Sorry you're feeling down southy. Ttc is such an emotional roller coaster and feelings can change within seconds. Nobody can stay positive all the time and the month after month disappointment is soul destroying but we pick ourselves up and carry on. It will happen and this may be the lucky month for you Flowers

Southy84 · 06/05/2015 19:52

Thank you night and dizzy sat here crying and marathon catching up on obem by myself. I know I know it's stupid but I can't help myself. Maybe a good cry will make me feel better.

In more positive news dh has got a SA booked in for next week and if AF arrives I will finally be able be able to have my blood tests!

nightandthelight · 06/05/2015 19:58

Yay for tests southy :) fx they provide an easy solution! Take care of yourself lovely Flowers

I hope so night it sounds strange but it's nice to have something else to focus on :)

parsnipbob · 06/05/2015 20:07

Southy I am fine thanks, just waiting around for the big O! Think it happened today but DP has been away a lot so not really DTD enough this month. Suspect we are probably out this month but we'll see.

That's good news about your tests, onwards and upwards!

DizzyMerry · 06/05/2015 20:13

Not stupid at all and a good cry often makes us feel better. Good news about the upcoming tests. Positive steps Flowers

Brooke113 · 06/05/2015 20:19

So you lovely ladies seem to be very knowledgeable :) I don't temp, so don't know for certain if and when I'm ovulating. I got a smiley face on my clearblue opk on Monday, and had awful cramps allday. Today I did a cheapy opk, which was completely negative, not even a hint of a line. But I've had awful cramps again today and some Ewcm this morning. Have I really not ovulated yet? I thought the Ewcm would have gone if I had. Now I'm panicking I haven't ov'd yet,as dh is away for a couple of nights so we're unable to dtd.

Southy84 · 06/05/2015 20:20

There's too much waiting around for my liking when ttc parsnip and totally get that annoyance, dh is away a lot and that's another reason for no OPKs or anything this month as I don't want to be sad if he's not around and I get a positive.

I've been quickly skim reading back over the last few pages and wondered how you are doing dizzy you sound like you've been having some interesting symptoms, fx for you

parsnipbob · 06/05/2015 20:28

brooke difficult to say really without temps to confirm O

As far as I know some ladies produce EWCM at random times in their cycle...have known some to produce some after O as well as before. So I doubt you are out :) although it is so annoying when the OH's are away!!

DizzyMerry · 06/05/2015 20:35

Brooke I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shorty but here's my experience with opks. I get a smiley on one day only (cd13). This cycle I started to temp. Did an IC which was positive on cd13 and temps confirmed I ovulated on the same day Shock. So you may already have ovulated. I do get crampy after ov. It can be difficult to determine ov without temping though. Hopefully you've dtd leading up to positive opk.

Southy I'm trying to block it all out! This tww has gone on forever with no end in sight. I actually feel very rough today but I think that's because I've been running around for the past couple of weeks due to the family situation. Don't think you were around at the time but my sil mum passed away in Canada and she flew out there for a couple of weeks leaving her dc with DB. My sis is staying with them and I have been helping out. Things have been crazy.

DizzyMerry · 06/05/2015 20:36

Sorry for posting that and bringing you down with my doom and gloom Sad

Southy84 · 06/05/2015 20:45

Oh dizzy xxx sorry I hope you're ok. I have everything crossed for some lovely news for you. You haven't bought me down at all.
Hope you're looking after yourself as much as you can. Flowers

oddlyinpatient · 06/05/2015 21:01

Sorry for the delay teenie (!) I had to take my daughter into work. First time Ive been into the office since I went on mat leave!Â

I didn't test this morning...but after af still not arriving today - I caved this evening and tested. BFN. A day late. This waiting is killing me! Long cycles are rubbish! I agree! Every cycle takes forever!

zippy good luck at the doctors. That late surely they just offer you a blood test.Â

oddlyinpatient · 06/05/2015 21:01

just = must

Woolly84 · 06/05/2015 21:02

Evening ladies! Hope you're all okay, I've had a longgg day at work so just catching up now!

southy lovely to see you back, sounds like you needed the time away. Have a good cry and let it all out, I hope you feel better tomo Flowers

dizzym what a difficult month you've had, I hope it ends in a lovely BFP Smile

Woolly84 · 06/05/2015 21:03

Where is miismartin?? Hope you're ok x

parsnipbob · 06/05/2015 21:05

oddly sorry for BFN, you're not out til the horrible witch shows her ugly face tough!

dizzy hope you are doing ok Flowers

DizzyMerry · 06/05/2015 21:07

Thanks southy and woolly. You ladies say the loveliest things.

I've been thinking about miis too. Hopefully she's had a busy few days and will be back.

birchygoo · 06/05/2015 21:07

hi all you are all so knowledgeable and am hoping you can help. my cbfm told me my first peak ovulation was sat 21st. then I had 1 more peak and 1 more high which I understand happens automatically. day21 (1st) I then had blood tests to check ovulation. called gp surgery today and was told that results were fine - showed in line with ovulation. does this mean I only ovulated on the 1st? or do they measure some hormone that needs a week to show up?
back for more tests on Monday if AF shows up at weekend. Sad

DizzyMerry · 06/05/2015 21:12

Oddly sorry for bfn but fx it's just taking it's time to show up.

Parsnip I'm ok just exhausted today. DD must have noticed as she said to me today "gosh mummy, you don't look very well" Shock made me chuckle though!

ZippyBoo · 06/05/2015 21:14

Hi night
My stats are ttc #1, age 37, cycle 18 BFP was due on 26 April. Hmm Still no news.

Woolly84 · 06/05/2015 21:15

birchy hopefully somebody more knowledgeable can confirm, but I think the Day 21 test measures progesterone levels about 7 days before your period is due. A high enough level indicates ovulation has occurred that cycle, it will start rising after ovulation and peaks around a week after I think. So you probably did ovulate a day or two after your cbfm peak

oddlyinpatient · 06/05/2015 21:16

Thanks dizzy I'm not too worried yet cause I didn't get a bfp until dpo16 with my first. I'm so torn though cause I go on holiday tomorrow with the in-laws. Being in limbo and avoiding alcohol will be tricky! If af doesn't show tomorrow I think I'll need to warn DH! I haven't said anything yet as dont want to get his hopes up when I might just be a day or two late.

Rememberallball · 06/05/2015 21:19

Hello ladies, decided that we're in our tww despite the oddness of this month's cycle. Body feels totally different to last month, no sore boobs, have got over the dodgy stomach of yesterday and am enjoying the glass of wine tonight. Going to focus on next week and the D21 bloods rather than symptom spot or plan poas!!

Woolly84 · 06/05/2015 21:19

Sorry for BFN oddly, hope it's just going to be a late BFP for you Flowers

dizzym I've got a good feeling about you, some exciting signs there! Sorry you're feeling run down though lovely Flowers
