Tori / your friends in Notts? Where do you live? I'm in Nottingham! Grin

I hope your DS gets better soon Ducky, and your DD Siarie.

Cupcake, sounds like you've been very productive!

Bears, your DS is gorgeous!

I've totally let the house go since having DS. My mum's round a lot so she does the most pressing chores but there's a layer of dust on the TV and bookshelves and most of the house is pretty untidy! Usually I couldn't bare it but there's nothing I can do as for one thing DS takes up all my time and another thing I'm not allowed to do housework (was v glad to be told this at post natal appt in front of DP... Doesn't mean he does much to help though unless I nag him, then he gets grumpyHmm )
Early bed for me tonight. Last night was horrific - DS just wouldn't sleep for longer than half an hour at a time and DP was sleeping in the other room because he had to be up at 6:30am so I let him off baby duties. Same tonight, fx that DS sleeps better because Ive got a busy day tomorrow.
Hope everyone else gets a good nights sleep too!!

Tori, I really hope everything is ok. If this is your second episode of reduced movement (or more) then they should follow it up with a scan. Please let us know how you get on.

Well, I'm heartbroken. My dog that was poorly, he was getting better. Sat on the sofa a few hours ago. I got up to give ds a bottle and he's passed away Sad I cannot sleep. I'm so upset. I know it sounds silly but he was part of the family Sad

Sorry tori, just re read your post. You had a trace? Was it showing movements? If you are not happy, do not leave the hosp. Demand a Doppler scan x

Ducky I've been fine since H left. I think it's more because I'm in a routine with DS and work and when I'm home and he's in bed I'm exhausted and go straight to sleep myself so there's not rele much time to think about it all. I'm almost sure it'll hit me once baby is here as doing all that by myself with be hard.
Oh no Ducky :( :( I'm so sorry about ur poor dog Flowers sending big hugs to u Flowers

Tori yes I had a nice time out thank u, I struggled to sit still! I was eating my dinner and my lower back ached so much I decided to get up and go to get some drinks. I'm getting all this cleaning down now as I just know I won't be able to hardly do much later on In pregnancy so it's kind of a motivation.
I hope everything's okay Tori Flowers did they give u a scan?

Lill I hope u managed to sleep last night!!

I'm so heartbroken, he was the lively one, now you can tell there is something missing in the house Sad

Tori I hope it goes well today at the hospital. Flowers
I had DS at City! Everyone who looked after me was amazing, I was so impressed. much prefer city to queens
Ducky, I'm so, so sorry about your dog FlowersFlowers it really is like losing a family member, I was so upset when my dog died.

DS slept a bit better last night but only a bit. It was just me and him I'm the nursery again as DP had work really early again this morning and another long shift. I've been bfing in the night because I'm scared of losing my supply, but it does make the feeds last so much longer. He's also often doing that thing where he needs a poo and he's grunting and writhing and crying with discomfort. I've got an appt at the doc with him about his wheezing on Friday so I'll mention it then.

Bearsinmotion · 13/05/2015 09:32

Have you tried a dummy lil? DS comfort sucks so would bf forever if I let him! But he goes straight off with a dummy!

So sorry Ducky :(

lillamyy1 · 13/05/2015 10:31

Yes DS is a comfort sucker!
He had got a dummy but I haven't tried it like that yet... Will give it a go!

Cupcake92 · 13/05/2015 13:01

Tori let us know how the hospital goes today Flowers

Lill I agree with Bears, a dummy would be good. And great for helping them settle! I wish DS still had his dummy lol

I'm so exhausted today :( my head hurts and my back is aching so much. DS wet his bed so I've had to strip all that and put it in the wash and the thought of hanging it all out makes me feel even more tired! Floors need hoovering and mopping too and I just can't do it :(
DS is being rather difficult today as well and wants constant attention and keeps wanting me to pick him up and I just can't.
I need a shower too but that isn't going to happen Grin will have to wait till my mom comes at 5 to go for one and she can keep an eye on DS.

Anyone else this sore, achy and tired at only 16 weeks?

Hi ladies! I'm back... it has been a long time!

