Quick question - does anyone use an app? If so which one tends to be the most user friendly?

CarrotVan · 07/07/2015 20:38

I'm using fertility friend - comprehensive but not entirely user friendly

I'm using the Glow app London, I actually really like it! I haven't tried any others but can definitely recommend.

Good luck with the opks louwn, I've just started on them too!

Sizzle81 · 07/07/2015 21:09

Hi everyone, thank you all for your kind words and support. Just got in from my visit. OH had biopsy today (said it was very painful) and we should get 1 part of the results tomorrow! He is bragging that he is the "hot topic" for the Drs as they are all quite interested in finding out what's up (which is great) and makes me happy to see OH in good spirits.

I use an app called Glow. I did try the Ovia app but it had a ton of questions which I found annoying (I do have a USA phone, so not sure if I had the USA version as it had a lot about genetic testing (pretty sure that's not NHS standard))

Fx for Thurs Carrot and Birchy xx

Fuba · 07/07/2015 21:22

Ohh sizzle I use the ovia app... I think it's good but I've only tried that one along with ff which I didn't get on with and period diary which I don't think is detailed enough and for some reason I can't get it to track my cycles properly
I also (shamefully) use a pregnancy app and change the due date every month just to see if I was pregnant what would be happen and when the big scan dates would fall ... I promise I'm not insane Blush

louwn · 07/07/2015 21:46

Fuba I count the dates every month too! We can be weird together : )

Indomitable · 07/07/2015 21:48

Fuba I can understand that!

Sizzle - glad you and DH are finding the positive. Hope tomorrow's results are all good.

I use Clue as my regular period tracker - it's simple and not girly like me! I'm thinking about trying one of the more fertility centered ones though, especially if I have to hop onto the August bus.

I know 5DPO is too early for symptoms but... (ready for the irrationality?)... The rage has continued, and I have a mighty hunger going on. Although I am also feeling a bit cold-y, so could be that!

birchygoo · 07/07/2015 22:04

itsme fx for your fertility appt next week. you have to let me know how you get on.

sizzle glad things are looking a little more positive today. at least your dh has attracted the doctors attention and therefore will get great care. those doc's don't like not being able to solve something!

carrot thur feels sooo far away! help!

pingoose · 07/07/2015 22:09

london I use Ovia, and really like it! It's a bit American, but good :)

Vikkijayne2507 · 07/07/2015 22:25

Yeah I will get some cheap opks I did last time and they worked very well I only needed them 1 month and had a load spare. I guess maybe get a load a try every other day until af shows up

Good to have a clueless friend crunchy

Indomitable · 07/07/2015 22:28

I've just downloaded Ovia For a little look. It reckons the unusual CM I've been having the last couple of days could be an early indicator of pregnancy. I had no idea that was a symptom. (It described the texture as 'school glue'!)

Well that's not going to help the crazy! Especially as I'm sure it is completely out of the ordinary for me.

RalucaMorena · 07/07/2015 23:31

I had lots of " school glue" cm with one of my pregnancies. Loads actually! gl!

Indomitable · 08/07/2015 06:31

Thanks raluca Grin I feel like my crazy has been validated!

birchygoo · 08/07/2015 06:39

Think I'm out this month Hmm been up since 5:30 with cramps Hmm

Emilygremily · 08/07/2015 06:55

been up for ages this morning :( decided to unpack the kitchen so I could have a cup of tea and chill there is too much stress flying around this house :( can't wait to be unpacked and living

CarrotVan · 08/07/2015 07:49

I'm sorry birchy. That's early isn't it?

I know the feeling emily we've been having building work for the last 5 months and I'm am sick of living with boxes and dust

It's sort of great that your husband has an interesting case, sizzle. The team will probably be in touch with teams across the country that will help analyse and diagnose. My nephew is an interesting case and he's got people from Philadelphia, Texas, Cambridge, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham all helping out

birchygoo · 08/07/2015 08:55

carrot yes it is early Shock it hasn't quite arrived yet - just the cramps

My original dates I am due tomorrow but because ovulation was late ff pushed my date for af to arrive back to 12th.

My temp did drop below the cover line as well this morning but I dont know how accurate that is because I woke up at 5:30 so had to take my temp then.

I took it again at 7:30 (my normal time) and it was back up again but by that time I had been up and had housework done.

So I'm not sure if I can use any of those temps Confused

Are you still having symptoms this morning?

marmitemofo · 08/07/2015 10:27

sorry to hear you think AF is on its way birchy. hopefully the cramps mean nothing. I had early cramps and thought AF was on its way and then nothing so keeping my fx for you.

can definitely sympathise with moving house/building work emily and carrot. we bought our current house two years ago when I was 6 months pregnant with DD, and of course because was pregnant, and then had time sucking machine young baby, we never properly sorted out the house and still have some boxes unpacked and random crap that never found a home. plus our house is old and things keep breaking (fence got blown down recently, fixed that then brick wall in garden fell down!), so the cycle of fixing/building/sorting etc is never ending.

indomitable sorry not going to help with the crazy haha but this cycle my cm was school glue like after ov (and still is, sorry tmi), and I did wonder at the time if it meant anything but had never read about it being a symptom or anything.

glad you and DH are feeling positive sizzle, keeping my fx for you that everything works out ok

birchygoo · 08/07/2015 11:08

Maybe marmite - but it does feel exactly heavy feeling of af and bloating. I'm also not wanting to get hopes up to much as I did struggle last month when af arrived.

I fed think trying early and getting bfn breaks me into a definite bfn. Last month I don't get chance to test and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Now though with bfn other day I'm expecting it to arrive

birchygoo · 08/07/2015 11:25

Omg my stupid txt predict - not I fed

I meant

I feel testing

Sunshinegirl2015 · 08/07/2015 15:02

Hello! I've just joined mumsnet today so first post.

Is it too late to join the July train?

If not age 26, ttc cycle 5, on average a 33day cycle, currently on day 20 and second day of static smiley face on clearblue OPK, due to test for BFP on 22nd July!

This is the first month I've really felt positive and just have that feeling so fingers and toes crossed!

RalucaMorena · 08/07/2015 15:59

I keep getting egg white cm since yesterday but negative opk (cd11 ). I hope this means I'll ovulate before cd18... oh! And in the last 2 months I had no cm basically. Month I took maca root so maybe it worked balancing hormones? ??

louwn · 08/07/2015 16:03

Can I have an opinion please ladies? I started OPKs yesterday at CD10. Very faint test line yesterday. However today at CD11 line is much darker (see pic). Its just about lighter than the control line but didn't expect such a change in one day. Do you think it is still negative?
