Oh lil Confused my h does that (the staying in bed for most of the day part!) it really irritates me because by the time he drags himself out we've missed most of the day Hmm well me and ds haven't, he has. We get up between 6.30/7.30 usually Smile
Yes I got him out vaginally, I didn't know it at the time but when I first started getting contractions it was all in my back, I thought id just been standing too long! Grin I think the reason for the episiotomy was they put the Epi in and that does something to your muscles apparently? And also is had 2 hours sleep in the last 48 and was getting exhausted Confused

Well, SIL and boyfriend have gone. Lovely time had by all. DS was a little sweetie and apart from an embarrassing incident in the middle of thenight when DH nipped to the loo for a pee and came out to bump into the boyfriend- DH was naked, boyfriend in bathrobe- all went off well.

But there was news! They are planning to move up here- his family come from Durham- and get married! We are really pleased. They decided at Easter and are telling PIL tonight.

It'll be really nice to have some family closer. They have gone off with loads of house details from estate agents. He has sold his flat and moved in with her and she rents hers. Her job can transfer here and he can work anywhere as he is an independent therapist. So we are hoping they'll be up here in the summer.

lillamyy1 · 15/04/2015 16:37

Great news Lulu! It'll be so nice for you to have them near, and nice for DS to have his auntie and uncle nearby.

Well, I've just got back from he midwife. She tried to do a sweep but my cervix was still posterior so no luck Sad But... I'm booked in for induction TOMORROW!!!!!! I'm completely terrified. And I feel so, so incredibly guilty because I feel like I'm forcing baby out before he's ready. I said that to the midwife and she said, yes but he might not ever be ready and you could wait another week and still have to have an induction.
I'm just really scared because my midwife reckons I'll most likely need the syntocinon drip and some kind of intervention e.g. ventouse or forceps if not EMCS because he's big Sad
I really had my heart set on a water birth with minimal pain relief and it looks unlikely that'll happen unless the pessary works, which it probably won't since my cervix isn't ready.
It's just I'm so, so sure I never want to be pregnant again, I haven't enjoyed it at all so this is the only time I'll give birth and it'll probably be the opposite of what I imagined and wanted Sad
I know I could wait but I'm just so enormous and heavy and my knees are killing me and I can barely sleep, and whats more they told me to reduce my anti depressant medication before I was term (so that baby won't be too dozy when he's born - I can up the dose when he's out) which I did so I'm also getting stressed/upset/anxious etc. which is making everything harder to deal with. So it was a choice of either wait another week or so, and in the meantime get physically tireder and more stressed and generally not very good mentally, or be induced now but give up all my plans of a natural, calm labour.

LuluJakey1 · 15/04/2015 17:15

And I totally agree about sleeping men. DH would sleep in every day if it wasn't for me. One day, after we broke up at the end of a term on a Friday, he stayed in bed until after 4pm on the Saturday, got up, showered, had something to eat and said he was tired and went back to bed until Sunday.
Grr!
Meanwhile, I was up by 8am, cleaned the kitchen, hoovered and did the shopping for the week and made tea.

Ducky23 · 15/04/2015 17:39

Ahh that will be nice lulu Grin and maybe there will be another baby soon!

Ahh lil Hmm fwiw, I had an induction with a high posterior cervix and only just needed the drip. You may find the pessary works for you but do not be afraid to ask for g&a when you have the pessary or anythig like that it makes it SO much better to deal with. If you start on the pessary or they break your waters and every thing starts you could still have a water birth!

lil EMCS isn't so bad, the midwife came to take out my stitches yesterday (5 days since op) and everything feels pretty normal now. Before it felt tight, I have to wear granny pants as all mine are too low on the scar until it heals completely but the important thing is that babies are safe.

The only down side was that I couldn't pickup DD from her cot until my cathetar was out. But the midwifes were on call to do that.

Last night went a bit better, still had her crying and doing the gas type movements but I managed to soothe her into her hammock eventually.

We went to register her today so she's offically on the grid now! Also popped to get some extra clothes since she's just too big for some of the newborn items we got.

Cupcake92 · 15/04/2015 18:44

Lulu that made me laugh Grin and how nice that you'll have some family close by! That's wonderful news :)

Oo Lill good luck!!! :D yay!! Don't worry the pessary usually works quite well tbh :) u may still have ur water birth :) I obv can't comment on EMCS as my experience wasn't the best. But u really easily could go vaginally.

