I wouldn't worry about the day after that kaz, it's the day of ov and the day before that are the most important ones, followed by the few days before that. I think they say the days after ov are very unlikely to make any difference as the egg can't survive for long if it's not fertilised, so i think you'll be covered with the others. Fingers crossed for you Smile

Kazz, I got my BFP 10days Post ovulation. Got my smiley 15th March, got my BFP 25th March, very faint, I took the test apart as I thought I could see a line. Then I did another that Eve after work, and it was darker.
So I think it does vary greatly.
Don't get disheartened, as we are all different.

Marchgirl · 30/05/2015 18:16

Oh, and I've never had a bfp before 11 dpo, and that was on a frer, so don't be surprised if you don't get anything before 12 or 13 on the trial tests (just don't want you to get disheartened).

Snap advice indie!

thinking of you girlie.hope your recovery is going okay.

good luck with testing kazz.Smile hope you have a bfp this month.

I'm on cd13 so doing ov tests at the minute. expect my smiley anywhere from tomorrow to CD17.

March what's your plan this month? I'm not clued up on progesterone and when you start etc x

Kazz2112 · 30/05/2015 18:59

That sounds good then. Prior to getting the smiley we dtd at least once a day for the 5 days prior to it! It sounds ridiculous but with me being off work this week after I've been able to lounge about in bed a bit. Hopefully giving them some assistance with gravity! Fingers crossed.

I've no symptoms atm other than being extremely tired but that may well just be the miles and miles walked around Barcelona. I also got hone from our trip and all I can smell is the bin but DH claims he can't smell it. Could just be an excuse because he wants to watch football / cricket and not be doing chores!

I'm due to get my results back from my 3rd lupus screening on monday So will have a more clear idea of possible Hughes / antiphospholipid syndrome then. Going to be a big week next week for results.

girliesaints · 30/05/2015 19:07

I'm fine ladies. Been looked after by DH & dd, although they have been out for most of the day to give me some peace.

Starting to get a nice bruise on my tummy and apart from feeling a bit sore I'm fine.

In terms of testing I was dpo13 last time before I got a definite line, although I had a shadow two days before but I assumed it wasn't a positive but in hindsight properly was.

Marchgirl · 30/05/2015 19:26

Glad your people are looking after you girlie Flowers. Is the bruise from erpc?

I was planning to wait until cd14 to opk test claire, but ended up testing yesterday and today (cd11) as I've had fertile cm for 3 days. Still negative opk but it's very confusing. Having said that, the last 2 months I've had a bit of fertile cm a couple of times around this time, but not as much or for as long. Probably still be cd17 after all that! Progesterone doesn't start til 7dpo so got a while before that.

girliesaints · 30/05/2015 19:34

It is March. I bruise easily so not a surprise and had the same last time.

girliesaints · 30/05/2015 19:35

Claire, meant to say have my Pom
Poms at the ready!

Marchgirl · 30/05/2015 20:05

Ouch!

Good luck kaz! In the past I always got bfp's around 12/13 dpo..This time I got it 11 days after the smiley, so reckon about 9/10dpo.
I'm officially 6 weeks today, I feel like it's a milestone!

Those who are pregnant - how far are you all now?

And those waiting for bfp's, my fingers are crossed! Xx

Kazz2112 · 30/05/2015 21:03

I will make sure I provide daily updates each morning. Assuming I manage a successful test! Why is it the second you have a stick in your hand its impossible to pee in a straight line! Oh the joys!

Indiedog · 30/05/2015 21:31

Glad your on the mend girlie xx

Kazz, I never peed on the sticks, always in the little pot they gave me. That way you can push it up against you (tmi) and catch the wee!!

Phillippa, six weeks, that's great. When's you scan?
We are going to book a private scan for just after 16weeks, as husband asked today, when can we find out what sex it is, and I still need the reassurance!! That's the actual first bit of acceptance hubby has shown. He's been trying to keep his cool for my benefit, bless him, he actually mentioned all the clothes we have from DD too!
By scan I am 13wks 3, but trial I will be 13 on Monday.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

Kazz2112 · 30/05/2015 21:43

Lol. I usually use a little pot too but still seem to mess up! Lol!