I'm sorry for your dog Ducky Flowers
And FX for your induction Sunday Tori, everything will be okay and you'll soon meet your DC!! Grin
My DS was like yours Lillamyy, the feeds last really long.... Finally he found his thumb and now he is able to calm himself, and that helps him to sleep a whole night!

I stopped BF a few days ago, as I should be back to work in 2 weeks. DS is now 3.5 months and likes his new formula. Next week, he'll begin the integration into the kindergarten... It is a bit strange for me.... DS looks so small and I was with him 24/7 and now, I'll see him only a fwe hours a day, when I go back home... Confused But on the other side, I'm very happy to go back to work and see my colleagues again.

Ducky23 · 13/05/2015 19:07

Thanks everyone. I'm still in shock Sad

Tori hope everything goes well Sunday.are movements ok now?

Tori good luck for Sunday ull soon have ur baby in ur arms :)

Hi Steph! I hope the transition to work goes well! :) I'm sure ull miss DS loads but it'll give u a chance to be u again and have a break :)

Ducky I hope ur alright Flowers

I've still got a headache from this morning :(

Don't know if I've mentioned before but my dad left when I was only a few months old and since I was 16 he's been in contact on and off but sent me a message the other day asking to meet me and now I'm going to meet him on Saturday. Hmm not sure what to think tbh, he's got mental issues so his mum and dad, my nan and grandad, will be there too. I've not seen them for 8 years. What a weekend this will be lol

LuluJakey1 · 13/05/2015 22:19

Ducky- that is awful. Your poor dog! So sorry. It must have been an awful shock

Tori- so this time next week you will have a 3 or 4 day old! Congratulations and I hope it is a short and painless birth Hmm and you soon have your lovely baby to cuddle

I went to a baby and child first aid course today and had to leave DS in the creche there. It was the first time I have left him with anyone except DH or MIL . I felt sick and teary. I was only on the next floor up. When I finished and went rushing to get him he looked at me as if I was stopping him having a nice time. I could hear him laughing as I got to the door. The girl was playing peekaboo with him and he was laughing away. He had not missed me one scrap, not for a minute. Sad I ate a bar of Galaxy and a packet of crisps and felt better about it.

Cupcake - sounds like you could have a bit of a weekend!

It's 3 and I have to say, DD just slept for seven hours straight! She's 5 weeks old today Grin.

Tori is my birthday Tuesday too! I hope you have a better induction process than me, take lots of snacks it could be a while.

Cupcake92 · 14/05/2015 07:21

Oh bless Lulu. It's hard to leave them with someone else. But in a way it's such a good thing that he was happy :) hopefully ull have no problems in the future with him going to nursery etc. he'll probably like it :)

Tori that's exactly what happened with me and my DS Grin induced Sunday but he got here on the Tuesday at 9:26am Grin so it's very possible for u 2 to share ur bday! :)

Wow Siarie! That's rele for ur DD! Especially that young! :) I hope u manage to get lots of sleep urself!

LuluJakey1 · 14/05/2015 07:28

Tori- nice to share a birthday but a 3 day birth (if you start on Saturday) sounds a long time!!!!! If you start at 11.55 on Sunday night and he arrives at 12.01am on Tuesday morning that would not be as bad Smile

Lovely birthday present, a snuffly little baby to cuddle.

lillamyy1 · 14/05/2015 17:56

I hope you feel better today cupcake Flowers
And you, Ducky Flowers How's DS?
Hi Steph! Nice to hear from you Smile Wow, 4 months seems quite early to go back to work, but I'm sure DS will be fine and will enjoy meeting new people Grin
My DS slept for about 4 hours straight last night, then was awake for a feed, nappy change and an excited natter between 3:20 and 5ish then slept until 7, then asleep again until 11:30am!!! I brought him into bed with me when he was over excited and he nodded back off! It makes a world of difference although I know all the hvs and mws say don't have them in bed, I put him up next to my pillow so he's too high for me to roll over onto or to get the duvet over his face, and it's so nice sleeping close to him and makes him comforted and secure.
Tori, what a lovely birthday present Smile Did they say which way baby is lying now? Where are you being induced? I was born at Leicester General Grin Though if it's nuh city you'll be on the sane ward as me!