And Ducky don't worry about the smear test it'll he absolutely fine! :)

Siarie glad ur all doing so well! :)

My stomach feels so tight Confused on the plus side I'm sat with a bowl of cereal and a cuppa Grin washed all the bedding today and got it dry in the sunshine :) so lovey fresh bed tonight I can't wait!!

Cupcake92 · 15/04/2015 21:27

Just ate a ton of garlic mushrooms and was loving it whilst eating them as they were so so good but now I think I'm going to throw up Confused the thought of slippery mushrooms is making my stomach twist blehhhhhhhh!

Ducky23 · 15/04/2015 21:40

Sorry guys I just need a rant and have no where else to go SadSadSad

Seen her... The baby with dd's name SadSad I didn't go near her but it was so difficult for me. I don't know what I'm going to do. I knew it would be difficult but now it's so real Sad. Even a mutual friend came up and said 'have you been over to see her' and I just said 'no' and straight away she said 'i know, it's awful' Hmm

Anyway. Suppose what's done is done.

Cupcake92 · 15/04/2015 22:19

See other people are seeing that what she's done is wrong. U have good enough reasons not to want to see her or speak to her at all. Can't imagine how u must feel SadFlowers

lillamyy1 · 16/04/2015 00:06

Thanks guys, I'll keep my fingers crossed that the pessary works Smile
Oh Ducky, I'm so sorry Flowers Like cupcake says, other people realise that woman is in the wrong.

LuluJakey1 · 16/04/2015 00:07

It must be very hard Ducky. You are right though. It's done and you are going to have to grit your teeth because you will bump into them. You are bigger than that and can do it. You'll always have your DD because she was part of you. You have DS as well and he's lovely. Let them get on with it- they obviously aren't very sensitive people.

LuluJakey1 · 16/04/2015 00:15

Lill, lots of good luck tomorrow. Don't give up the dream of a good birth. My friend was induced in awful health circumstances and had a great birth. Just think you'll have your DS in your arms very very soon. We'll all be wishing you a good birth and thinking of you.

My DS has been such a sweetie tonight- all giggles and smiles and cuddles. I love watching him and DH together. They just love each other to bits. He's fast asleep now and we have just been remembering his birth. DH said there were a few moments he thought he was getting woozy when he was going down to have a look when I was pushing so he stayed up the head end until the midwife said the head was out. He thinks women deserve a medal for everytime they give birth. Smile

Ducky23 · 16/04/2015 07:12

Good luck lil! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin Hope it goes quick for you! Keep us updated!

I'm back off to hospital. Ds didn't sleep last night, he's sounding worse than the other day Hmm then we have his appt with his consultant. Hopefully he will say he can have a bit of food because I don't remember the last time he slept well. Im exhausted Confused

Cupcake92 · 16/04/2015 07:27

Good luck today Lill!!!! Grin keep positive and it'll all go perfectly :) I'm at work all day so will try my hardest to pop in a see what's been happening :)

And aw no Ducky :( ur poor DS. Ur situation with DS sounds exactly like mine with my DS on his 1st year. He was always in hospital being sick and pooping like mad! And wouldn't eat, and doctors thought I was crazy and kept sending me home. Finally I got cross and demanded some tests and turned out he had Rotavirus! So I was right all along. So u stick at it and make sure they do something to make him better :) I hope he feels lots better by the end of the day.

Ducky23 · 16/04/2015 08:40

Good to know I'm not the only one cupcake Confused they think I'm nuts! But each time he's been ill I've known and known what it was before them! My gps have been utterly useless. Luckily the hospital have been amazing to us

SIL has just rang to say PIL very happy but a bit upset that she is moving up here too! Said at least it is the same place so they won't be driving all over the country to see their children.

They have to stay where they are because of grandmas otherwise I think they might move as well Smile

DS has been awake since just after 5- bright as a button.

lillamyy1 · 16/04/2015 09:32

Thanks everyone Smile I'm a bit nervous but not as much as I was yesterday. My mum's coming with me because DP has to work until 6pm.
I hope they find out what's wrong with DS today Ducky.

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 16/04/2015 13:55

And it's started..... I'm already looking for lil updates! Confused

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 16/04/2015 14:03

Yes Ducky, she sees them a couple of times a week at least. She is going to see the grandmas tonight to tell them.

Sounds like the Duckling is on his way to being weaned Smile How long does it take before they have whole meals that are not milk? I haven't read up on it yet but I had better because you are just a few weeks ahead of me.

Fingers crossed for Lill today.

DH has taken DS out and I am sunning it in the garden.