I can't even contemplate the prospect of scans atm. The idea of going for a scan once we've got a bfp fills me with terror. I've never had a scan that had a positive outcome so psychologically it's going to be really really tought

Indiedog · 30/05/2015 21:43

Random thought......

Not sure what you all know about the injections, but I'm sure one side effect is raising your white blood cells, the ones that fight bugs! That's why they do booking bloods, so it doesn't unblind you.

So if I was on the drug, I would have high white cells.
I've been off the injections for nearly one week, and I feel like I'm coming down with a stinking cold! Runny nose, eyes and haven't stopped sneezing!
Just said to hubby, that maybe I was on the drug, and now I'm not, maybe my WBCs are going back to normal and I'm more susceptible to a cold now!!

Hmmm, interesting! Might email the trial team with my little hypothesis.

Indiedog · 30/05/2015 21:44

Haha, Kazz, use a bigger pot!!!! WinkWink I used my measuring jug once!! Safe to say I didn't use the jug for cooking again!

philippa88 · 30/05/2015 21:50

Hahaha a measuring jug! I'm classy and use an orange shot glass lol.. Lush!
I would be having a scan next Thursday but I'm on holiday! We get back Monday so have to go for our first scan on the Tuesday. Weird to think I'll be having a scan, still not sure I'll get there but trying to he positive!

Indie I reckon you're onto something with your theory - it would make sense! X

Kazz2112 · 30/05/2015 21:51

Lol. I have a specially reserved pot that DH has been warned never to removsyite. our en suite. Because its identical to about 10 others I have in the kitchen! The ensuite looks like a branch of boots with everything lined up out of view of FIL. He wouldn't understand it all and he's had suxh a terrible year I couldn't bear to build his hopes unnecessarily!

Kazz2112 · 30/05/2015 21:52

A shot glass??? Are you serious?! How o earth?! I am in awe!!!

The wbc theory definitely sounds feasible indie. Do the trial nurses have access to your blood results?

Marchgirl · 30/05/2015 22:16

Wow kaz, they gave you a good stock. I only got 2 packs of opk in total. I have a yoghurt pot for the testing . Very glamorous. works ok though!

I had a flatmate once who used our shared measuring jug for that purpose then put it back. Yuck. Luckily I knew, as I went hunting when it was missing and found it in a bag in her room with a used hpt. I wanted to see if she put it back so never mentioned it. Needless to say she didn't last long after it reappeared in the kitchen. After she left I cleaned her room and the wall by her bed was plastered in bogies that she had obv wiped there at night. Boak. Shock. Not my best flatmate ever.

OP posts:
Kazz2112 · 30/05/2015 22:31

That is grim!!!!!! That beats my worst flatmate experience of a vegetarian tree hugger who asked me if I'd mind not using MY microwave for defrosting meat! Er... let me think on that one...

Quite pleased with my stash but I apparently have to return them if my latest blood results come back showing positive for the blood clotting thing because i won't be able to do the trial!

Indiedog · 30/05/2015 22:55

Kazz, all trial nurses don't have access to results as its a double blind trial, which means I and they don't know. Only the pharmaceutical company know. Not even sure my hospital pharmacy that dispense the syringes know.

Gross, never had to share with anyone, apart from hubby, and I can't kick him out for his gross habits Wink

Peeing in a shot glasses, that's a party trick in itself!
Your scan will be amazing Phillippa, I had tears in my eyes!

Choccywoccydodah · 31/05/2015 06:18

Girlie glad you're feeling a bit better. Hope your bruise heals quickly xxx

Blimey you lot have been chatty!! Shot glass Grin hilarious! But I used a hairspray lid which wasn't massive!

19+1 today for whoever asked! Feel massive!

Love the piccy of all the tests!!!! Hopefully won't be needed!!
