the stats... Hmm

ThePug · 23/06/2015 21:19

Bound to be the drugs eskimo - your poor body doesn't know what's hit it! Fx it has had the shock to the system it needs to let go of an egg for you. Wishing you an early happy birthday now in case we don't cross paths again before then. I hope it is a day full of cock cake and loveliness.

nomio On later inspection, the opk is about the same as yesterday and not lighter, so all is not lost. At this rate it looks inevitable we might have to dtd at my parents' house on Friday night though Blush

mega I so hope AF turns up soon. Loving all your cocktail suggestions, putting me right in the mood! DH reckons I shouldn't drink at all on holiday though during the tww, I'm currently undecided. Packing update: made DH put what he wants in the case, weighed it and still had a few kg to play with so have added the shoe shortlist Grin We have all the hand luggage allowance too if I decide there is anything else that I want need to take.

knickers Fx you see a temp rise tomorrow and all that shagging wasn't just for fun!

HopesUpKnickersDown · 23/06/2015 21:19

Thanks Spinning.

Eskimo happy birthday for Thursday! ????

I had positive Opk's on cd15 and cd16..now on cd18 and no temp rise...We've attempted to dtd tonight and it just ain't happening, we're both **ed...literally ????

Hairstylisttoboris · 23/06/2015 21:35

No real time to catch up properly but queen sorry too see you go, do pop back if you can. Take care. X

HopesUpKnickersDown · 23/06/2015 21:40

Oh queen sorry to see you go ???? Good luck on your journey though and I hope you'll pop back and keep us updated Smile

Reluctantnympho · 23/06/2015 21:41

knickers I wonder if you can die from a CoC overdose?!? Hmm I often think of people with a sex addiction and wonder how this happens? Who the hell could be addicted to that?!?
eskimo Flowers
queen we will miss you! but if understand where you are coming from!

megarobotdiscoparty · 23/06/2015 21:43

eskimo I felt fine until I finished the tablets, then had quite a few gloomy days immediately afterwards. That was both cycles I took it and I responded well both times. Fx for you- sounds promising! And happy birthday for Thursday. Have a mai tai on me!

knickers you both deserve a medal. I am impressed you've even attempted it tonight! Fx for am imminent temp rise.

Pug I thought it was fairly safe to have a glass or two on the 2ww as wee bean is still doing all that implanting razzmatazz? I have a vision of luggage which is now 75% shoes. Don't forget to leave room to bring back a present for the Bumsnet bus! I'm going to decorate the back of the bus with holiday souvenirs from everyone's travels - the more ludicrous the better. They will complement my over-accessorised cocktails very nicely indeed Grin

Nomio230 · 23/06/2015 21:54

Robot, I have tat carefully chosen souvenirs from several holiday that I am willing to donate.

My exams are my Uni finals. I am doing a joint honours degree in Psychology/English Language and Communication. I have my last exam next Weds, then I am freeeeeee!

A sex addiction would come in really handy when TTC, Nympho!

Knickers, at least it is over for the month! I hope you get your temp shift tomorrow.

Eskimo, I found that Clomid gave me terrible mood swings & made me feel really depressed & hungry during the TWW wait. Weirdly, since being on progesterone pessaries, that seems to have stopped.

I really hope the side effects mean it is working for you & that little egg soon drops. It would be a good birthday present if you got upduffed this month!

Pug, I am sure you will be fine to have a few drinks. The earliest implantation can possibly be is 5DPO, so make the most of it early on!

OP posts:
HopesUpKnickersDown · 23/06/2015 22:03

Nympho I think you can! Too much CoC is a killer #CoCkills. I'm blaming fertility friend for tonight's malfunction, she's had us dtd since cd12 and now we're suffering burnout on ov day..she is no friend of mine ????

Pug I'm sure the odd tipple won't hurt during the tww ????good luck doing the deed at your parents, how naughty! Wink

Robot hope af shows up on time so can crack on with a clomid cycle...glad you've got a plan!

Nomio good luck with your last exam you clever lady! Smile

loopylou1984 · 23/06/2015 22:08

I've had a lovely chilled evening of crap tv! Hooray for pjs since 7pm.

I hear you all on the CoC overkill thing... Another bonus to the IVF is any dtd is just for fun! It's going to be amazing! Xx

ThePug · 23/06/2015 22:31

Yes sammy it will be utterly amazing!

I've read some stuff about alcohol potentially affecting implantation so the last thing I want to do is jeopardise our efforts! Has anyone read this study that says "Both male and female alcohol intakes during the week of conception increased the risk of early pregnancy loss." ??

aje.oxfordjournals.org/content/160/7/661.abstract

DizzyMerry · 24/06/2015 00:23

Catching up after a very busy evening.

Queen sorry to see you go. I wouldn't be able to get through my journey without this lovely lot but completely understand your reasons. Good luck with your ttc journey.

Robot I get twinges around my ovaries and ewcm but had both last month and no ov.

Mummy I'm intrigued by yoga. What does it actually do? I know nothing about it!

Eskimo hope you feel better soon and fx the clomid has done it's job and kick started your system. Happy birthday Cake

Sammy your evening sounds absolute bliss and dtd without ttc on your mind will most definitely be amazing.

I think it will be CoC overkill here soon! Dtd eod since cd6 and still waiting for ov on cd14 Confused we have been enjoying it though this month but I'm just worried about burning out.

DizzyMerry · 24/06/2015 00:24

Pug I've never heard of that before it it's better to err on the side of caution and avoid just in case.

MadameLeota · 24/06/2015 08:13

thepug I've never heard of that either, very interesting to read. You're right - I would be gutted if we got lucky and then we scuppered it at the last moment through something as silly and preventable as drinking.

