Still nothing from Lill Confused

Wonder how Lill is? She must be having cuddles by now with a snuffly newborn. I loved it when DS was tiny and snuffly. He is still snuffly, just bigger and livelier. He hit me in the face today waving his hand about. Smile

We have been up to Kielder and walked part of the way round the reservoir. DH was pushing and he said it was hard work. We managed about 8 miles in total and we are worn out. It is quite up and down in places- there is a path round the whole twenty seven miles if you had the energy. We have walked the whole thing before but it is hard with a buggy. It was lovely weather and we stopped and had a picnic. Only saw one other person and it was so peaceful and quiet and remote.

Hope DS is a bit better Duckey and enjoying his new food.

Have just got back from hospital. Ds had breathing problems againSad all is ok now, but they want me to keep an eye and take him back if anything changes Confused I am so tired! But won't get much sleep now Hmm

Hope lil is having snuggles! And hope she got her waterbirth!

Oo Lulu I bet that was nice. I love remote places it's so peaceful. Me and DS went on a walk yesterday as well. Only to the shop then a walk around the block it was nice weather. we then went to the park and had a bite to eat in the café there.

Ducky not again :( poor DS! Really hope he shifts this horrible thing and gets better. Big hugs to ur DS. And u!

Well I nipped into the chemist yesterday while at the shops and bumped into my midwife and quickly told her how much I'm worrying and that I brought this Doppler. She said I need to reduce my worry as its not good on me or baby and tried to reassure me. But said if the doppler will help just a little to use it but she doesn't reccommend them. She pointed out where I should place the doppler to try and hear the heartbeat. She said I can't be scared or worry if I can't find it as Its still early to hear with a Doppler.
But I gave it a go last night. I found my heart beat, sounded rather slow lol! And after about 45 mins I found babys. A lot lot faster than mine!! But it was amazing, I lay there listening and smiling and then baby moved and I couldnt get it again Grin
I'm glad I did it tbh as I now feel a lot better about my scan on Tuesday. So gonna leave it till my scan now :) it was Amazing tho!

I've been checking back for lil progress too. Hopefully she's had her little one and is just really busy!

Things are all very calm here, we had a good night with timings last night. PIL came yesterday to meet the new addition and we had a lovely takeaway with some nice prosecco.

DD is looking much less yellow, so I'm happy that her jaundice is almost gone now. She's eating well too! I've been expressing and formula feeding so she gets a bit of both.

cupcake I found the Doppler very reassuring. I know it's not an indication later in the pregnancy when you should be looking at reduced or increased movements but even then it was reassuring just to know she was still alive.

I think I picked up a HB at 6 weeks, took a while and I had to make sure I didn't get my own HB but it was easy to tell as DD was always like 120 beats per min or more.

Thanks Ducky :)

And yes I know I hope Lill is okay and enjoying cuddles :) I'm sure we will hear off her soon.

And Siarie exactly it was just nice to know baby is alive. I could easily tell which was my heartbeat as it was a lot slower, I picked up mine a lot before I found babys.
Glad everything is well at ur end siarie :) good to know DD is feeling better.

I'm fine, are you ok Cupcake? Is DS sleeping better?

We have had a quiet day- DH says he's aching where he didn't know he had muscles from that walk yesterday.

He's back at work on Monday. DS will miss him- he has had so much attention from him! They are like two oldmen - sitting watching the football on the sofa tonight. DS has got his Oleg and the grub toy and it is so cute. He likes the grub.

I am quite looking forward to having the house and DS to myself on Monday.

Has your ds calmed down cupcake? He didn't want to sleep the other night either did he Confused

Lulu, what do you dress ds in for bed recently? I always have the window slightly open so there's fresh air, he usually wears either a vest and a sleepsuit or just a sleepsuit and then he has his grobag on but I'm never sure if he's warm enough Confused sometimes I put his blanket over him too in the morning.

I'm fine thank u Lulu. DS was a little better last night. He fell asleep at 8:15 which has been the earliest In about a week! I was so so happy! Even got myself to bed at 9:30 so I could relax and get an early night. But DS woke up at 2:30am :( didn't manage to get him back to bed asleep till about half 3.
But last night was so much better than the other nights. It was nice to have some me time again before bed.
Aw bless ur DS I bet he's loved having daddy time. It'll be nice for u Lulu when DH goes back to work, u and DS can have some quality bonding time :)

Ducky I hope u managed to sleep! I think u deserve some ! My DS has never rele ever calmed down lol Grin I don't get why children will sleep so so well for u and just when ur getting used to it they decided they would rather not sleep at all!

Duckey- hope you had a goodnight. DS sleeps in his sleepsuit and grobag. If it has been really chilly, I put a vest on him. He never seems cold. We never put a blanket on him because he never seems cold.

We are just about to go out for a walk down through the fields to the dene and back along the cliff path. It's sunny but not too hot. He is wide awake and has been chewing his Oleg grub.

Hope u had a nice walk Lulu :)

Still waiting to hear from Lill !

Got my doppler out again today and found babys heartbeat straight away! :) it's on the left side of my stomach. Baby is right next to an artery or something because my heartbeat is right next to it. :) makes me so happy hearing it!
Scan is on Tuesday :)

That is lovely Cupcake - must be so reassuring.

Yes, had a nice walk but it was chilly on the cliff path. Am waiting for Sainsbury's to deliver the groceries so I can make tea. DH is giving DS his.

I expect Lill has her hands full and hasn't got a minute spare just now. Hope it is all going well.

How did your DH's weekend go Tori? Did you all enjoy it? How many weeks are you now?

DS is 16 weeks on Tuesday. I can hardly believe how quickly it has gone. Smile

Anything nice for dinner lulu? Ds is 19 weeks tomorrow, it's mad how quickly it's gone! What are your plans for weaning?

Glad your feeling reassured cupcake Smile is it one with a digital screen so you can see the HB rate?

Cupcake92 · 20/04/2015 07:30

No Ducky it doesn't have a screen which is a let down :( it's an Angel sounds one. But it's amazing and so clear. And only cost me £20! As it was on offer Grin

Work today then scan tomorrow! Still feeling nervous about it. Just want It all to go well.
I have an appointment with the consultant straight after and my midwife said if I wanted a water birth I need to mention it to the consultant now as I won't see him till I'm 36 weeks. There's only 1 water birth room in the consultant led part of the hospital :( I need to write a list of questions for him lol

I feel like I'm being tricked into a false sense of security. DD sleeps, eats and poops, three hour intervals then straight back to sleep.

It's making for a great rotation at night as me and DH are sharing the feeds. Something has to change it seems to easy at the moment, we even watched a film last night the whole way through and played a game together!

Oh and we went out for a coffee and cake, bumped into friends all while she slept Shock

I can't wait cupcake! Maybe find out what will happen if you go into labor and the pool room is occupied - sometimes at my hospital they would put people in the pool room when they didn't request water births Angry and maybe find out if they have the monitors that monitors baby when your in the pool?

Glad you had a nice time tori Smile you have a lot going on ATM! Make sure you get plenty of rest and don't over do it Grin

siarie, ds was very much like that when he was weeny, now it's a fight to get him to nap! Grin

Have just put him down for his morning nap Smile he's still poorly tho Hmm
