So we've been for our scan... And we saw a heartbeat and a tiny person! It's measuring the right sizes for 7 weeks and she said everything looked great! It hasn't sunk in yet!!!! Xx

clairemorgan81 · 09/06/2015 14:35

Ahh fab philippa so happy for you Smile xx

Choccywoccydodah · 09/06/2015 14:41

Eeeek Philippa!! Gorgeous little blob!!! How relieved you must be you got in today!!

Louise, is that your dating scan date? Have you had your booking appt yet as they should've rang then and there to book your scan date! That what L and D told me to do as I was going to Dublin so had to get it in before.
Don't worry, you'll be fine :)

Gen glad af arrived (in a weird way!) you can crack on now!!

All good here. Been sat in our what will be nursery for about an hour looking at the work that needs to be done (a lot as we've got to chop a bit of the room off to put in a bathroom for baby and ds who is in the room next door. They're on the top floor and there's no loo up here at the mo which is a pain for ds in the middle of the night if he needs the loo as he has to go on a potty in his room instead!). Also looking at all the bags of clothes from ds which I can start sorting out whether to sell or keep after tomorrow woohoo!! Will keep you posted obvs!

Indiedog · 09/06/2015 15:52

Ahh Phillippa, I am made up for you. Been thinking of you all day, with fingers and toes crossed!!' It is very hard to get your head around that things are moving on! I still think now, I hope it's ok in there! My growing belly is telling me it must be!!
Sorry your holiday was a little disappointing, the way I would looked at it, was at least it was a distraction to be away for a while to take your mind of things. And now you have had a very reassuring scan, ThanksThanksThanksThanks eeek!

Choccy, your diy sounds a lot like ours!! Our house is a refurb job. Has been for a while!!! The funny thing is, I've now got pregnant and seem to be doing ok, just as we moved DD into the bigger bedroom and now the smaller one can be nursery! Coincidence maybe!
You have boys clothes, I have girls!!!! Watch this space, maybe we could have a bring and buy sale!!!, GrinGrin Swap shop!

Indiedog · 09/06/2015 15:56

Louise, glad your appts, come through. I didn't even write appointments on the calendar for scans!! Only just recently wrote my 20 week up.
Very exciting, and nerve wracking. I had my appointment with my trial nurse before my 12week scan, and I was a bag of nerves. She couldn't take my pulse etc to start with cos it was sky high!!! I had to calm down, big time.
You will be fine, once it's sunk in Wink

Choccywoccydodah · 09/06/2015 16:35

Ha ha indie I'll keep you to that!
Builder booked in for August but we just want to crack on! We've not done a thing since November! Said we'd get Xmas out the way, then obviously the trial and everything started February, then booking people in one by one was a nightmare as one person delayed and had a knock on effect etc.
It's knowing what order to do things too.
We need a new heating system as we currently have 2 boilers doing 2 floors each (large 4 storey Victorian), so we want 1 commercial boiler so plumber coming next week to look to do that and some solar panels etc. It's a big job this house I know, but I want it done like yesterday lol!

Marchgirl · 09/06/2015 19:15

Ah. Lovely philippa. Can't believe you're 7 weeks already!

OP posts:
philippa88 · 09/06/2015 19:31

Thanks girls :) I can't believe I'm just over 7 weeks either! It's just an odd feeling as I'm struggling to believe it's actually inside me! It doesn't seem real at all! Baby is measuring 8.4mm atm - crazy!! X

girliesaints · 10/06/2015 06:35

Philippa, glad to see the scan went well.

Hope the testing isn't too draining for those in the middle of it x

clairemorgan81 · 10/06/2015 10:35

good luck for today choccy can't wait to hear if pip is blue or pink x

Marchgirl · 10/06/2015 10:55

Good luck for the scan chocy

I broke and tested this morning. Bfn with a frer. Not a surprise, don't know why I bothered. I'm an addict!

OP posts:
girliesaints · 10/06/2015 11:39

Good luck choccy. Looking forward to knowing if team pink or blue!

Match, totally understandable why you tested. Sorry it's not positive but early days

clairemorgan81 · 10/06/2015 11:45

bfn here as well March. how many dpo are you again x

Marchgirl · 10/06/2015 12:04

Only 9. I think we're the same aren't we? Nearly did a cheapy test instead just to satisfy my poas habit but then thought that was silly as the only thing it'll show up on this early is frer. But still nothing on that! Oh well. Never had bfp this early before and at least I got my bogof on frer!

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 10/06/2015 12:12

yes I'm 9dpo too. it just puts me in a foul mood although I've been like for days now. af definitely on way for me I think.
good luck with your testing March xx

Choccywoccydodah · 10/06/2015 12:50

So sorry about the bfns, early days ladies keep going xxx

Kazz2112 · 10/06/2015 13:05

It's the worst feeling isn't it? I actually think it gets easier as AF gets closer. Still very early. Fingers crossed. X

LouiseM1987 · 10/06/2015 13:05

Good luck choccy can't wait to here if it's team blue or pink !

X

clairemorgan81 · 10/06/2015 13:32

jazz I agree it gets easier the nearer you get to af. I'm losing hope of ever conceiving again at this rate. it a so frustrating. its like it's just not meant to be. sorry I'm such a moan ladies I warned you I HATE this testing carry on!! x

clairemorgan81 · 10/06/2015 13:32

kazz I mean!!

Kazz2112 · 10/06/2015 13:44

I hated it and it was only month one. I feel your pain. Stay strong! We will get our happy endings and we'll appreciate them all the more for what we've all been through

SushieS · 10/06/2015 16:45

Hello all…

Been away waiting patiently as I went to start the trial last week and unfortunately couldn’t get accepted as I was still testing positive from my last MC – apparently it’s takes a couple of weeks for the hormones to return to normal… really frustrating. I still went away with a bag full of goodies, pregnancy and ovulation kits and was really pleased I got to meet L & D in the flesh. We decided to keep trying as I was also due to ovulate in that period and just hope (if we did conceive) that I got a BFN before the BFP showed up (in order for me to be able to join the trial) Which has happened… so I’m now fully on board! YAAAAY –can’t wait to get going and fingers crossed I get a BFP in the next week or so….and if not this month I’m with you Kazz, will be enjoying a glass or two of prosecco in the sun - hope you’re okay though and not too disappointed – I feel the same as you both (Kazz / Claire), that is the only thing I could say was fully functioning and I could rely on, so it’s really upsetting when you get a BFN.

Hope you’re okay Gen / March… I’m feeling it’s going to feel a very long month also as this is the first time I have ever tested so far in advance.

Wow Louise and Philippa, just seen your scan pictures, strange that when you see friends and families scans you don’t really register them, but with yours I completely understand how precious it is to get to that stage – bet it must feel so surreal.

Louise – get Sharon to stick lots of positive needles in you tonight!!!

How exciting Choccy – bet you can’t wait to find out.

xxx