I got my blood tests back and I ovulated! Such a relief - even fertility friend wasn't sure if I had and I'd had positive OPKS for about five days so wasn't sure what to make of it. Odds are we will need IVF because of DH'S low count so you brave ladies embarking on that road already give me hope for the future. Just the pesky BMI issue to sort out, but if I ever needed motivation this is the best motivation in the world. Our babies will never understand just how much they are wanted.

Putneymummy1 · 24/06/2015 09:30

Hee hee! Chances of being preg first time both times when you're an old fart must be minuscule so am expecting it to take a while. Having said that, if I am preggers I'll feel like a complete prat for posting on here too soon and you are welcome to kill me Nomio however you'll have to get in line behind my boss, several of my colleagues and potentially, my DH who I've assured both times it will take ages so we should start trying now and not wait a few months - which would have been sensible both times for a few reasons! Anyway chances are pretty low I'd say so I'll keep you posted! Have also just bought a load of conception vits. DS at nursery now in anticipation of going back to work. Can't find a weeping icon! Hope you're all DTDing like mad. Sorry I'm not sure what CoC stands for altho my filthy mind is coming up with quite a lot of options! X

ThePug · 24/06/2015 10:44

putney CoC is cock o'clock - our very own version of dtd. It was coined by a lovely former bus member Woolly who has taken some time out from MN... woolly if you happen to be secretly stalking and see this I miss you and hope you are doing well!

Mummyofonesofar · 24/06/2015 11:30

Sammy hope you had a great PJ night. DP is out Saturday night and home late Sunday so I will be having a lazy weekend Grin I may stay in my PJs the whole time!

Pug fx for ov soon for you so you don’t have to DTD at the parents! I have worked out that next month I will be POAS at my Dad’s during our Down South holiday! So at least either way I will be able to drink copious amounts of my Dad’s fine wine or will be over the moon and can tell my family face to face Grin. Re packing – DP can put his and DS’s clothes in a case and still have room for all the toiletries leaving my case for all the clothes and shoes I need!

mega sounds like a good plan re clomid (you will have to extend that consultant apt again). I hate the Mum’s race. DS made me do it last year, I had heels on so had to run bare foot and I don’t have the best bladder either! But the super fast Mum has left the school now so maybe I’ll come 2nd/3rd and get a medal Grin

eskimo sorry you’ve been feeling blue, good luck on project CoC! And happy birthday for tomorrow!!! Looking forward to having you on the stats Grin

knickers fx you get your temp rise soon! Could your thermometer be broken?

Nomio good luck with your exam next week!!!

Pug to be fair it said up to 10 units a week before it impacts at all so that will do! I used to be in the alcohol free zone in the TWW but how long can you go on like that?! Drink til it’s pink I say.

DizzyM It was yoga and mindfulness, just lots of stretching really (think downward dog and shoulder stands) with relaxation at the end of each one. I can touch the floor more easily after the course but have put on weight due to not doing any real exercise so back to Zumba gladly!!! Sorry you’re feeling burnt out too – this CoC mi’lark is hard work!

Madame yay for ov!! How much weight do you need to lose if you don’t mind me asking?

Putney get on your conception vits!! Hope DS enjoys his time at nursery and you don’t miss him toooo much.

Got my appraisal at work today, but alreay got my increment in this month's pay so happy days Grin

MadameLeota · 24/06/2015 11:40

Mummy I need to loose three more BMI points so probably about two stone, but ideally I'd like to loose three to be closer to that healthy zone. When I went for my ultrasound scan my weight made it harder to see my ovaries and I was filled with the reality of it all. Bit of a shock as I wear size 16 which I thought was 'average' and so wasn't worrying too much before TTC. Apparently if I did get pregnant with my BMI I might not be able to feel kicks or activity as well as slimmer ladies and the scans might not be as clear. I really don't want that!! I was always slim until my early twenties and am feeling disgusted with myself that I've put myself in this position. I have no one to blame but myself!

loopylou1984 · 24/06/2015 12:15

Girls I'm a bit worried as feeling really crampy today - please don't let AF come ridiculously early meaning the drugs will arrive too late!
I've never had a LP this short before, but it would be just my luck! Xx

nightandthelight · 24/06/2015 12:24

Panic not Sammy! Could it be digestive cramping?

Please don't beat yourself up Madame, feeling disgusted at yourself isn't good for you. Just focus on being the healthiest you can be and be kind to yourself! Weight gain happens for so many reasons but you have the best reason to lose it and I know you will be successful :)

Mummyofonesofar · 24/06/2015 12:44

madame Like night says you've got the best reason to lose the weight now, you will feel better for it and you will get to enjoy those beautiful kicks x

sammy I hope it is just wind! Or maybe you're hungry? Surely it cannot go wrong on ivf month! I will not allow it Angry

MadameLeota · 24/06/2015 12:51

Thank you ladies, just got to focus on feeling good and healthy for me and hopefully a baby will come in time.

sammy have you tried some peppermint tea? fx it's just digestion!

Hairstylisttoboris · 24/06/2015 13:06

sammy it's probably just nerves. I can get I dodgy stomach when I've got something big on the horizon. Try to stay calm. Drink peppermint tea if you like IT and eat light and healthy foods. Do you do gentle relaxing yoga?

loopylou1984 · 24/06/2015 13:09

It feels just like period pains... I do get it towards the end of my cycle, but not usually this strong. Hopefully it is nerves or being made worse by bowel stuff too! Xx

ThePug · 24/06/2015 13:42

sammy How many DPO are you? What is your chart looking like? Hmm
