Bearsinmotion · 20/05/2015 14:44

PS I do like your glasses Grin

Siarie · 20/05/2015 15:24

Congrats Tori! Spending your birthday in labour, wow not something you'll forget. I spent mine unboxing boxes and eating cheesecake yesterday.

We are all unpacked here and moved, can't believe we managed to do it all in two days!

Cupcake92 · 20/05/2015 15:26

The sale is just an added bonus just for that evening Ducky. Is like a seminar rele I guess. U sit and listen to experts speaking and asking questions etc. there's midwives there u can ask questions to and stuff :) just helps u prepare for having a baby.

Oh congratulations Tori!! So glad he's here now! :) he's adorable! Glad ur feeling well and what a lovely name :) Flowers
Agree with Bears too, lovely glasses! I go and pick my new ones on Friday but no idea what to get lol!

Cupcake92 · 20/05/2015 15:27

Tori, he is lovely and looks very composed there. Am so glad he is here and you are both safe and well. He looks like a big lad but his weight isn't anything huge. My friend had a 10lb 8oz baby Shock Oliver is a nice name too.

Hope you are both home soon!

lillamyy1 · 20/05/2015 20:45

Aw bless Tori! I hope he latches on wel soon :) keep going!

Ducky23 · 20/05/2015 22:28

No cupcake, think I will start breakfast then a week or so later add lunch then a week or so after that add dinner.

He's going to be having weetabix with his milk for breakfast. Smile Need to look at what stuff porridge has in too.

She said at the mo just avoid milk, but he may have allergies to other things (fingers tightly crossed he doesn't!)

Have brought him some special dairy free butter and sweet potato to try mash Grin

Cupcake92 · 20/05/2015 22:40

Oo yummy! Sweet potato is a good one :)
Weetabix is so good for weaning as well! I hope he enjoys them ducky :)

My pelvis is rele painful tonight :( n it goes down my right leg. It's so uncomfortable and annoying!

LuluJakey1 · 20/05/2015 22:47

Ducky, we went to a different baby group yesterday and it was more of a social thing really. Mums chatting over tea/ coffee and babies on the mats in the middle. It is 0-1 yrs but they were all about Ds's age or younger. So no one was fleeing round. The other group we went to a few times was a bit yummy mummy competitive and I can't be bothered with that.

I love the idea of your Ds sitting holding hands with his little friend. DS didn't do any of that but he was very interested in the other babies, especially when the one next to him had an Oleg grub and he thought it was his and started to cry.

lillamyy1 · 21/05/2015 05:24

Ducky, I'll be very excited when it's time to wean DS, thinking up lots of different delicious meals for him Grin
Keep at it Tori, I found bf so much harder than I expected but if it's something you want to do and if you've got the support it's worth persevering. If it takes a while and DS is getting hungry there's no shame in topping up with formula!

Ducky23 · 21/05/2015 07:35

This group seemed really relaxed, which I was surprised about. I was expecting them all to be a big yummy mummy! All the ladies are a bit older than me but have been v nice. We might go and try out another one today.

Was going to try weetabix today for breakfast. But he slept until 5.30 this morning (longest he has gone yet!) and I have him a small feed and he's still not hungry! She said I have to give him his full bottle first and then wait for an hour or so.

Siarie · 21/05/2015 09:10

Yummy mummy competitive would entertain me, I'd be intentionally controversial to see how everyone reacted ha!

I was just looking up groups myself, there is a NCT group that looks close by.

Moving was really hard work, only reason we did it so quickly was because DH took a day off to help. So we had s rotation going and dad will sleep for a few hours between feeds some days.

Going to take dd out to get her passport photos later today!

lillamyy1 · 21/05/2015 17:51

We went to a new group today too - it was for tiny babies to preschoolers so a big rowdy mixture! Lots of lovely people there Smile
Has DS had some food today Ducky?
Cupcake, I really feel for you with your PGP Flowers is it any better today?
Well done with the move Siarie! What are your first impressions of your new neighbourhood?
I've just been to have my hair cut! It was really long and it's naturally very thick so I'd been just putting it in a ponytail every day since DS arrived as I've had no time to sort it out or even brush it between washes Blush
I've had loads of the weight taken out and it's now in a medium-length bob - still just long enough to tie back if I want to. I feel much better for it!

Cupcake92 · 21/05/2015 21:15

Hope everyone enjoyed there baby groups today! :)

Lill it was worse today, it was hard to sit on the chair at work as my hips were aching so much I had to keep standing up and walking round. I was so thankful to get home and get on the sofa lol!
It's getting worse and it's annoying, in bed at night it's awful and I wake up every time I need to turn over and I have to literally sit up and then turn and lie down. Today my mom said I looked awful like I'd not slept on days lol Grin honestly the bags under my eyes look so bad!! Confused

I need to buy my pregnancy pillow! But have to wait for pay day which is next week!

lillamyy1 · 21/05/2015 21:48

Oh cupcake Flowers Have you tried putting just a normal pillow between your legs in bed? That helped me a lot. Also when I went to the physio she said don't sit cross legged or put weight on just one leg - eg when you put on pants or trousers, don't stand on one leg but sit down to do it. When you stand up or sit down, engage your pelvic floor muscles, glutes and deep abdominals because it will take the pressure off your pelvic joints.

LuluJakey1 · 21/05/2015 22:34

Decision made. I am taking a full year off. DH starts his new job in September and that will be stressful enough without me going back to work and Ds starting nursery. I told the Head today who was lovely.

LuluJakey1 · 21/05/2015 22:36

Cupcake, that sounds awful. Does a normal pillow help? Did you have this last time?

Ducky23 · 21/05/2015 22:52

Lil, he was meant to have breakfast, but his feeding was all over the place today! But he had a banana at lunch time! I cut it into fingers and he very easily grabbed one and got it straight into his mouth, he was sucking it at first then a bit broke off and he sucked it down and started gagging Confused I shit myself he brought it back up quickly though. Towards the end he got the hang of it tho.

Wooooo lulu Grin are you happy with your decision?

Oh cupcake, that sounds awful! Where are you at in terms of your physio referral?
