I'm spotting, right on cue. At least now I get to go and have a look at the surprise lamb one of my PILs' sheep just had. Squee. Thanks to a 25 day cycle I'm still in for the end of July, have just bought some opks to up my game considerably!

Hi birchy sorry for the delay getting back to you, it's been a hectic weekend and only just got logged back on.

I'm not sure whether they will offer you a scan, I know with my app before they said because I'd had a scan they wouldn't need to do one. I'm like you and haven't actually been diagnosed with any problems. I think that they like to do scans to check nothing's going on- but really don't know what the process will be as last time I was lucky enough to have already had one done. It may also depend which fertility clinic you go to, not sure if different ones do things differently, I'm down south (hence name :) ) already been waiting a couple of weeks for an app, still not heard anything yet.

Hi all, I'm half way through tww, due to test on 6/7/15.
Only on cycle 2 and last month was very excited during this time waiting to find out.
This month I've seemed to have lost all interest, even though I did more research into when I ovulate and dtd more, I just don't feel it will happen this month.
Does anybody else ever feel like that?

Yes, Snowflake, know exactly what you mean, have felt both ways and been completely wrong in the past though....so you never know!!

Is anyone using opks? I need to wrap my head around it... so you get a positive and do it on that day? Or the day after? Or do you take a test every day and do it before you get a positive? That makes me sound like an idiot... I just want to get it right!

Hey ladies joining you here. TTC #1, this will be cycle 3. I have a question about cycle days. I have just in the past couple of hrs started with some reasonably light spotting, usually my period just comes straight away full flow. If it does come full flow tomorrow presumably, is today or tomorrow CD1?

A bit about myself - have 1 DD, 16 months. Decided this month to start ttc #2. DD was a 1st try success, so ttc is very new to me. We are not very highly sexual as a couple so this month did it once on the last day of my fertile window according to my IPeriod app, then felt clear ovulation pain two days later (that was last Tuesday). I've had on and off cramps since Friday, but AF isn't due until next Sunday. I haven't a clue what to think but assuming it's a BFN, so hoping to learn ready to really try in July. Any pointers would be hugely appreciated

Hi Princes AF gone now and awaiting a positive opk. CD11 today, should be in fertile window by tuesday but started dtd since CD9 just incase. Glad you got your positive opk.

Suz I think there are different approaches to timing DTD around your OPK results. In general I think you start testing daily (not FMU) about a third of the way through your cycle and start DTD as much as possible from around the same time (sperm lives 5-7 days so start early, shag often). For me this is from around CD9/10. You should start to see the test line get darker every day as you build to your peak. Your peak is when the test line is darker than the control line. You carry on DTD for another couple of days after your positive OPK because uou will most likely ovulate 12-24 hours after your peak and the egg survives a day or so after release.

Once you have your positive OPK you can stop testing

Thank you carrot! That's really helpful. I'm on super short cycles at the moment (25 days with at least a 7 day period) so think I'll be starting right after my period finishes! I've resolved to try to eat a bit better this month and look into vitamins - I've been taking a conception multivitamin but wondering if I should take extra zinc or anything.

lovely you're being a crazy lady - 9 dpo is TOO EARLY. Nearly half of actual pregnancies aren't detectable at 9 dpo

9 dpo is the average day of implantation and there isn't enough hcg to detect until a few days after implantation.

You're not out of the running at all.

I got my peak reading on Friday but temps are only gradually starting to rise now so am not sure what is going on - ff still hasn't identified an O day for me.

southy I am also a southy - SW direction though. Well I guess its a wait and see what is going to happen. fx we wont need it and get upduffed before then

Lovely, when is AF due? Don't give up hope yet. I'm going to test Friday, I'll be two days before AF. Hoping we all get good results
