Not long to wait banana :) I was trying to work out when I should test/when Id be late, according to ff I'm only 7dpo even tho I am starting to get my stomach twinges.

I don't like to test so maybe it's safe to say I should wait til next Sunday I make it that long.

I don't know loads about charts but still have fx for you dizzy and merry and if this months not the month roll on next cycle for you both x

DizzyMerry · 06/06/2015 21:15

I have my fx for you banana and southy.

I didn't do my temp this morning because I didn't sleep well and just kept tossing and turning. My alarm went off at 7 and I just switched it off and fell asleep! I don't think it'll make much of a difference as AF is due from today.

BananaRaces · 06/06/2015 21:34

Thanks Dizzy, FX for you too, and Southy. Smile

BananaRaces · 06/06/2015 21:35

And Merry too, of course! Smile

BananaRaces · 06/06/2015 21:36

I mean Northern, sorry, your names are obviously a little too similar for my rubbish brain! Grin Blush

Southy84 · 06/06/2015 22:58

Thanks banana

Ohh today I booked myself a reflexology app, I'm going to start being more pro-active with things and try to stop moping around. Even if these things start costing me money I need to start trying them, at least whilst I'm waiting for results. Is anyone able to let me know what to expect?

MissMartin10 · 06/06/2015 23:08

DizzyM well if af was due today and the witch hasn't appeared yet then its a good sign!? are you going to test soon? Smile x

DizzyMerry · 06/06/2015 23:54

I'm not going to test miss as I'm fully expecting her to turn up. My cycles are between 27 and 31 days so she's still got plenty of time yet. I can't bear to see a bfn Sad

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/06/2015 06:54

dizzym it feels wrong saying this but fx she turns up today then you can forge ahead onto next cycle!

Thanks southy!

Another temp drop this morning, it's now down to 36.02!! Confused The beep on the thermometer has gone a bit weird, I'm wondering if it's battery is running flat which could explain the flat temps but I'm trying not to allow myself that this is all just a thermometer problem because I've done this once before...... So bought a thermometer but charts are still showing a lack of ovulation! So the problem must be me and I have to start accepting that. I would have still seen a rise even if the thermometer is on the blink.

Last anovulatory cycle my af arrived on cd33, I'm currently cd26 so still hot a week to go. Hurry up af!

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/06/2015 06:56

Oops I meant thanks banana lol

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/06/2015 06:57

Oops I meant thanks banana lol

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/06/2015 07:01

Ugh just realised my post makes now sense (early morning lol). I meant that I can't allow myself to start thinking my shitty temps are all down to a thermometer problem, as I did that last time I had an anovulatory cycle.... I spent so much time researching infertility and was obsessing about why I hadn't ovulated but convinced myself in the end that my thermometer was the problem. So I bought a new one and now the same thing has happened again, so I must have a problem with my hormones or something.

Southy84 · 07/06/2015 08:29

I'm convinced my thermometer is up the shoot too dizzy because my temps were low so I compared with a normal thermometer and the Normal one was a degree higher. My dh said that's what I should expect with a £4 thermometer, so maybe they aren't as accurate as they should be... I can't seem to find a middle ground one though that is sensibly priced!

MissMartin10 · 07/06/2015 09:45

southy i just looked for you then. . your so right they go from being like £4/5 to like £50 dont they?? weird there's no like £20 ones Hmm

MissMartin10 · 07/06/2015 09:46

What does the little A mean before the poundsign? it annoys me lol

BananaRaces · 07/06/2015 11:02

I've thought about getting a second thermometer to compare the two temps, but I think that way craziness lies! Grin

DizzyMerry · 07/06/2015 11:13

Thinking about it you may be right dizzy and southy as the beep on my thermometer has gone a bit 'flat' and my temps have been rather low this cycle. I think I might get another one to compare as it'll put my mind at ease.

Southy84 · 07/06/2015 13:38

I know it's so odd isn't it miss?! I wouldn't call it craziness banana Id call it a scientific experiment hehe let's all invest in a second thermometer! Grin

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/06/2015 17:57

My first thermometer had my temps permanently very high....even pre ov it showed as 36.6 and over but after ov it barely increased so although my chart was biphasic the temps didn't seem to be the sustained required.2 and more to confirm ov. Then I had a supposed anovulatory cycle with that one so I bought another.

I got off to a good start with #2 as last months chart looked really good. However, my pre ov temps were 36.15+ so a whopping .5 degrees lower than thermometer #1! I'm sure my body hasn't changed that much in the space of a month!

I did also purchase in between #1 and #2 a Mercury bbt thermometer off amazon for 15 quid, but for some reason this one seems to be permanently stuck at 36.6 degrees! I've even tried running it under the cold tap and the Mercury doesn't move?! I should ask for a refund really!

So either my body is doolally, or I've been really unlucky three times with shit thermometers.

But yes, I am a bit crazy Confused Grin

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/06/2015 17:59

dizzym maybe it's worth trying a new battery? I might do the same

DizzyMerry · 07/06/2015 19:51

I didn't even think about the batteries dizzy probably because I've only had it for a couple of months but there's quite a difference between last cycles temps and this cycles. Will change the batteries and see whether it makes a difference but I am tempted to get another one to compare.

Southy84 · 07/06/2015 22:41

See mine are very low, started at about 35.30, I even got dh to test his and he was always in the 35s too. It's now worked its way up to 36's but the normal thermometer is on 37's...

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/06/2015 09:22

Hmm this is just reinforcing my doubts about the reliability of these thermometers. All we need is to see a temperature rise but the temps should at least be roughly consistent with actual bodily temps. southy that is way too low.... Surely it's bordering on hypothermic?! And the fact that your dh is also reading low just shows that the thermometer must be inaccurate.

Today's temp was 36.10 AGAIN. That's the last six days apart from yesterday now...... Surely it can't be right?! When you look at the ff chart gallery even the anovulatory charts for people that have thyroid issues or pcos have more fluctuation than that.....

I've written to Amazon to ask for a replacement for my Mercury thermometer. I only bought that because I thought it would rule out any doubts about the reliability of the digital ones. I'm not sure what to do in the meantime other than getting a new battery for my existing one.... I can't possibly fork out another fiver for a fourth thermometer.... What a waste of money!

DizzyMerry · 08/06/2015 10:24

My temps have been mostly under 36.30 and I think only once this cycle they went up to 36.57 but came right back down again and never shot up again. Rise wasn't much last cycle either. Today it was 36.06 (maybe because AF is due) and has been 36.22 the past two days. I think I need to invest in another thermometer.

TrixieRay · 08/06/2015 10:52

Hi ladies, still lurking.

DizzyNorthern, how frustrating. I had to replace my thermometer after a while, I think when I looked into replacing the battery it worked out more expensive than replacing the thermometer!

Carlton, congratulations Smile

Southy, grr, those evil pre AF cramps, bain of my life since I started TTC, the amount of time I spent googling 'cramps/pregnant' So pleased you are giving reflexology a go. It didn't get me my BFP but I found it really helped sort my cycles out, they became like clockwork and cramps and PMT improved. Helped me stay positive too.
At your first session the reflexologist will probably take info on your cycle and general health/diet etc. My sessions last about an hour and I just completely relax. Sometimes depending on which area is being worked on it can be a little bit painful but completely bearable. Enjoy Smile
