I can highly recommend acupuncture. Was very sceptical but I think it's worked.

Hey ladies! I've been patiently waiting for my af as I was told I couldn't start trial until I had one cycle after mc, have waited 7 weeks and this morning I have booked a phone appoitment with Dr to see if there's a way to start it off, I go on holiday on June 21st and really don't want it then! Just my luck it will start while on plane on way there :( xx

Marchgirl · 08/06/2015 12:17

Oh gen, i was just thinking about you the other day. How annoying! I take it you are negative on a hpt? I sound like a broken record, but again, acupuncture can help to bring on af and normalise your hormone levels. Helped me after mc4 to make it come properly and also to sort me out last month after taking the progesterone, as i spotted for several days when it should have been af. Day After acu it started properly. (Could have been a coincidence of course! ) hope it comes soon. I think gps sometimes put you on the pill for a few months to normalise cycles, just wanted to mention it so you're prepared for that and you can have a think in advance about whether you want to do that

Acupuncture to trigger ovulation? Interesting. I'm still working on my needle phobia bit what better way to test!

clairemorgan81 · 08/06/2015 13:39

I've just started acupuncture I had 2nd session Friday, I'm hoping it helps with spotting and gets my cycles a little better. we 'll see. She said it should with my moods prior to af so even that alone is worth it!! I can't feel any difference yet but early days!

kazz I am total needle phobic but barely feel them they are teeny x

Marchgirl · 08/06/2015 13:50

Well, I don't think it actually triggers ovulation but rather normalises the hormones, so brings it back to the natural balance and helps you ov more normally ie around cd13 or cd14. I've been going for a few months now and it started to improve on the second month (but first month i got pg and mc). Not really sure how it works but my basal temperatures were too high so ovulation was delayed. I think my body was getting ready to ov earlier but never making it until later in the cycle which can lead to the egg being a bit too mature. Bbt is now consistently about 0.2 lower and the months when it's been lower I've had earlier ov.

I really believe it brought on my bleeds though when I needed them. She said she was using points to flush out the hormones. If you look at the sides of you tongue at the front then you might see little red spots. That's supposed to be signs of extra hormones in the system. She used needles in the sides of my calves and top of the foot near the toes to do this (I think). I find it all fascinating and whilst I don't necessarily understand (or really believe) all the TCM legends behind what's going on, it seems to work!

Well dr rang said that she can't do anything to make af happen but she can give me tablets to keep it away while I'm on holiday so I suppose that was something! I've been tested negative on clear blue and first response since a few days after my last miscarriage....

Any how's. ..came off phone to dr went to toilet and well there she was in all her glory!

clairemorgan81 · 08/06/2015 13:57

she uses same places on me March so at least they are doing same thing!! I think depending which week of cycle I am depends on areas she focuses on x

clairemorgan81 · 08/06/2015 13:58

pleased af finally has arrived gen and at least you can enjoy your hols and start afresh if that's makes sense x

Marchgirl · 08/06/2015 13:59

Great news gen! She obviously just needed a little threat to get her started Wink

OP posts:
Genwah85 · 08/06/2015 14:04

I feel like a lil threat was all it needed! I'm glad it has come get it out the way and start a fresh for definate just hope I catch as quick as normal! X

Kazz2112 · 08/06/2015 14:09

Does that mean you'll be testing the same times as me then Gen? AF arrived this morning for me. Will be good to have someone to hand hold at the same stage

Genwah85 · 08/06/2015 14:17

Yes oh that will be great to have someone going through this month as can imagine it will be a long one! Never wanted an af as much as this one and I'm in no rush for another for a long time!

Kazz2112 · 08/06/2015 19:56

I found this month very frustrating. But obe thing I love about this board is there's always someone to hand hold and they truly do understand

Genwah85 · 08/06/2015 20:46

I tried to avoid the board last few weeks :( only due to frustration waiting for this damn af! But it's here now! Yey! So be ready for alot of frustration and moaning from me!! It was happy moment putting the pregnency tests in my suitcase ready for later in month! Fingers crossed for an extra birthday prezzie and a nice positive! (Planning ahead a lil too much maybe)

Marchgirl · 08/06/2015 20:51

Good luck for this cycle both of you x

Hope are you feeling about testing tomorrow claire?

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 08/06/2015 20:58

good luck ladies Smile

I'm feeling okay. I just can't be bothered with it if I'm honest. I feel dead negative at the minute and feels like it's not going to be this month to be honest I feel likes it never going to happen. are you testing thurs what dpo is that for you March? how you feeling this month x

Kazz2112 · 08/06/2015 22:14

Where are you both upto? Pg tesring? Sending lots of positive thoughts and good luck to both of you.x

Marchgirl · 09/06/2015 08:58

I'm going to try and hold out til Thursday. 10dpo. But realistically I'll probably crack tomorrow morning. Don't feel anything at all so far, despite trying to convince myself I'm a bit more tired, hungry, had a vivid dream last night etc etc, but if I'm honest I'm just looking for things that aren't there. I think I normally can feel it by now so not feeling hopeful.

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 09/06/2015 09:06

i tested this morning I'm 8dpo. bfn as expected x

philippa88 · 09/06/2015 10:34

I'm back lovely ladies!!!

I couldn't get on the thread while I was on holiday and it was so frustrating!! Sorry to hear of the BFN's - you will get there, I know it's hard but you will!
Our holiday was so so, the hotel wasn't great and the all inclusive food was not impressive at all! I could barely eat and lost 4 pounds!!
I'm currently 6+5 according to the trial but 7+3 from lmp. I was told to
ring the nurse this morning to go in for a scan but epac are saying they can't fit me in till Thursday!! Waiting on the nurse calling me back as she's asking another department if they will scan me. I really hope it's today, atm I just can't seem to imagine there's something growing inside me! I keep thinking it's all in my head and there's going to be nothing on the scan when they do it. Really hope she calls back to say it's today.... X

Kazz2112 · 09/06/2015 11:44

Let us know how you get on Philippa! Shane about the holiday. Where did you go?

Marchgirl · 09/06/2015 12:42

Good luck for the scan philippa

Sorry for bfn claire, even though is expected. Any symptoms for you?

OP posts:
LouiseM1987 · 09/06/2015 13:08

Claire sorry for your bfn it is still early fingers crossed.

I've just come home for lunch to be greeted with my official 12 week scan and I haven't stopped crying since ! I'm so scared I want to cancel it completely ! I need to rearrange as we will be on holiday that day well coming home but I won't make it ! Xx

clairemorgan81 · 09/06/2015 13:38
